He spent 2 hours with my wife, myself & our dog, yes 2 hours!!! Who does that nowadays?? He was like a version of Cesar Milan, even the Spanish accent! He got to know my dog & us, and put me at so much ease! I knew after we left our consultation that he was the one to do the job. He & his staff work out of the 24 hour clinic, and it's extremely nice, big and clean, with plenty of lot parking. It's been a little over 6 weeks since he did the surgery, and we've been back for the 4 week visit, and the X-rays looked great! Our pup has really been great over this whole process & I thank Dr. B immensely! It's all because of him, that everything has turned out great! If you need surgery for your dog, I know that it's a very unnerving process. Dr. B will make you feel at ease, spend time with you discussing the options at hand & he'll also be very competitively priced. He's been doing surgeries for over 25 years, and he's one of the best in the country! He's a great person, as well as Vet. I'm so glad something inside me said to look for other options, and we found Dr. B! The amount of time he spent with us and the way he patiently explains exactly what he is doing, what he is looking for, and what every finding might mean - is truly rare. This is who you want to look after your fur-baby when your baby breaks something Dr. Belandria has a bedside manner - with pups and with you - that I've never seen before. Our visit did not result in surgery - Doc B's evaluation and imaging eliminated the things that veterinary science can actually fix. He spent several hours with us and explained in detail how to care for my pup and give the boy the support to let the soft-tissue injury heal as well as it can. Dr. Belandria followed up several times in the days following our visit (to make sure Play Dough recovered completely from sedation), and then several times over the next month to check in on how PD was healing. This is who I and our rescue will use going forward - I highly recommend you give him a try.

It is with a sad heart that I am changing my 5 star review into a 1 star review. I will post my…read moreoriginal review through the images. A few years ago we got a cat and this location was our favorite spot for our animal. In fact, they have used our image of our Ragdoll kitten, as their main default image on Yelp. In early February of 2022, I made an appointment to bring in our cat for a check up. Our favorite Doctor Sylvester has cut back on his hours in this establishment. When I made the appointment, it was a month in advance to get a specific day with Sylvester. I spoke with an employee about, if my wife and I would be able to come in together with our cat. It was expressed that it would be ok if we both came in together. That's why we specifically scheduled a day that we were both off of work together. On 03/05/2022, we came in with our cat Mosby for an appointment at 1:30pm. When we got to the door, it was locked. The receptionist appeared to go out of her way to avoid our presence at the front door. The front desk is about 6 feet from the clear front door. She was clearly trying hard to avoid us. We read a sign that said to call and wait in the car. We called and the receptionist answered the phone rudely. The customer service from her and the other employees on duty was so highly disrespectful and unprofessional. The way in which they communicated and treated us was beyond disgusting. Their tones and choice of words was shocking to observe in person. From my recollection, it was three separate female employees that all had the same horrible attitude. I asked if I could personally speak with the Doctor. This request was denied. They stated that only one person was allowed to go inside with the cat and appeared to enjoy losing us as a possible patient. I chose to go inside by myself and have a last conversation with Doctor Sylvester. I shared to Sylvester how highly upset I was with the professionalism of the staff with our arrival. Explaining how a host at a restaurant plays such a huge role for when someone enjoys good service from a waiter. Warm greetings and sincere exit acknowledgments, basic 101 lessons for any business. And that on this day, the greeting was cold and extremely unfriendly. Maybe you could argue I was upset at basic policy. But another person with a positive attitude would have left a completely different outcome of this visit. It was more than the policy. I then passed up on our important scheduled exam and will no longer be coming back to this location. I think that Sylvester is an amazing Doctor. But the downfall of the staff leading up to the doctors is a concern worth investigating, if you care about the success of this establishment. I've previously written a 5 star raving review. But on this visit, I was remarkably left unsettled and frustrated for the lack of decency among the receptionist and co-workers that clearly were not happy working within this company. I'm sure people within the company can recognize what I'm stating. I was going out of my way to meet up with Sylvester, my time will be better spent elsewhere moving forward. I've observed how Doctors can be too focused on their patients and fail to realize the staff taking advantage of their positions. The failure of the staff is just as much a responsibility, as the failure of the ones in a higher position choosing to not address needed issues within a lackluster company. Good Luck, it's never to late to make needed changes.

She has been working with our nearly 14-year-old large-breed dog for the last three years. From our first intake/consultation and acupuncture appointment, Dr Becca has guided us on an incredible learning journey around the best approaches to support our dog's health. She has consulted on his diet and supplements, which, in and of itself, has made a transformative difference in our dog's general health and arthritis. She performs regular acupuncture appointments (she keeps a very organized and well-communicated schedule) where she's constantly talking through Max's health and considering any adjustments that would benefit him, while always honoring our approach. Max knows when Dr. Becca is en route and excitedly awaits her arrival; we know he feels amazing as a result. The fact that he still can hike 2mi/day on the trails is testimony to how well she's helped to preserve his joint function. Most critically, she actually saved our dogs life this week. He was preliminary diagnosed with a brain tumor and while we were told to arrange end-of-life care, she advocated fiercely for the possibility that Max had an infection and gave us a clear discussion guide to use with his regular vet to receive the right care. In this capacity, Dr. Becca "stays in her lane" but is always a text away, as if your pet is her pet. I've never known a veterinary professional to be this deeply compassionate, nor to possess such an encyclopedic breadth of knowledge around veterinary science while knowing precisely when to apply it and how to educate her human clients in the process. Our sweet Max would not be here today if it were not for Dr. Becca. You can be absolutely certain that every penny you invest with ZenPet will have direct returns on your pet's vitality and longevity as well as your own education as a pet parent. Finally, it bears mentioning -- Dr. Becca is great with people too. She is an absolute joy to be around. I'm eternally grateful for and in awe of the work she does; it is truly her calling.

Getting an appointment was never easy and then front desk staff was typically quite rude. There were numerous communication breakdowns involving this rude desk staff. The most memorable of these was when a vet told me to come in for a follow up of some sort and put me on her schedule for a quick visit between patients. I checked in at the desk for this visit, they told me to sit down, and I waited there with my dog for what seemed like forever. When I was the only one left in the waiting room, a tech came to the desk and asked the receptionist who I was there to see. She said right in front of me, "I have no idea what she's doing here or who she is." I explained it to the tech and was eventually seen. My dog started having some issues with waking in the middle of the night with what seemed like pain or anxiety. Dr. Garms dismissed this as him being old and having canine dementia. Thank God I took him to another vet practice. The vet immediately suspected an adrenal tumor simply by palpating his abdomen. This was confirmed by an ultrasound. We were able to manage his symptoms for another year or so. Why am I leaving this review now? This greedy practice has for some reason started emailing me repeatedly with my dear deceased dog's name in the subject line. I haven't been to this place in 6 years. Recently Morgan's appetite diminished and he would not eat his favorite fruits, veggies and kibble. After he stopped eating all together, about 8 days ago, I tried feeding him chicken and rice. Initially, he loved it but stopped eating this. Last Saturday, 7/8/23, I called and left a message. Dr. Garms called and suggested a few things of which I tried, Morgan was still not eating much. I called on the following Monday, Dr. Garms was off and Sabrina suggested baby food and since they were booked on Tuesday, she asked that I drop Morgan off on Tuesday morning for observation and lab work. I picked him up Tuesday evening and was asked to bring him back Wednesday morning and plan on leaving him and going over his blood work results. Tuesday evening he still did not eat anything and sipped a little water. When I returned on Wednesday with Morgan, Dr. Garms entered and I knew immediately that the news was not going to be good. Morgan was in both renal and liver failure and his numbers were so far off the scale, there was not much that they could do other than palliative treatment. I looked at his listless body and made that dreaded decision to euthanize him. Since friends had shared their recommendations for in-home euthanizing I contacted 2 of these vets and neither had anything available that day or the next. I did not want Morgan to pass away on a metal table or in a strange environment, Dr. Garms offered to come to my home that evening around 7. The process, of course, was difficult for the both of us (we were both crying when he slipped away) she was incredible, comforting me. She took his body back to her practice and indicated that she will take care of everything including arranging for his ashes to be returned to me. Dr. Garms is not only a very capable clinician, she is the most compassionate vet I have known.
