First time here. Nice place to rest before our flight. Location is near airport and 24 he shuttle available. Receptionist was nice and welcoming. Things that could improve; we got there 11pm, coffee was cold. Second thing, elevator stop working. We pressed Lobby but the elevator door didn't move. We got off, allowed the door to close in hopes of getting into the other elevator, but same door opened and we refused to get into the same elevator that appeared to be malfunctioned. So we had to go 5 flights of stains with our 3 luggages. Very inconvenient.

5 stars all the way!

Hotel manager is very rude. Customer service is not helpful either. so I would not recommend to stay here.

Clean, quiet and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. The oddly designed shower wasn't amazing. It seemed backwards!

“2.) Clean lobby 3.) The hall on the way toward the elevator smells great, crispy clean as if the air cleans itself.”

We had a great experience at the Marriott Newark! Very simple but great business oriented hotel!…read moreReally nice restaurant downstairs with an AMAZING omelette!! We got the Corner 2 Double Bed room which was very nice and clean but unfortunately did not have a corner window/Layout! We where in the center of the hallway! But it's alright! Bathroom was also very nice, bright lit mirror, nice water pressure as well. The only thing is that there was no Tempered glass shower, that's becoming the standard in modern hotels. A great thing though was the airport shuttle. It was super quick and efficient! I highly recommend for a great stay at Newark airport!

I did have a refrigerator in my room, but a friend had to request one. While I was here, I reported standing water in the tub while in use twice. While the engineers were called, I gave up after the 3 time with standing water (so much eww). I also had the space above the tub start leaking - they fixed it the very next day, and removed $50 that night for my trouble (I declined to move, as I was there for a week, and had a lot of stuff.) No adjustments were made for the standing water. There were a few very lovely people staffing the hotel, including the shuttle drivers (5 stars there!) but also a few that were less lovely. When we went down to breakfast the first time (no free breakfast here), although the sign said to "please seat yourself," when our group attempted to do so, we were stopped, sent back to the front, only to be sat 7 minutes later at the exact table we tried to sit at. It was an experience for sure, but one I'm not eager to repeat.

This hotel is not planned out like other Embassy Suites with the large open central area and rooms…read morearound it. It is conveniently placed near the airport and the mall. Unfortunately, if the flight gets in late, there are not many food options in the surrounding area (none that are open late). We stay here often because it is a good location for all the places we have to go to in New York and New Jersey. The airport shuttle makes catching a train into NYC really easy. The only issues I had with it was that the parking lot was always full and spaces so difficult to find that people were leaving their cars anywhere they could find a spot behind the arm. It does not make the daily cost of parking worth it if there is always that fear of there not being any spaces available. The other issue is that every single plane from EWR can be heard in the room. We've been in hotels in flight paths where you wouldn't know there was a aeroplane overhead unless you happen to look out the window and see one taking off or landing.

On our way to New York, we were looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights and ended up…read morechoosing Embassy Suites near Newark Airport. Having stayed at Embassy Suites several times before, the overall experience--rooms, breakfast, and amenities--was as expected: solid and reliable. What really stood out during this stay, however, was the service. Alejandro and Grant were both excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. Alejandro in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, which made a real difference. The hotel itself is still in good shape, with well-maintained interiors and comfortable room furnishings. The location is also a big advantage. While it's close to the airport, there's also a large outlet mall nearby, along with an arcade, bowling alley, and several dining options--great for both adults and kids. One of the biggest benefits compared to staying in Manhattan is avoiding the hassle of traffic and expensive parking. From the hotel, it's about a 20-25 minute drive to the Holland Tunnel, making access to the city surprisingly easy. A nice bonus was the evening reception--snacks and drinks served by a very kind and attentive bartender and staff, which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside during our stay was that the pool was closed, which was a bit disappointing as it would have helped burn off some of the kids' energy. That said, it's a minor drawback compared to everything else the hotel offers. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay with excellent service. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Hampton Inn Newark Airport - Guest room

Stayed at this Hampton Inn expecting the usual Hilton standard, but this was one of the worst…read moreexperiences I've had in over 600 stays. I was denied extra pillows despite explaining it was due to a medical need (something I've never been denied at any Hilton property before). The room's AC unit was extremely loud, constantly turning on and off throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. When I called the front desk, I was told they were at capacity and there was no one available to address it. The most concerning issue was the airport shuttle. It was overbooked by the hotel, and I was actually asked to let another guest sit in my lap during transport. That's not just uncomfortable--it's unsafe and completely unacceptable. When I contacted the hotel manager afterward to request a refund under Hampton's satisfaction guarantee, I was dismissed, told to "get over it," and the call was ended. I've stayed at Hampton Inns for years and have always had good experiences, which made this especially disappointing. Issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of resolution and professionalism here was the bigger problem.

Pros: The hotel itself is pretty good. My first time using digital key and I loved it. The hotel…read moreroom was clean and had a good floor plan. I loved that I could slide a barn door to close in the bedroom if needed. My room was close to elevator and the clean supply room so I was a little worried about outside noise. Although I only stayed over on a Monday night even without ever closing the bedroom door it was very quiet. I had a small issue with somehow dropping my phone down into the ice machine (horror) but maintenance was very responsive and quickly got it back for me. Housekeeping was very friendly. Front desk was ok, although I feel like they could have anticipated or understood my question better when I asked about hotel shuttle. They have a sign stating where the shuttle picks up. I asked about it but they just said that it was coreect, so then I made an an attempt to find the location on the sign. When I got back to the elevator and realized it didnt go down or anywhere that might be a level cars would park or etc. I went back and asked where to find the location. They said it was where the shuttle picked up at the airport. Then is said where does it pick up here. They asked when did I need it. I said now. They said ok they would add me to a list. So #1. Why would someone checking out of the hotel need to know where the airport shuttle picks up passengers at the airport. And even if that is useful information, shouldn't it also inform where or what is needed in order to get picked up at hotel. Specifically this would seem important if the check in line was long. #2 He never answered my question about where the shuttle picks up at hotel. Once i realized the shuttle sign was useless, I assumed it picked up outside the doors and it did but this entire exchange made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. Cons: breakfast had no flavor. I'm not expecting a lot from a free breakfast but usually the flavorless eggs have cheese or something you can add to the top to give it a little something. The vanilla pancake topped with whip cream and strawberries was ok but again very little flavor. Plus not something I could eat had I been on a hurry or had an early flight out. Other Hampton breakfasts do a little better job. Maybe Monday's are just not busy enough to warrant more.

What's more, the food outdoes both the IHOP and the (awful) Ruby Tuesday nearby, as well as many of the delivery services locally available. I had the chance to try much of their menu and was impressed with most all of it. From breakfast burritos, bagels and eggs to burgers, wings, bar snacks, sandwiches and salads, you really don't need to leave the hotel for food very often. Rooms are clean, as housekeeping staff is very personable and attentive throughout every day. The Bistro, front desk and bar staff are PHENOMENAL. You cannot fake genuine care, concern and an earnest interest in making your stay as good as it can be. I enjoyed chatting with each of the men and women working behind the plexi barriers. Giving them the ability to serve you while keep themselves and coworkers safe should be recognized and appreciated. There are enhanced cleaning features throughout, for the health and comfort of each guest and staff member. Manny, behind the bar and bistro, is second to none. He is personable, kind and a great conversationalist. His cheerful attitude and brilliant smile seem infectious as the mood after a long day lightens with him there. Seek him out during your stay, he delivers perfect service, interesting conversation and a good laugh anytime. Everyone was welcoming and made my stay a wonderful experience! Overall a perfect stay.
