The baby spinach side with chickpeas, not so much. Appreciate them trying new things on the menu. But Doesn't go go with the food, it's almost like an Indian curry. Staff are good, and despite how busy it gets in here on a Saturday lunchtime they can cope with it pretty well. Food was as expected, I had the Caesar salad with chicken on this occasion (get the chicken as hot as you can take - who knew lettuce with hot sauce tastes so good!?). The counter with the drinks machine etc is roughly in the middle of restaurant and is easy to get to, which can sometimes be a pain in some stores. It isn't here. This is also all on one level so no trudging up and down stairs looking for bottles of the garlic hot sauce! All in all, a very decent Nando's.

Everything is pretty cheap, so you can order as much as you like and still have some cash left with you. I like their peri-peri chicken, although it can be a bit spicy for most people. And you can also buy one of their peri-peri sauces to enjoy at home. The decoration is very simple, but still nice and the service there is great considering the huge crowds that visit this place. All the staff are very nice and friendly and the place also has an outdoor seating area so you can enjoy your food outside when the weather is nice. Great place if you are in the mood for chicken.

Honestly, I went in not very excited thinking the food would be very underwhelming, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, I got chicken wings, fries, rice and some other items. All of it was very tasty. Their beverages including a non-alcoholic beer were also really good and it seems to be a popular notable spot for many Londoners and cares. I'm excited to possibly see more Nandos come to the US. Hopefully, they can live up to the hype that the locations in the UK have.

The staff here are so kind and friendly that really hope this place does well, but something tells…read moreme they're catering for a market that's maybe a little too exclusive. It's a halal restaurant owned and staffed by Muslims, so neither pork dishes or alcohol are available. It's not that big a deal the food's good but non-meat options are extremely limited too, with just four dishes in the menu's vegetarian list. Although almost any SE Asian dish can be prepared with vegetables and/or a meat substitute by their very accommodating chef, this wasn't clear from the menu. Tofu 'wasn't delivered today' so their one Tofu-based dish wasn't available, so the chef made me an off-menu Thai Red curry with vegetables, which was very good, but not spectacular and at £9.50 (inc rice) seemed expensive, for its location the small stretch of nowhere on Hoe St between the Baker's Arms and Walthamstow, opposite a Tesco garage. Interestingly, a selection of lobster dishes were listed, and I wondered how many customers would shell out £44 to eat crustacea in the E17 hinterland. Decor is interesting but seating is uncomfortable walls artexed in a sand colour to evoke a desert setting, wooden chairs and tables, with benches/booths at the back where it's not quite possible to sit up to the tables because they're solid. Walthamstow has become extremely cosmopolitan, so there's something very apt about a restaurant that's owned by a Burmese guy, staffed by young men from Pakistan, and that serves food from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Burma. I was psyched to discover it as only the two other places I know of Chequers pub in the High St. and a greasy spoon near the bottom of Queens Rd on Markhouse Rd serve Thai food, and not all the time. I rarely drink and I don't eat meat, so at first Thainese seemed like an ideal choice, but its lack of vegetarian choices, uncomfortable seating and high prices for the area wouldn't have me rushing back for dinner. Pad Thai is missing from the menu a plate of this for £6.50 probably would.

The whole meal came to £16 as we got a 10% discount for paying cash and collecting and they also gave us some free bombay potato which was really tasty too. If you're looking for something healthy to eat, this is a great place with a wide selection of…read morefood. I've only had the salads, Asian bento box, and the breakfast porridge. If you like Itsu and Pure, you'll probably like this place, but I've found some things are hit-and-miss and they don't have as much variety or rotation of salads as some of the other chains. They have a variety of cold salads / boxes, wraps, sandwiches, and various hot lunches like curries over rice. If you're looking for something clean and healthy to eat, this is a good place to come. My favorites are the Asian Fusion Boxes and my least favorite here is the porridge. Breakfast - They have a variety of things: egg pots, mango quinoa pots, yogurt pots, and a few flavours of porridge (plain, peanut butter honey and banana, blueberries, or acai berry). The mango quinoa pot is good, but expensive and it's tiny, probably 8 small spoonfuls or 4 medium sized spoonfuls. It's probably the same size as a little baby food jar. The porridge was terrible and probably the worst porridge I've had to date in London and I've eaten a lot (Pret, Pure, Pod, Leon, etc). The consistency was chunky and watery all at the same time and it just seemed like the consistency of vomit (sorry to be gross). I'd skip on breakfasts here altogether and go elsewhere. Salads - I've had the chicken tabbouleh salad (£5.99), the regular tabbouleh salad (£4.99), and one other one and they were fine. The regular tabbouleh salad was definitely pretty bland and needed the chicken or some protein to be filing and more tasty. Asian Fusion Boxes (£5.99) - These are one of my favorite things to eat for lunch - it's low carb, tasty, healthy, and filling. I could eat this once a week for lunch and not be tired of it. There's a salmon nori wrap, a salad with peas, edamame, and carrots, an avocado stuffed with salmon, and a seaweed salad. They have a chicken Asian fusion box too, which is pretty much identical except the avocado has chicken inside and the wrap has chicken. I think I prefer the salmon one better, as I like the avocado + salmon and the seaweed wrap + salmon combo better, but they are great. They also do 50% off some of the salads at the end of the day, 30 min before closing, so if you're looking for an inexpensive dinner, this is a good choice. They usually only have the tabbouleh salads left since they are the least popular option. Overall, good for healthy food, but not my favorite of the healthy-food chains in London, except for the Asian bento boxes.

Cannot recommend more for the grilled chicken burgers…read more This is a small kebab joint near Ilford Station. They do excellent grilled good, especially the grilled chicken burgers which are unbelievably nice and very healthy compared to the deep fried alternatives in other fast food stores. There are quite a few seats in what looked like a congested kebab house, about 8 x two seater tables and 2 x four seater tables. It has a large plasma tv at the back that usually runs BBC News 24. The place is very busy, and as a result the food seems to be excellent. They do halal sausages and saveloys, which are nice but nothing special, and their chicken shish's are brilliant. The battered cod is pretty good too. The only downsides, and the reason for dropping a star, is that the chips are very poor. Theyre plasticy and greasy, which I dont really know why. Also, the lamb shish's are over spiced and over salted, so avoid them if possible. Everything else, especially the grilled food, is brilliant, and excellently priced.
