We decided to go here for a quick getaway (kids, we love you!) because it was reasonably priced. We…read moreknew we'd have to contend with the usual Saturday night delays crossing the border into Canada. The delay ended up not being too bad. The hotel has a parking structure that costs $15 for in-and-out privileges. We accidentally parked in a restricted spot and got a ticket. Expert tip: don't do that!! The room had a beautiful view: they know at the front desk that this is why you're here, so they will give you room options depending on the quality of the view. Make sure to ask in case they don't. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room - while a bit on the small side - was roomy enough. This would all have been worth the price ($120), but the room also comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet. This is a phenomenally well stocked buffet, with sausages, eggs, potatoes, cereal, and a waffle makers (4 of them!!). Definitely worth a return trip.

Good location, I wouldn't say there is a TON to do or see in Windsor (sorry?)…read moreThe room the night before in London was significantly better and better overall 'bang for buck', good $40 cheaper... Priceline and door says 12 pm checkout Front desk says 11 TV is terrible, old basic cable service with picture tube on its last leg (very dark). Although, Just from a technical standpoint, most TVs don't even have a tube anymore. But you get what I mean Parking lot across the street is expensive, rip off ($25 one night; in Windsor!???? Chicago, Philly I understand, but Windsor...!? Funny, I asked somebody who lived here what's the best thing to do in Windsor. He told me, go to Detroit!

I'd say the room was a bit on the smaller side compared to other hotels I've stayed at, but it's good enough for one night in my opinion. For longer stays, I'd maybe stay elsewhere if size matters. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff at the check in who will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. The washroom is quite small compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently. Slow elevators. Ideal location in Downtown Windsor. Also, BEWARE OF NOISE! Soundproofing at this hotel does not seem to be a thing! The weekend I was staying here, it was very rowdy outside at around 2-3am. There is a nightclub nearby this hotel which means people will be out and about being drunk, resulting in louder and crazier behaviour from yelling and screaming to cars loudly and aggressively driving by. This resulted in my inability to sleep, but this is not the hotel's fault in any way. The hotel does provide free earplugs for you as a way to deal with the noise. Would I stay here again? Well... yes, I would, but if I had another option, I would stay elsewhere the next time I'm in the Windsor area. So it's really up to you whether or not to stay here.

The rooms themselves are new and refreshed and have the amenities you would expect from any recent Marriott-branded property. Comfortable mattress, a walk-in shower and, most importantly, a large TV with built-in Netflix. This is the best thing to happen to Windsor hotels since the old Hilton closed up shop.

On weekends, the management should arrange for more staff, how much can one lady run around making the rooms, other people were coming in and waiting. She kept telling them there is a casino near by, if you want to go around and come back after half hour or so. The lady at the front desk her name was Leslie, so humble and polite though she had done a night shift and was filling in morning shift for her co-worker. (quite impressive). She was very helpful and really cared about the customers. The lake/river is walking distance from this place and the view from the lake is also very beautiful, specially the sunset and full moon. There are boat cruises too, its amazing to stand and see yourself standing on the Canada side and seeing America (Detroit) right in front of you.

We had some highs and lows here. Unfortunately, we arrived pretty late in the evening, which didn't…read moremake things any easier. The good news was that due to being gold rewards members we got a room upgrade. The bad news is they gave us a room without central air. Instead, our room had an enormous free-standing unit that not only had to attach to a window, but that also had to drip water into a trash can. This unit could only be hooked up to the window in the living room, meaning it was in a separate space from our bed! So we spent a very hot night with no blankets at a Marriot - not ok. To make things worse, the hotel was down to only one person working the front desk and she couldn't find the pack and play. We asked for one around 10p and by 11p we realized it simply wasn't going to happen. So we made up the sofa bed for our toddler. He's not used to sleeping in the same room as us, so we had to close the door between our bedroom and the living room until he fell asleep. Again, no cool air for us. The next morning we went out to explore and came back to our room for my sons nap. They'd brought a pack and play! Someone even attempted to put it together for us (they weren't successful). But we quickly realized that the trash can catching the dripping water from the AC unit had overflowed onto the carpet! Yes! Our room had been visited by house cleaning, but no one took care of this thing!! So after Jude had his nap, we requested to be moved to a new room. They put us in another suite down the hall. With central air!!!! Why weren't we put in one of these to begin with?!? I'm flabbergasted! Really Marriot? I have certain expectations of you! From there, things were so much better! But I don't know why we were put through that stuff to begin with. My advice - before going to your room, confirm that yours HAS CENTRAL AIR! Also, order your pack and play WAY ahead of time. And don't bother making them set it up Because you'll just have to fix it. Two other notes. 1. Getting to the parking lot is absolutely bizarre and confusing thanks to all the one way streets. I wish I could explain how to do it....you basically have to leave, make a block in the direction you least expect and then you'll find an open lot with an entrance where you swipe the card they give you. Good luck. 2. Breakfast is always crowded anywhere you go. The way this one is set up makes things even more annoying because it's so cramped. Be prepared.

The staff is very professional and courteous. Pointed me to a good restaurant that was nearby. Very well trained. They even remembered to great me and acknowledge my status blah blah. If they don't I get $$ based on hotel. THEY nailed it. Kudos to them. Have to get those points. The room was spacious had one of the 1 room Suites. Bed was very comfortable and should of been as it was new. Being as this place is in Canada the lights switch set up took a bit getting used to. They are motion activated. In kitchen and bath Room. It will wake you up in middle of night when lights come on by them selves. And then of course a bit slow to turn off. If you are a Marriott rewards person defiantly this is great stay. The breakfast was alright nothing fancy but defiantly acceptable.
