My wife and I drove in from upstate NY to visit the store and left with three pieces of furniture and smaller items which you cannot get here. The selection of antiques was amazing. The selection here and quality was excellent. Prices were reasonable. Many sales going on. However, I could not get past how EVERY employee (I saw at least 7) was beyond rude. We're not talking just a little inconsiderate, I'm talking RUDE. When I attempted to ask a question, i waited while being given withering looks by two employees behind the counter talking about their personal lives. One man looked up long enough to answer my question with a 2 word answer, then dismissed me by turning back to his conversation before I could ask a second question. When he saw I was still standing there, he was visibly annoyed, rolled his eyes and walked away. I would have stayed and browsed for hours had it not been for the staff. read more

Called to request a photo of the inside of a desk. Was told that I'd have to call on Thursday and ask for the owner and "He'll have to see". When I asked if someone couldn't snap a quick photo she exclaimed "No, we don't have a camera!" they seemed unwilling to acknowledge that it's 2015 and few people don't have the ability to take a photo with the simplest smart phone. I cannot speak to their selection but this was a customer service experience which can only be described as adversarial. Anyone in business with a decent website in 2015 needs to know that if someone on the phone requests a quick shot of something, that it's just lazy not to oblige. read more

The shop has two floors full of antiques, china, collectibles, furniture, jewelry, knick-knacks, vintage toys and anything else that one would collect or have need of to furnish their homes. There's always something interesting to look at and the prices are very reasonable. This is a multi-dealer shop so the stock is constantly changing. I love this shop and have had a good time getting to know the folks that work there. I love that they can be brusque one minute and charming the next... The owner is an older gentleman & he admits to not enjoying technology but for the shop's sake trying to keep up. He's still enjoying his old flip phone. I've been told that the staff are not putting the content online but are having someone come in, photograph the new items and add them to the site as well as maintaining the site. There is no iphone or computer inside the store. Receipts are written by hand. I hope this info explains why a photo could not be sent immediately. They are nice people who are trying their best to help. The owner has opened the shop for me by appointment so I could pick up a set of chairs on the one day that they wouldn't get rained on all the way home to NH. They have answered any question I may have honestly and do not sugar coat the answers. They do not follow me around the store or offer me tea or waste my browsing time with small talk. What the shop can offer is nice stuff at good prices. This is an old fashioned antiques shop run by old fashioned shop keepers, enjoy it. It is rare and delightful. read more

The good: lots of little nooks and crannies to explore, prices are fair. I've found kitsch and mid-Century in the same visit. Relaxed browsing is encouraged. The bad: Owner can be inexplicably rude, especially when negotiating a sale. Haggling within reason is a part of the antiquing joy, but this guy takes it personally. The rudeness isn't even entertaining--it makes for an unpleasant experience. Antique selection is skewed toward "old lady attic" with spindly furniture. Overall: Don't make a trip for this one, but if you're in the area, stop by. The basement section holds the most interesting items. read more

This is a great shop with a wonderful selection of larger pieces of furniture and well-curated accent pieces. What began as a "we should check out this place" moment on a Saturday afternoon turned into a "how do we fit this into the trunk?" moment several hours later. I have been into dozens of antique shops in MA and other New England states, and I always find amazing merchandise at ridiculously fair prices at Holliston Antiques! The shop is a multi-dealer store, so there are always new items. The furniture ranges from vintage to period, and the prices are usually a fraction of what other antique shops offer similar items at! They also have 25% off sales seemingly every few months. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality merchandise (especially furniture) at tremendous prices! Don't go to IKEA or Jordan's or Crate and Barrell-go get something that'll last another 100 years at Holliston Antiques! read more

I will not go into this store again and suggest that you do not either. This is because of the rudeness of the staff and owner. My 6 year old son and I went into this store today. We found the toy section, and my son, with me by his side, appropriately handled some of the toys as I would have if I were interested in buying them. The staff member in the store told him that he could not touch the toys. When I inquired why, she made egregious accusations that he was "banging" on things and being disrespectful. Furthermore, she told me that I as the mother, am responsible for disciplining him. Disciplining him for what? I am a mother of 3 and an early childhood teacher. I assure you, if my children are rude or disrespectful, I am the first to correct their behavior. He was merely looking and gently touching these items. We live in a small town and we need strong local businesses that treat their customers with respect. Based on the way we were treated, I will not enter that store again. I have never been compelled to write a review before, however, after the way that we were treated, I felt it necessary to share this story with others. It was a very upsetting experience for the both of us, and it is a shame that people behave that way towards others. read more
