The campground itself is super privately positioned to offer the most exceptional sunset and sunrise views of your life over the Ochlocknee Bay. If that's not enough, the park itself is clean, quiet, well maintained and supported by phenomenal staff which is definitely the icing. The facilities and laundry services are all clean and updated. There is a pool on site, which is always a nice thing to have in Florida. The park itself is never so overrun that you feel like you're constantly on top of somebody else or having somebody else in your space. Our entire time that we stayed here was actually right after Hurricane Helene hit the area, we had only just purchased our house when it was totally ruined by the hurricane & luckily we still had our rig. This spot allowed us to be nearby while we were trying to even just simply be able to get back in our house to assess damage but beyond that the folks here really did everything that they could to support and lift us up and in an exceptionally hard time. I say all of this as a someone who lived full-time on the road in our class A rig prior to buying here locally so I totally understand the usual complaints/hoped for items when you're looking for somewhere to stay. While placed in rule setting, there are beach access points within 10 miles either direction from the campground but genuinely you just can't beat the dock here as far as fishing, hanging and catching the sunrise and sunset. However just really want to highlight how amazing the folks here are as we understood that our who was catastrophically ruined and unlivable, they really went above and beyond to help us out in every way that they could to provide us a place to stay and any support that we may have needed. Just really great people running a really great local, quiet hidden gem. read more

It's located right on the bay, beautiful views. Clean showers and bathrooms, staff very friendly and helpful. Sites are a little close together but are long enough to accommodate big rigs. Piers to walk out on, sandy beach area, a really nice campground. read more

We really liked this place! Had a spot right on the water and enjoyed the view and sunset. From the moment we arrived the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Being new at this, I had a few questions. As soon as they knew this, two of the staff jumped right on the golf cart and said they'd meet me at the site! They were helpful, for sure! So appreciative. Very quiet campground with full hook up. Family and I spent a 3 day weekend here back in January. We were in a tight camping spot and couldn't let the awning out because of our neighbor's slide out. Wasn't a big problem since it was January. Located close to Angelo & Son's restaurant. My kids thought it was neat that we could walk the beach under the bridge to get to the restaurant. read more

This beach is raggedy . It's like a wish.com beach . I cut my toes and feet multiple times and the sand smelled like old hot dog water .

The office staff is super nice. The water sites are tight but worth it. Bath house was clean. Other campers were very nice. We were only overnight. Wish we had time to stay another couple nights. Will come back! read more

We pulled into this place just before sunset and oh man, what a view! We scored site 9, which is basically a double site since they don't really rent out 8 due to the size and location next to a large tree. The waterfront sites provide an excellent view of the bay. The staff was kind and accommodating. The laundry facility served its purpose. This place isn't high-end or fancy, but it's a great spot for the family and some fishing or just relaxing. read more

Love this little gem of a campground (I've left a full review on RVParky under "VirginiaMack")- sites on the water are snug, but they have a big "back yard" with a picnic table, fire pit, and cute little beach with real sand. The sunsets are amazing, and the people are wonderful. We were in spot #23 with a 35' Class A and toad. Excellent spot. Full sized rigs are no problem. Nice clean pool, laundry and bath house. The lovely tall pine trees provide shade. Lots of wildlife in the area (a bald eagle was sitting on the pier one morning, and we saw the biggest bobcat we've ever seen down the street near the airstrip!) We will definitely be back! read more

My family and I stayed here when they visited me for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time. The campground is right on the bay, and my younger brother in particular was enthralled with some of the local wildlife - for example, some fishermen caught (and released) a six-foot bull shark and a sea turtle one night. You can kayak right out in the bay, where it is shallow almost the whole way out. Panacea makes a good home base for exploring the coastal area. It's within easy distance of several beaches (including St. George), and kayaking and swimming on the Wakulla. It's close enough to Tally that I was able to run home every evening to feed that cat. :) They have a little shop on-site that does a really good job covering the necessities that you might need for fishing, beachgoing, campfire cooking, etc. The only drawbacks are that there's not a ton of shade, that the charges are per person rather than based on camper space (and there was a holiday surcharge on the final bill not mentioned anywhere previously), and that the bathrooms were really not clean by mid-day Saturday. All in all, we would definitely come back, especially on a non-holiday weekend. read more

First off, don't pay for all the days you plan to stay at once: they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS! The noise from the highway was somewhat bothersome, but otherwise decently quiet. The bathrooms are very moldy and damp. The pool is gross. The wifi is too slow to use. read more

It's 5 stars for us but many won't find it fancy enough:). Chill spot and we have always lucked out with a water view of Ochlocknee (sp?) Bay Full utilities and a little pricier than some but it's right on the water ! That zen /view alone is worth it. Stop next door at Angelos for their buffalo backs. You won't be sorry! read more

This is mostly a permanent home RV park and it is NIT suitable for tent camping unless you are in a real pinch. And they won't allow tents near the water. Dogs parking when owners leave at 5:30 am and garbage trucks at 4:00 am. No thank you read more

Great place. Wonderful staff. The lakeside spots are tight but well worth the money. Management is new, but is in the same family that has run the park for over 50 years. Welcoming and kind. Restaurants are within walking distance and the view is gorgeous. We will be going back later this year! read more

We stayed at this park for several months last summer. Though the park is a little dated, the sunrises and sunsets are worth every penny! The bathrooms were always clean and in good working order. This park is in a great location, and offers a fishing dock, pool, playground, and a restaurant right across the street! We will be staying here again this summer, and we are looking forward to it! read more

My friend and I stayed in October 2014 with two dogs in a tent. The staff and other guests were friendly and we met a few cool people and dogs that frequently stay there on weekends. The bathrooms need minor repairs and the sites were very small/lacked privacy. read more

Awesome place, moved here a couple of months ago, beautiful sunsets, nice pier you can fish on 24/7 and actually catch fish, (hugh fish),with a sink and hose for cleaning fish then head back and cook 'em up. Beautiful bath houses with plenty of hot water, laundry room, everything always clean, nice pool and great places for gatherings under the pavillion or in the club house if cold. All the full timers very nice too. Can't beat it for Gods given beauty on earth. No crowds, only nature and alot of wild life. Visit the Panacea Welcome Center a couple of miles down the road and no matter how long you stay you will never run out of things to do. Safest place I have ever been. stayed for 3 nights 3/31/16 to4/3/16. site, sites were crowded but we had a nice water view site and the campground was well maintained. problem started about 6pm the last night when a giant tractor trailer parked next to us and left the diesel running. I spoke to the driver and his buddy and they said the girl in the office said they could park there for the night and they were going to run the truck all night for the air conditioner. we called the owners cell phone no.( the office was closed for the day) and she said they could park wherever they want if they didn't disturb the campers. needless to say they ran the truck all night preventing any sleep and left at 7:15 the next morning. when we left that morning and called the owner she said she tried all night to call the truckers but they did not answer. The owner indicated she would give a day refund. After waiting a week called her again and she needed the credit card number again, waited a few more days, still no credit, called again. waited a few more days and finally the credit was applied but we paid $39 a night and she credit $10.00. I called her again and her reasoning for the tiny refund was I HAD TO MAKE A PROFIT. Sad she felt this way, I guess she needs the money more. read more
