Liz used to work with Bobbi Brown and Kevin Aucoin in NYC and has many connections to fashion designers and other popular figureheads in the fashion industry. She was very thorough and detailed, listening carefully to what all of our visions were for the perfect wedding makeup and made them into reality. The makeup stayed perfect even throughout the hot AZ weather and even lasted through some tears of joy from our wedding party. :) Marcy was equally amazing at working on our updos and on the bridal hairstyle. She was great at taking what our preferences were and creating a hairstyle that would look beautiful for each person's style and face shape. She made it all seem effortless which I know is quite the opposite after taking out all the bobby pins and rubber bands from my lovely updo! I moved to Sedona from the Palm Springs, area at about the time everything shut down a year ago…read more...no surprise, had to let my hair go from my blonde highlights and low highlights in the stay at home world we all joined. So! When I got my COVID vaccine shots I asked around to learn about the best hair colorists in Sedona. Many times over I heard about a couple of places, one of them being Elite. I went today to meet Kim Rose who I had spoken to a few weeks ago when booking my appointment. She is from California and was a hair stylist there for most of her career. She only recently moved to Sedona but smartly landed at a well known salon catering to color and style clients. She is planning to stay in Sedona and has quickly built up her clientele. I'm so impressed with Kim. She really took the initiative to suggest what to do especially given the natural colors that have been able to grow without color this past year. She suggested incorporating the beautiful natural light brown color of my base with low highlights to make the growth be less noticeable in between salon visits. She then painstakingly and expertly "foiled" my whole head. Quite a treat after a year, but the point is she tests listed an overall blonde look without being too blonde which is what I wanted. She perfected subtle in giving me a blonde makeover taking into account I'm not all grey and we can let the base be part of the mix of colors. Kim is a find! The salon is well run, clean, conveniently on 89A west sedona, and truly what I had hoped to find in my mew life in Sedona. I highly recommend.

After a $200 blotchy color job and a ghosted follow-up (seriously, the other stylist refused to text, had no voicemail, and left a "reminder" the day before my appointment -- which I missed because I didn't see it until the next day), I was done. Especially after losing three loved ones that same month and still planning to call and explain... only to get completely ignored. Then I found Lyndsey -- and thank god I did. She's professional, communicative (she texts! what a concept), and actually listens. She removed the banded color from my last disaster, lifted my dark hair without damage, and gave me a look that actually got compliments. When I asked for a slight tone tweak (because she insists on making things perfect), she happily scheduled me back in with no issue. If you're tired of stylists with egos and outdated communication, go to Lyndsey. She's talented, kind, and worth every penny. She's the kind of person you actually want to hang out with.
