Despite my variety of choices, I bypass all of these stores to go to Clark (also known as Amy's Mini Mart). From the outside, Clark appears to be a tiny inconspicuous gas station that would make for a convenient stop for a Snickers bar. In the inside, Clark provides more than instant gratification for a sudden sweet tooth. My basis for declaring my loyalty to this establishment come from three appeals. 1) Price: Though Clark is not the cheapest gas station available to me but it is the cheapest in my immediate area. The food and drinks within the store cost about as much as they would at any other convenience store. Though s few of the items exclusive to Clark are much cheaper than their name brand counterparts so i like to take advantage of that possibility when i can. 2) Friendliness: After being a regular patron of this gas station since the spring of 2010, the faces of those that work there have become all too familiar. Some of them I even know by name. I can easily strike up a conversation with any of the employees, even the ones i don't know as well as others. No matter who's working I always feel comfortable and welcome as I walk through the doors. 3) Quality: I'm well aware that Clark is a gas station, not Olive Garden. I don't expect nor claim that their merchandise is high end or superb. I will claim, however, that I thoroughly trust that whatever I happen to buy there will be fresh and satisfying. There is no surprise that going to Clark on a daily basis over the span of six or so months has proved it to be my favorite gas station. But without the aforementioned reasons, I wouldn't be so adamant about upholding my daily ritual. As long as Clark stands at the corner of Douglas and Brittany Drive, you can expect me to see me there once (possibly twice) a day.

Overall, this is a great gas station to stop in if you need a snack or a car wash. The manager came out, realized the pump was broken and had me move to a new pump. He offered me 2 free car washes for the trouble. When I went to use them (within a week) the codes wouldn't work. The clerk working said is have to talk to the manger, who conveniently wouldn't be back on for a few days. Today I was there again - at the same pump I had trouble with months ago. I KNOW I pushed "regular" because I'm always very cautious about this. Halfway through I realized it was "premium". I went in to tell them and the clerk rudely said "nothing I can do". They also wouldn't honor my gas discount card. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I will literally drive out of my way to avoid these scammers.

From what I've seen is that Walgreens has been going down hill in the last few years when in comes to cleanliness. Their stores seem dated and not clean. The pharmacy is usually short staffed with long lines. Today was different. This location seemed very clean and the shelves were well stocked. I was picking up a prescription. I was greeted immediately by the pharmacist. I told him my name and information. This is a worker's compensation claim so he had to call the insurance company to get authorization for the medication. He stepped aside to call and a tech jumped in to take over for him. He was able to obtain the authorization quickly and filled my prescription. They had lots of techs and pharmacist working today. Not a long wait for anyone that approached the counter. Hats off to this location. You've changed my mind about Walgreens.

Just today I came to get a car wash, and I also placed a pizza order. I marked my parking spot/arrival location as being in the car wash line, which I knew was a bit of a challenge. They didn't quite make it in time, so I called to let them know I had pulled into the wash. I said "I know I gave you a challenge there (while laughing)" and they laughed with me and just told me to pull up next to the front door when I was done. They watched for me out the window and brought the pizza out promptly when I pulled up. The pizza was handed off with a joking "we'll have to charge you more for this one" comment. The selection of snacks is varied from gummy treats, chocolates, baked goods, savory snacks, ice cream, fruits, quick to go sandwiches, or healthy snack, and a wide selection of beverages. The hot food is usually good but can be hit or miss. Sometimes the hot food is fully stocked, and what you are looking for is there. Other times you can tell it's been sitting there and the wedges or chicken are soggy which is a big disappointment. The prices are always fair in my opinion. You can also call ahead to order what you want and make sure they have what you want. The ambiance of the place is pretty on point for a gas station, busy at times, and very quiet at others. Overall it is a friendly environment and the coffee machine, baked goods, and shake machine are huge perks.
