We wound up kind of "stuck" here for 3 night waiting on a delayed cruise ship.
As far as the hotel goes, it was exactly what you would expect. Rooms are small by American standards, but nice. Everything was clean and in working order. A few in our party struggled with their air conditioning. I found the room was cooler during the day than at night, but still generally fine.
We were stuck without transportation, and taxis were available but sometime slow to come. It was nice that the hotel was right across from a McDonalds (when we got tired of the hotel breakfast), a Costa Coffee, a gas station with a food mart, and a Table Table restaurant.
If you stay here, consider walking (or driving or taxing a taxi) down the road into Minster. There is not much there, but The Bell Inn is a great English pub worth visiting.
This hotel is pretty close to Kent, Margate, and Ramsgate. The cruise port in Dover is about 40 minutes away. I would stay here again if I had reason to -- it would be fine if you have a car for transportation. read more
