I stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. While booking, we were told the total would be $229 for one room, two nights. On the morning of our check out, we found an invoice slipped under the door of our room showing it was actually $229 for each night (a total of more than $500 after taxes & fees)- I would have said this was a communication error, however I explicitly clarified with the front desk upon checking in what the total would be- "that is one room, two nights?" "That is correct." When I went back down to discuss this with the front desk upon checking out, I asked if this was normal for them to slip the invoice under the door on the last day, instead of showing us at check-in. I was told that my complaints would need to be addressed to the 1-800 number. read more

A true disappointment. I just got back from a 12 night trip to Idaho and Utah for my birthday this month (September). The pictures of this hotel on IHG and Google made it look like a very appealing and nice place to stay. I decided out of all the hotels in the whole country to use my free anniversary night with my IHG credit card here. I'm accustomed to going to Holiday Inn Express hotels where breakfast included. I knew upfront that being a holiday inn instead - breakfast was not included in the rate. I did see that for $10 extra breakfast would be included with your stay for two people. I was unable to do the add it online because I used my free night stay. I thought I still could do that upon check in. I thought maybe like with birthdays and special offers the hotel was possibly including breakfast (my birthday was the day I checked out September, 12). We stopped at the desk for check-in on a Saturday, 9/11. It was very busy outside with a motorcycle convention going on. I was a bit confused, tired, and lost from navigating the busy parking lot. There were 3 people at the desk and no other customers were there. We explained how we were excited to stay there. We said we loved the hotel but that we wanted and preferred breakfast with our stay. I asked if it was included, and the staff attacked that inquiry and scoffed at me thinking that would be even an option. I then went on to say, alright let me pay the $10 add-on that guests are offered online with booking. They blew up saying the computer wouldn't allow this and that by using my free night I was suppose to be treated like an outsider. Breakfast for two was $25 plus tax just like everyone off the street pays. Instead of being sympathetic they either walked away or were defensive. In the end I was left with a guy who started to act sympathetic, but quickly changed his course - told me that my status wasn't "elite enough" and that if I wasn't happy there I should just go find accomodations somewhere else. They were literally arguing over $15. I never received my welcome points for my stay either and even inquired about that at check out and was reassured by another guest attendant that she would definitely issue them to me. I sent a report to the hotel, never got an apology and the poor customer service skills were very apparent. All in all, we had leftovers from dinner for breakfast and the next morning when I checked out around 9:30 am no one was in the breakfast area/restaurant even though breakfast went until that time. They did serve complimentary coffee in the lobby which is the only bonus I can provide. Apparently, most people don't get breakfast or are definitely not encouraged to add it to their stay. The room itself was good and the lobby was nice, but I wouldn't stay there again due to the lack of professionalism. read more

While this location is convenient..next to restaurants and shopping, when we booked our room for what we thought was under $200 for two nights..." turns out we got charged over $360 for two nights!! Some how it was a booking error according to the front desk. That was frustrating and upsetting but to add to the stress we returned to our room to discover it was dirty after having requesting room service since the bathroom had hair in the shower drain that wasn't ours and the towels had hair on one of them as well NASTY!! We figured we could survive the day without an actual shower. We headed out thinking we'd just shower upon returning latter that night. Went about our day as planned and returned to our room fairly late to find it had NOT been cleaned. Called front desk the person working was good enough to move us to a clean room on a different floor. Thankfully there was no hair in the shower drain of the second room or on the towels. We were able to shower and crawl in to bed. I've stayed here at this location before with no issues, would I stay again?... only if I had no other choice. Paying over $150 a night is way to much for room with no extras... From now on though I'll be taking my business to Fairfield or Hampton they are less expensive and offer a much more luxurious experience in my opinion. read more

Good hotel! Glad we went with this one while visiting in Nampa. Close to stores and restaurants. Restaurant downstairs so you're able to get breakfast early. Pool and jacuzzi was a plus with kids . read more

It looks like a super nice hotel from the outside with even a restraunt so you don't have to leave but trust me you will want to leave. The staff are so rude and don't care about anybody so I can imagine how much they care to clean the sheets as well. read more

Bartender was absolutely rude and 100% unprofessional. Closed down at 10:42pm as she sat at the end of the bar eating and refusing to serve customers as they walked in. I believe posted closing hour is 11pm, meaning bar stays open even if its to serve water to patrons of the hotel as they enter. This is a person who represents your company and brand... Might want to find a better representative. Aside from this interaction, Front Desk staff were pleasant, helpful and rooms were clean. read more

Absolutely the worst hotel food ever. Food was awful! 2. Worst hotel restaurant experience... took more than 30 min after seating just to give our order for the four of us. Once we did that, it took another hour and 10 to get our food just to find out the order was wrong... then the bill was wrong too! 3. Though front desk staff was nice, they aren't very knowledgeable about hotel policies and we were told conflicting information twice. read more

I visit Nampa every few months to visit family. Since this hotel has been built, I've always stayed here even though it is more expensive than others around here. The location is perfect, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Beds have always been comfortable, rooms spotless, and friendly employees. I was horribly disappointed in my stay over this weekend. Saturday evening I had an early dinner with my family, with plans to return to my room and go to bed early since I had to be on the road at 5am to head home Sunday morning. I came back from dinner to find a full on party in the conference room complete with a mariachi band. My room was right above it. I tossed and turned for over an hour, attempted to drown out the noise with the TV, even used ear plugs to attempt to sleep. No such luck. I attempted to call the desk, no answer. I walked down there and simply asked to move to another room so I could just get some rest. The man told me there was nothing they could do for me. This is a hotel, not a nightclub. People stay here while traveling. Now I'm headed home on a 6 hour drive having only slept 6 hours. I'm sure whoever threw that party paid a lot of money to do so, but I've paid a lot of money to stay here over the years too. I'll be going back to the Fairfield for my future travels. read more

Pros: New hotel. Everything is neat and clean. Bed is comfortable. Cons: Not unless you can sleep through a hurricane you're going to be up all night by the horns from the trains that go by. If you're planning on staying here I suggest you bring a very loud white noise machine so it can drown out the noise from the trains. read more

Wonderful decor! The owner really put extra effort into making this holiday in a trendy spot. Small pool but the kids had a blast and the size didn't bother them. This hotel is conveniently located right off the freeway in Nampa and it is surrounded by stores and restaurants. So, if you forgot to pack your slippers etc, no worries you can practically walk to Target. The hotel is clean, comfortable, the beds and their pillows are amazing..!! Mariah and Kelly are attentive, professional and sweet. The food and the wine selection is also excellent and I enjoyed sitting outside by the fire. read more

Nicer holiday inn I've stayed at in a while. Clean and comfortable. Exceptionally friendly staff. Decent rates. Basic but spacious and complete fitness center. Necessary complaints: Lighting everywhere needs to be adjusted-feels like a hospital! Add optional dimmers in bathrooms and make the atmosphere in front lobby more inviting, less spotlight. Paper thin walls. Can hear word for word conversations next door and surround sound snoring through both walls. Very annoying. read more

We were heading to another hotel when drove past this brand new Holiday Inn. We turned around and checked it out. WOW! The clerk said they had their grand opening yesterday and was on the front page of the local paper. It's by far the nicest Holiday Inn we've ever seen. Nice restaurant, excellent facilities and beautiful rooms. A new level of quality for hotels by freeways. read more

Wow, big room nicely arranged. Friendly staff and good restaurant located in the lobby area. It was close to our destination but a little difficult to get to if your pulling a trailer. It was modern and had a motorized shade system in the room that really blocked the light. We used the laundry facilities in the hotel and they were great. read more

With a family wedding this weekend, this place was reserved for those from out of town. Very comfortable room and bed with a modern touch.

We drove in from California. And I have to say this hotel was very clean. Has a nice restaurant in it. Beds were very comfortable. It was in a newer looking good location. I only have it at 4 stars, because 1 the bathtub shower was really slippery because there was no grip. Would be nice to have a grip for the bottom. Especially if you are elderly. 2nd we called the front desk and asked to extend for one more night. It was all ago until we said we didn't want the breakfast and asked for the veterans discount. Then the lady said they couldn't because the hotel was all of a sudden booked. but other than that, overall experience was great. read more

Great hotel! Driving from California to Washington and needed a place for the night. I preferred this hotel chain because we've never had any problems with it and wanted a free breakfast. Check in was easy and Nicole at the front desk was so kind and helpful. Although no free breakfast, she did comp one for us the next day when she found out we were driving through. Everyone was so nice and helpful! We ate at the resturant and food was really good! I got the fish sandwich which was a huge piece of fresh battered cod that I couldn't even finish. As for the room, huge king bed with a rocking chair, ottoman, fridge and microwave. They even use Bath and Body products for their shampoo and lotion! The only thing is that the pillows are feather pillows and I have herniated discs in my neck which it did not support. However, I never did ask for firmer pillows because we were tired from driving yesterday. Overall, would definitely stay here again if in the area. read more

Had called the Holiday Inn express first, but the front desk guy was pretty snotty, so we came here. This location is amazing! there's a plaza with a target and tons of eateries around. Every employee we came into contact with were engaging, except the douche at Burger theory. After getting completely ignored the night before(see review) my husband wanted to grab a quick breakfast the next morning. The holiday inn manager who I spoke to the night before saw me and came over to tell me she was gonna comp my dish. that was really nice of them! the same server that ignored me the night before was there and he told me that "...I got your breakfast for you." with a knock on the table as he walked away. sorry dude, you're a douche and passive aggressive, besides the lady already told us she had comped the dish. why are ya trying to take her credit? Ya that rubbed me and my husband the wrong way. Other than that 1 employee this place is awesome, clean, and totally comfy! they have laundry, pool, nice shower heads! just don't eat there, because there are tons of better options around. I stayed here for one night and they charged me a $25 incidental fee at check inn. That was no big deal. They told me it would be back in my account the following day. Three days go by and the money is still not back in my account but I didn't leave any damage to the room. I call and ask them about it and they tell me to wait one more day and see but if it's not back then call again. The following day, the money still wasn't back. I call and explain the situation and after explaining, I'm told to repeat myself one more time because he wasn't listening whatsoever. After explaining myself again, I'm put on hold for about 16 minutes. I hang up and call back and had to explain once again and then was transferred to people who also didn't know what they were doing. I had to repeat every single thing I said multiple times and after the extremely long process with them, they told me they couldn't do anything about it and to call the hotel and tell them. Annoyed by that, I had my boyfriend call and they transferred him again to the same people after him telling them that they couldn't do anything. We ended up having to drive back to the hotel just for them to be rude about asking for a manager and then just telling me they just needed to call my bank and tell them the fee can be taken off hold. After about ten minutes of her pretending to call someone (we saw her phone and nobody was being called) she told me to call them myself. Basically, don't stay here unless you want to deal with the worst customer service even though they are a customer based company. You'll regret it. read more
