United Airlines decided I needed to stay and extra day in Germany, so we stayed here. The hallways will remind you of a prison, but that's the only negative aspect. Our initial room that we were booked in was over an area with lots of construction and it was very loud in our room. I went downstairs and they promptly moved us to another room. There is a free shuttle service that takes you around from train station (easy to get to downtown Berlin) and to airport. The breakfast was good and complimentary. Nice hotel close to the airport. It has a shuttle bus service that is free between the hotel and the airport. Clean rooms with comfy beds The bar was nice and we had a light dinner at the bar rather than the more formal restaurant. Ice machines on each floor, although ours was out of order so we used the ice machine on the floor above. Breakfast was nice, although I would have liked to have seen more vegetarian options. read more

Stayed here for one night after coming into Berlin on late flight. Very nice and comfortable room with all expected amenities. Good helpful staff and nice facilities for eating and drinking. Would not be my choice for a longer stay because of its location. Excellent for late flights in, or early flights out from Schonefeld Flughafen. One of the best Holiday Inns I've stayed in. The service was really good, the room was nice and clean, and the food in the restaurant was excellent! The breakfast buffet was also really nice with a large selection of cereals, fruit, warm options and different types of bread rolls (guess Germans like their bread). This was a terrible experience. The hotel staff is very disorganized even though they are trained to act very polite. The room AC was broken and it was about 100 degrees inside. Window was broken as well and so we could not open it. Do not stay in this hotel unless it is winter or if you don't care about sweating your brains out. Actually, during the winter their heater will probably be broken as well. Restaurant is horrible. When I mentioned the broken AC to front desk in the morning , her reply was "did you tell anyone?" Very bad hotel, do not recommend to anyone read more

The location is great, it's just a couple minutes from the airport by shuttle or car. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. Our room as very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The bar was a fun place to hang out with a great crowd, games and drinks. However that is kind of where the fun ended. The room, despite being the "family" size room, was barely big enough to accommodate the Queen bed. The best part was they had a fold out loveseat which basically touches the bed. So if you are trying to accommodate 2-4 in 2 beds good luck. Very awkward space in an unnecessarily small room. The worst part was that upon discovering this, they told us that ours was the largest room they have. The beds were rock hard, which is to be expected from a pull out, but the Queen bed felt like they laid a bed of bricks and placed a comforter on top to try to disguise it. This doesn't compare to any Holiday Inns we have been to in the past. If you are used to the Holiday Inn in the US, expect the same. The only saving grace is the location and the great staff. read more
