I love the promotions that the store puts on because the products can range from household to gardening to sport and everything is such good quality at very reasonable prices. I have tried a lot of their brand products and have found them to be of excellent quality at a low cost. One thing I love about all their stores is that the layout is similar and this makes the task of shopping that much less time consuming. The smell of freshly baked bread is very appealing and again of good quality at affordable price. I still can't understand how a trolley full of groceries can fill your cupboards and still leave change in your pocket!

I love the way that each store shares the same building model so you don't have to wonder the aisles for hours on end. I find each LIDL uses local produce which is a massive plus. Everything is high quality but low prices, great for any home on a budget or otherwise. I also love the specials that they have. You can get great stuff for your home, car or even holidays including skiing if you time it right. If only they delivered!!

It was only then that I realised it was actually quite good. Fruit and veg arrives daily with nice additions like papaya, watermelons, kumquats and persimmons. The little bakery has fresh baked bread made on site along with pastries, buns, donuts, cookies and scones. All really well priced. There is a big selection of regular bagged breads, pancakes and wraps etc. Also gluten free ranges of bread, rolls and rice/corn cakes. Irish, grass fed beef is pretty good. Reasonably big range of fresh meat and already cooked. The beef pastrami is very good! The constant rotation of different county produce each month is a great addition. Things like lovely Greek yogurt, olives, spreads and very good pittas from Greece, baklava, hummus and beans from Turkey or flavoured oils, vinegars and cured meats from Spain. The have 10 pack of Belgium caramel waffles at £1.50 that taste exactly like Starbucks 2 pack that cost about 62 quid There is a forever changing middle section with homeware, kitchenware, gardening, tools, school stuff and fitness etc. The alcohol section has some super cheap beer and cider deals. Most of the spirits are cheaper brands(the ones that give killer hangovers) Some things to avoid: The herbs/spices, they are pretty wick apart from the white pepper. Baresa olives! The black ones are awful. Dentalux toothpaste. The staff are mostly friendly.

The bakery in this shop has a good selection of freshly baked breads, buns and pastries, a selection of freshly made pizzas and calzones are beside a hot food counter which has whole chickens, sausages, wings and other hot food Theres also a good cheese counter with a variety of cheeses from stilton to cheddar to flavoured cheeses, perfect for anybody who loves cheese there is a great selection to choose from here. Has a home wares section which has bedding , towels and other home wares and selling kitchen crockery, toasters. Microwaves , theres a good tech section selling tvs, dvd players, iPods, mobile phones , dvds, there really is a good stock of everything in this Asda. Asda sell a wide selection of foods and drinks, theres a good off license part which sells a good range of wines, beers and spirits. It's a good size and also includes a Post Office so you can grab a few last minute groceries once you have done your Post Office stuff. All boxes ticked. You wouln't do your weekly shop in this store, but the that's not the aim of Centras. What you will get is freshly baked bread, pastries and croissants, fruit and vegetables (although nothing too exotic as I know from the time I stupidly tried to get passion fruit here - I really need to manage my expectations). You can also pick up nice coleslaws, dips, cooked meats and basic groceries. Prices are higher than Asda or Tesco but then you're paying for speed and convenience. There are also frequent 'two for one' type offers too. At the back is a hot food bar where you can get very nice panninis, stew and chips in super quick time. There is some frozen food too and a good range of papers and magazines. All in all this is a good one stop shop when you're in a hurry and need to tick off a few jobs in one place.

I like this Centra as it is more spacious than some of the other branches, the shop is bigger and the queues are smaller. I also love the fact that the post office is just off to the side of it as it saves on two trips - the lovely girl there today helped me send my wedding invites and arrange postage etc for me as I having a mild panic attack! They also have a surprisingly large alcohol section with a really good selection of spirits and wines. There's no dedicated parking for this Tesco but if you're lucky you can get parked across the street in the parking bays. Theirs is an ATM outside to add to the convenience. I really like this wee Tesco Express - it has everything the larger stores have! My only slight problem with this store is the fact that they have 2 self-service check out but they never seem to be working/accepting cash which means that there is always a big queue for the 2 other checkouts.

It's a great space too, a far cry from the typical Centra or Spar with very funky design features, high ceilings and great graphics and colours which make it a pleasure to visit. Really great addition to the area and a sign of things to come for this rapidly changing part of Belfast.
