Now it was up to us to take on the responsibility of making arrangements for his headstone. Clayton's Funeral Home recommended Stone Unlimited, and we are so glad they did. Stone Unlimited is located near the cemetery, so one day while visiting the grave-site we popped in to ask some questions. We weren't sure what we needed to do or what to expect. We met Marcy, who was wonderful and sat with us even without an appointment to walk us through everything. We had a lot of anxiety from the realization that we now had to figure out how we could ever create something that properly memorialized the patriarch of our family. She knew it was an emotional time for us and was very patient, explaining how the process worked, what the cemetery rules were for headstones, and the cemetery's design approval process. She took her time and explained all of our options without overwhelming us. Over the next hour and a half we talked about things like color, etchings, images, and the ways in which each of those choices could affect the chances of our design being approved. Over the following weeks we bombarded her with questions and revisions, both in person and over the phone, and she never made us feel like we were bothering or inconveniencing her. She was fantastic and was able to create a design that incorporates all of the things that were important to our father: his faith, his Irish heritage, and his career in the NYPD. A design that his wife of 56 years and his 6 very opinionated kids could all agree was beautiful. Marcy estimated it would take about 12 to 16 weeks for design to be approved and the stone created and put in place. Even with an early rejection from the cemetery and some redesign sessions prior to resubmitting, they still were able to set the stone in place just 12 weeks after our original conversation. The care and attention to every detail from Stone Unlimited during this difficult time was amazing. When the completed stone brought tears to our eyes, we knew that we had put our faith in the right people. We cannot recommend them enough.

They pitched the patio ever so gradually away from the door so the water does not pool by the house. It looks beautiful... mulitishaded beige pavers with a cocoa colored border. The three Mexican fellas did a meticulous and artistic job, laying an intricate pattern with the pavers and rounding the corners for a gentler look. We are soooo happy with this job! I made a nice lunch for the guys every day and they appreciated it. (I don't know why this says San Francisco as we are in Plainview, L.I.)

Park around the area and once you paid for your items show your receipt to the workers in the yard. They will pick up your order via the forklift and drive it to your cars trunk or open bed pick up. They will deliver of course for big ticket items. Great prices and good quality materials for the money. Remember, you may save a little buying similar items from big building material companies, but they sell quality items here, you will pay a little more but the end product is worth it, trust me.
