Sites are immaculate with lush, green grass surrounding the concrete pads. Chris and Bunnie were very attentive, but never intrusive. Chris even came over after hours to check us in and even helped us back into our spot (we're newbies)! There's no where else that can compare, Lazy Pelican is where you'll find us from now on when we visit Crystal Beach!!

They have a restroom, shower, and complimentary laundry facility while you stay. The park is walking distance to the beach - a huge bonus. They have a covered area to hang out in, and there has been a few small gatherings with music from other campers to end a great beach day. Everyone is respectful of quiet hours and each others belongings. We couldn't imagine our beach vacation anywhere else!

I was on Route 82 going east from Port Arthur. After a short ferry ride I arrived in Cameron and was looking for a place to have a picnic lunch. That's when I noticed some open space and Murphy's RV Park. There stood a pavilion with a picnic table, it was perfect! So I called the number on their sign and Wendy answered. I told her I just wanted to picnic and wondered if there was a day use rate. She said they don't do that but since it's not busy go right ahead and enjoy yourself. I thought that was so kind and generous I decided to write this review even though I didn't have an RV or trailer or stay the night. Later I called her back to thank her and asked a few questions. They've got full hookups and WiFi, competitive rates and it's been a family business since 1953. That's 70 years of proof they're doing it right and that you should stay here with your RV or trailer. Thanks again Wendy, my dogs and I had a wonderful time!

The owner, Rich, was so nice generous. Would recommend to all who enjoy camping, and even tho the resort was full, it was very quiet and friendly. The bathrooms and laundry were well kept and clean.

I have never felt so welcome in any campground I've ever stayed at. The camp store is very well stocked, and unlike many campgrounds the store prices are very reasonable. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We are retired and were traveling around, and stopped for what we thought was gonna be a week, it was almost three months before we could tear ourselves away.

FREE LAUNDRY with new machines. Strong wifi with provided wireless router, plug n play. Lots of green for the dog. The bathrooms were so nice, residential quality. Gated.
