I recently brought my car to Town Fair Tire in Wallingford for a slow leak in my front passenger side tire. They told me there had been a plug that came out and the tire couldn't be repaired. Not only had I never had a plug in that tire, but they also insisted I needed a brand new tire--and even suggested replacing all four, despite my car only having 26,000 miles. Wanting a second opinion, I brought my car to A-1 Complete Auto Care. They quickly identified the real issue: a nail in the tire. They confirmed there had been no previous plug and were able to patch the leak with no problem. Their honesty, professionalism, and straightforward service completely blew me away. While our tire was disintegrating as we were traveling in the breakdown lane, we pulled off at the next exit. Since we had to travel with only the exposed rim for about 2 miles we thought we might have to check into a hotel for the night to fix the problem. Then (cue heavenly music!) we spotted D & S Auto Repair. When David heard about our problem and saw that, in fact the rim was destroyed, he volunteered that he had a trailer tire already mounted on the rim that he would sell us and mount for $100! This is one of the most gracious acts of kindness we have experienced and years of touring.
