To have a doctor come in and tell you , you have no fractures or breaks then walk you towards the door, to only then say let men go double check my computer to then say you have a fracture, is completely unprofessional. and never once be offered a wheelchair as they see you struggling to walk. I would not recommend this clinic. The nurse didn't even know how to put a brace on and had an attitude from The moment I walked in and was taking vitals. This place lacks professionalism. read more

Quite a long wait at 9am on Saturday. Once we got back to the doctor it was another 15min for service. Happy with the stitches, and billing to my insurance went as planned. The staff were nice, but you do feel like a number versus a person. The Doctor that came in to take a look at the need was obviously in a huge hurry, but in the end you're going to an instacare facility not your best friends house to hang. Small improvements on being al little more friendly and understanding of a hurt child would make this 5-Stars. read more

The check-in process was easy and quick. We've never had billing problems with IHC Instacare. They took my daughter's vitals a few minutes after we arrived and ran tests for her problem. Dr. Spencer came in the exam room and explained preliminary lab results. He described treatment procedures, said he would follow up with further lab tests and answered our questions. He called in prescriptions to our pharmacy. He was very helpful. read more

Three years ago I posted a five star review of this place. However that was because of the resident podiatrist. She has since left and their service has gone seriously downhill. I called them today because my son has a severe ingrown toenail. The lady told me it was something they could take care of. However, my wife went in and all they did was give him a referral to a podiatrist. So for $50 I got a diagnosis, which I already knew and a referral which I didn't need. I called and talked to a supervisor and was told sorry that's the chance you take when you see a provider. She even admitted that it was something they COULD fix but that it was up to the doctor on duty. So they could have fixed his toe but instead they'd rather take my money, do nothing and make a 14 year old walk around on an infected toe for a few more days. I'm already paying $500 a month for SelectHealth Insurance and now I've been scammed by their InstaCare. And the part that makes me the most mad is that they didn't fix the problem. read more

Great staff, and easy check-in, with a reasonable wait time. My teen son had a hemorrhoid, and was in tears. The freckled, Hawaiian-looking doctor behaved very unprofessionally and strangely: said it definitely wasn't a hemorrhoid (IT WAS. Another doctor diagnosed it correctly, a few days later), and referring my (frightened!) son to a colo-rectal specialist. My son was so freaked out that I asked for additional time with the doctor, so he could explain it to me, the mom. The doctor took us in a room-- seeming oddly nervous-- and said again it was something more serious. Unhappily, I said "Okay," at which point the doctor exclaimed, "Well, that wasn't so bad!" and left the room. My take? This Doc thought we were doctor/pill shopping (at one point, he accusingly asked me why I hadn't brought my son in "before the weekend," as if that meant something), and just did not want to deal with us. Unprofessional doctor who mis-diagnosed a simple condition, and angered a Mama bear by acting flippant. What else can I say? We won't be back. read more

My experience at this instacare was really great actually. I came in with my baby who was very sick on Monday night, and the staff was very nice and helpful in checking me in. Yes- there was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected during flu season anyway. We got to see a doctor within an hour. The nurse who came in first was very warm and welcoming and Dr Suchyta came to see us after the nurse and she was so wonderful! She was very warm and took time to address my babies concerns. She even called me the next day to see how we were doing! I wouldn't expect this from an insta care facility but Dr Suchyta went above and beyond to take care of us. I would recommend this doctor and facility to others. read more

There is always a longer wait here than at the other nearby clinics. The front desk staff has been rude on more than one occasion. One time I had an urgent problem and was told I could not see a doctor because the receptionist did not think my issue was worth the doctors time. I was baffled by this as I was there, willing to pay my copay. My account with them was current. I had only been there a couple times. Yet the receptionist thought she was qualified to say what needed medical attention. Eventually I convinced her to let me talk to a nurse who took care of me. But since the receptionist bad mouthed me to the nurse (I could hear her), the nurse treated me like an idiot at first. She was nicer once she heard my story. I have never had any problem with the actual doctors, but I always go to the Murray Instacare now. read more

I have "travelers sickness" as they called it. After 24 hour loss of fluids we call this clinic to ask if we needed to go to the hospital. They gave us good information and suggested we come in there first as it would be cheaper and they could transfer us if needed. I brought my whole circus; the terrible 2 year old, the hungry 8 month old and my giant man full of concerned questions. The main Doctor David Poor was my favorite part of the whole visit. He answered every question my partner had, he even stopped the exam during parts so he could fully listen to him. I was really impressed with the fluidity of the staff. My kids had toys in the lobby and suckers (because I am a sucker to occupy them). After 2 liters of IV saline, the doctor immediately called my prescriptions to my favorite pharmacy, then they casually let us exit. They accepted my Medicaid Select Health and confirmed it on the spot so we have no billing issues. Overall, the best I could expect from today's healthcare system. read more

Compassion is lacking. Professionalism as well. My daughter was billed for a level IV appointment. For those of you don't know it is a higher level that typically includes lengthy attention by a doctor and other criteria. She simply went in to get tested for Strep. $140.00 charge for a quick swab at the back of the throat and few questions. Weeks later daughter lost her voice and developed a cough. $100.00 charge with advice to use saline for possible nasal drip. Daughter has now been coughing for 6+ days and just tried doctor on call whose advice besides all of the things we tried was to simply to allow the illness to "run its course". So a big "I don't really care" that your daughter can't sleep. You know, because sleep isn't part of the healing process or anything. Yes, she has tried the saline nasal solution suggested by doctor as well as the Mucinex DM (already had tried other Dextromethorphan before we came but thought maybe Mucinex might be higher quality). Yes before we ever came to them we had already Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) and yes Unisom for sleep. So if you would like to spend a lot of money for not a lot of caring or compassion this is your place. PS. I actually hate writing this review. This clinic used to be Bryner in Holladay and our original pediatricians were amazing. Diane who is still a nurse there is absolutely AMAZING. She was so great with our kids for so many years especially with vaccinations. Unfortunately she now seems to be the exception. Part of the problem these days is that doctors seem to have more of an incentive to not treat so you come back for multiple office visits all billed at full rate. read more

They opened precisely at 9am. I suggest getting there early though to ensure your spot on line - we arrived at 8:45 and once they opened they recognized I was there first even tho someone had just walked I and went straight to the desk. Check in was very fast. And then I got called in minutes later. The usual followed blood pressure, and other vitals. I need a strep swab, so the doc came in about 10-15 mins later. She was great. Really liked her. She was not in a rush and really wanted to make sure she answered all my questions. I would def come here again when needed. It was clean and professional. read more

I love new hospitals! And especially one part of the intermountain group. This clinic (with InstaCare - open daily until 9pm) is conveniently located north of 215, on Highland Dr (2000 E) and it looks so pretty from the outside (and the inside as well). We went for a Pediatric visit. The receptionists were very friendly and approachable, the nurses were knowledgable and efficient and we really like our doctor as well. It didn't seem very crowded at all and there's plenty of parking. This will be my official go-to place for doctor visits and other emergencies! read more

Go in for depression, tells me in front of everyone in the damn lobby "if you're going to kill or hurt yourself go to LDS hospital and get committed." What in the royal fu$@ is wrong with this guy... This guy needs a career change or to retire. Scribbled a prescription for something he seemed to know nothing about and that was clear he wasn't listening to me. He seemed frustrated to even talk to me and was more interested in getting me out the door. I don't even know what I payed for except for humiliation. Mediocrity at the highest of levels. read more

My son started seeing Dr. Ferrera at Holladay Pediatrics when he was born, he was the rotating pediatrician at the hospital. Immediately, my husband and I fell in love his with bedside manner, professionalism but friendly approach, as well as his thorough knowledge. Sadly, Dr. Ferrera wasn't accepting new patients, but was willing to continue to see us outpatient, as he had been so hands on with our baby and helped us so much in the hospital. The staff here is amazing; they are friendly, memorable, professional, fast, and kind. We wouldn't want to ever bring our abby anywhere else! The building is always clean and appointments are always on time. The doctor always takes his time with us and I haven't seem any signs of overbooking, like you so often see elsewhere. The only thing I don't love about this office, is that it is located inside the clinic with the Instacare. I am always fearful of the many germs that are lingering just by walking in the door, yet we haven't had any issues (I am just a paranoid mom to a new baby). read more

So ill start off with the bad, they say they have switched computer systems and asked me more questions than i felt appropriate for being at INSTACARE i feel like crap as it is the last thing i wanna do is spend 10 to 20min getting signed in. The kicker this is the 2nd time this has happened in 3mo thanks to another unfortunate event. To add to this we now have to sign extra papers to give concent to treat me. I call BS on this, i'm here because i need non-emergency help thus I'm here and paying my co-pay which us concent. IHC has created such an unfriendly at times borderline no common sense system for patients when it comes to getting checked in. The final straw and the reason i wrote this review is I got the abovementioned all done with go and sit down and 2 people that checked in after me 1 almost 5min after ,got called back first. I was irritated but ill assume this is just an oversight. Now the good. The Staff From Reception, nursing, Dr's at this location are the best i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Out of the dozens pf DR's,Nursing,specialists i have dealt with here i can only Recall 2 staff members i felt where bad . That to me says a lot for the overall staffing. Last week I got a sliver of glass in my shoe while helping my uncle install windows. I have diabetic neuropathy so I didn't notice it until I got home and found the blood. I cleaned out the wound and couldn't find anything in it so I thought I was good. Cut to a week later and my toe was swollen, hot to the touch, and obviously infected. I went to the ER and they found the sliver on an X-Ray but the ER doctor didn't feel confident enough to try and get it. I was referred to Dr. Edwards by IMC ER. She was sweet, professional and extremely experienced. She was able to remove the shard from my toe without even numbing it. I felt no pain at all! The hospital is impeccably clean inside and out, even the restrooms. The staff was extremely helpful. They even had financial assistance since I'm currently unemployed. I can't recommend this place enough, at least the podiatry area. They were absolutely wonderful. read more

Totally incompetent and unprofessional. The staff takes their patients for granted. Tried to get a renewal of a prescription and it took four days. And then the prescription had errors in its writing and it took hours and two trips to their office to get it corrected. Their attitude was terrible. Staff is very unprofessional. Dr. Elizabeth Kelly is an amazing doctor. She listens to what my daughter has to say about her Asthma and allergies. She also takes into account all of her other chronic illnesses which NO other Dr. has ever done. If you have a child with chronic Asthma and/or allergies I would definitely get an appointment with her. You do have to prepare for a long wait for the appointment, with how good she is it can be a few months for new patients. But well worth it. read more

Unfortunately very confusing and unorganized staff! I've been here only once, the first appointment..expecting to find a pediatrician for my 2 kids.. Dr. Carter was awesome, but the staff is terrible, we relocated from Houston to Salt Lake City and a simple immunization records from previous doctor was a headache and it just couldn't be done. unfortunately that's Holladay pediatric fault. They told me they would contact me to let me know about what immunizations my kids needed... so weeks came by they never called me, I ended up calling them and found out that they lost the disclose form that I have filled in that first appointment..giving permission to send them my children's immunization/ history information to their clinic. They made my husband go all the way to the clinic back again and fill the same forms again, which he did, they said they would ( again) call us back to let us know when it would be the next vaccine and to set up a immunization appointment , again more then a week passed and no calls, no nothing. So needless to say I'll not be back, found another doctor and set my appointment already. Immunizations records should be something simple specially if the patient gives you all the info from previous doctor etc, etc ( which we did twice) no excuses for a " missing" forms or never calling us back when they said they would twice! very disrespectful towards patients and parents.shameful. read more

Worst visit I've ever had! I usually leave the doctors office feeling like they've done something for me but that was not the case today. The doctor took a strep test and it came back negative and said nothing I can do. I recommend you drink more water and eat cold things.... REALLY?! I can tell myself that. The staff always had a smile and upbeat (which is amazing in the health care industry). The Dr. was a step above. I love this clinic. The pediatrician who sees my 7 month old works there, and he, along with his nurse and the staff are wonderful! Very kind, helpful, patient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of. I have always felt happy with my visits. Today I lost my cell phone, and everyone at the front desk, including a nurse, called my number multiple times, helped me look for and even offered to tend to my baby while I ran to my car to check for my phone. They were so kind and helpful and turn around a stressful situation. I was SO grateful and it meant so much that they cared. Truly, the smiles, the upbeat attitude and caring about me and my family, makes a difference at this clinic and I will continue to commute just so we can stay with this amazing staff!! read more

The lady at the counter said that online check-ins confuse the people there - as in, patients get upset when people who appear to have just walked in go ahead of them. I'm sorry. Wow. Do yourself a favor and do not go here. It took a total of 4 hours to get a urinary tract infection resolved. Then, they prescribed us 2 medications with refills. They called us and told us not to fill this and gave us a weaker medication with no refills. My girlfriend became sicker and had to spend another 300 at another instacare for them to prescribe her the same medication that she had received in the first place. Then, they charged us twice for the urinalysis. I called and they told us that they would take it off. They didn't and now we are in collections. This was a full month of sickness over a urinary tract infection!!! I've never written a review for any company ever. But, trust me when I tell you, they are not looking out for your best interest. Only how much money they can make off of you. Go somewhere where they care. I would never disparage any company if they didn't deserve it 100 percent. I'm actually signing up for a yelp account just to so other people never have to experience this level of incompetency. read more
