I absolutely love each and every session with Austin. I highly recommend his work. I feel better each time, and I can't help but keep coming back! Combining elements you'd be familiar with, along with techniques from different disciplines, Austin's massages leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. As someone who works out 5-6 days a week, these workouts always put me back on my feet and leave me feeling healthy and recovered! Thanks Austin! read more

This is the best massage I have ever had. It was a combination of stretching and deep tissue work that resulted in a complete sense of relaxation. The massage room has a nice ambiance. I highly recommend. read more

I've had many sessions from Austin over the years and have sampled many styles of bodywork. The magic he works is beyond anything else I've tried. I am a bodyworker myself and am very selective of who I have work on me and he always far exceeds my standards. With strong hands and attentive intuitive energy, he moves in and out of deep tissue, structural work with to profoundly transcendental energy work. Whenever I'm on his table I slip in and out of dream states and when I leave, both my body and my mental/spiritual self are humming harmoniously. He is by far my preferred bodyworker! Do yourself a favor and let this wonderful practitioner help relieve your pain and give you a powerful realignment. read more

Wow!!! I am so impressed with Austin's work. I am an athlete and personal trainer so I work my body hard! Austin was very knowledgable and knew exactly what my body needed. I have a few problem areas and he was able to free me up and give my body the relief I need. I also use him for my clients that I feel need body work. He is that good!!! Austin suggested certain exercises that I could work on in between sessions to help with my chronic problems. I felt really comfortable and well taken care of. Thanks again Austin for the great work you do! read more

Austin's massages are truly incredible and not to be missed! Not only are his manual skills dynamic and relaxing in the most perfect combination, he also brings a tremendous amount of therapeutic knowledge and detailed attention to his work. I'm a practicing bodyworker myself and have had massages from countless people over the years. I tend to be pretty picky about who I get bodywork from and I must say, Austin's touch truly stands out to me. I refer anyone who lives in or is traveling through Albuquerque to him. I can't recommend him highly enough! read more

There aren't words to effectively describe Austin's exceptional talent for understanding and working with the body. His care for his clients' wellbeing is something to note. He is a rare gem! Have him work on your jaw. Amazing how much energy we store in our jaw, and how under serviced this are is! Enjoy and heal! read more

Austin is without a doubt one of the very best massage therapists in the San Francisco Bay. He dazzles with creative techniques and surprising signature moves; in a session with him, his obviously studied skills soothe me gracefully. Beyond his knowledge of massage and his exquisite execution, Austin heals me with his being. Strong. Masculine. Grounded. He's charming and attentive, always setting me at ease. He heals with his holding, a role model for male caring. I am truly lucky to be able to receive an average of one professional massage per week from a variety of talented practitioners, and I pursue Austin actively for his services. He conveniently books online. Get your appointment while you still can! read more

Austin is a true pro, who combines innate talent with refined skill. He seems to know just what my body needs. His touch is strong and confident, and his very presence is relaxing and grounding. Austin is one of those therapists you have to experience to really understand what he offers. It's extraordinary. As a massage therapist myself, people ask me who I go to for bodywork. Well, this is the guy. Austin really is as good as it gets. read more

San Francisco's air was unusually muggy. As Austin saw me into his cramped studio-rays of afternoon sunlight manifest through pleasantly scented smoke in the air-my memory of the urban environment from which I had come began immediately to dissolve. As I undressed he questioned me of former injuries and problem areas. He gently positioned me face down on the table and told me: "Your only job for the next 90 minutes is to breathe." Austin washed my body with a relaxed, gentle touch. I came out of his space feeling so good-comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely transported to a place of healing. Body work with Austin is a not to be missed opportunity and I look forward to seeing him again soon! read more

I have spinal cord and brain cancer so of course i'm very skeptical of anyone who touches my body. Austin was perfect. Not only was he sensitive in these areas, he often asked how the pressure was, etc. It was awesome how he stretched my body too. Austin even pulled out a Crystal Tibetan Singing Bowl and gave me a sound bath! It was amazing. Overall, I left really happy and satisfied. I felt realigned with my body and spirit. Thank you Austin! read more

Hmmmmmmm..... What can I say about Austin? Several things indeed... he has a sensitivity and intuition that can calm a wild beast. I have known Austin for years and have seen him grow as a therapeutic practitioner. He continues to learn and study to deepen his skill so he can be of better service to his clients. I am a local CMT and have a full practice. When I have a client that needs some help and someone to take care of them when I cannot, Austin is at the top of my list to refer to. I also do regular massage trades with him to keep me in tip top shape. I trust him with my body and with those I hold dear. He just recently studied with my bodywork teacher Dr. Fred Mitouer and impressed even him with his sincerity, his depth of authenticity and ability to absorb new information while adapting applying it at the same time. So with all this being said, it is obvious that I recommend Austin for any of your healing needs. Make an appointment now, I am sure his schedule will only get more full as time goes on. Sincerely, Mark Anthony Haviland C.M.T. read more

Austin has hands of healing! I originally scheduled an appointment to loosen up the knots in my back from stress and poor posture. I certainly got that and so much more. He creates a safe and welcoming environment where I can easily let go of my day and feel relaxed. His massage techniques are effective and left me feeling refreshed and realigned. Even an old hip injury is feeling better. I have been walking tall and feeling great (inside and out) since. I will definitely be going back for another visit soon. read more

I really want to thank Austin for the incredible massage last week. It's been a while since I've had one and boy did I need it. I'm always impressed with the loving kindness that this man shows in the world (we have met socially a number of times)- likewise, his energy in session is equally compassionate, in-tune and powerful. From the moment I arrived he put me at ease and right away I could feel my stress melting away- let's face it you have to trust your masseur! And what is more you want to feel totally safe with them, protected, able to be fully yourself. Massage is a collaborative effort. It's like dancing or conversing- both people have to be open and LISTENING to the other. Austin is an intuitive being and he made it clear from the beginning that this was a collaboration. I've been experiencing a lot of stress this past month and that with increased weight in my gym workouts has created some real physical pain. Austin worked out all the kinks and aches encouraging me to keep breathing deeply the whole way. By the end of our session I'd let go- not only of the physical discomfort in my back and legs- but also a lot of psychic discomfort that was entwined with the pain in my body. IT'S ALL AN INTERLOCKING SYSTEM AFTER ALL! This was one of the best massages I've ever received. I'm so grateful! Austin is definitely my new go-to person for massage! I left his studio feeling physically and emotionally refreshed. I can't wait to go back. read more

Austin is highly intuitive to my body's needs be it something more general and relaxing or addressing specific needs of the moment. He listens to my body with his hands and is always professional and considerate, he has a natural talent when working with people. I've had a number of other massages both local and abroad and he's by far my most regular and favorite. I always send friends to him when they are looking for someone, and they are always thankful for their experience. read more

Austin Cummings is one of the best massage therapists in San Francisco! As a chiropractor, and someone who has studied anatomy and biomechanics for much of my life, I am acutely aware of the details of what's happening during a body work session. I have never experienced a massage in San Francisco by a person with such a strong grasp of anatomy. Austin has studied yoga extensively since he was 16 years of age, and mentored with some amazing body workers. Because of this, he is deeply intuitive and really understands how the human body moves and functions. Not only does his work make you feel really good, but he has the rare talent of being able to fix the root cause of your discomfort. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

Austin approaches massage as a healing practice, and it shows in the experience/service that he provides. I immediately felt comfortable and that I was in good hands (pun intended, couldn't help myself). I liked that Austin invited me to breath into my body, it allowed me to relax into his touch. I shared areas that I felt could use work, and then he was able to pick up on other places of tension that hadn't been top of mind for me. His pressure adjusts to what you need, I appreciated that he knows how to apply firm hands in a way that made me feel supported while also getting stretched. It is easy to ignore taking care of yourself when busy with work/life, which reminds me, I'm overdue to make another appointment with Austin! read more

Austin has a way of making a nervous person such as myself feel comfortable and relaxed. And he does an excellent job getting into the parts of my body that tighten up due to stress and sport. High recommend getting body work from Austin! read more

I scheduled a massage appointment with Austin specifically because I knew he would be able to relieve some muscle soreness and increased body stiffness I was experiencing after completing a physically challenging activity. At the start of the session Austin asked me some questions, as he always does, about my current physical and energetic state, if I had any new or changes to existing medical conditions that he wasn't aware of, whether there were areas I wanted him to focus on, and most important -- how he could help and nurture me during the session and throughout the bodywork. At the start of and during the massage, Austin frequently checked in with me on the degree of pressure, which was always just right. He was incredibly attuned to my needs and intuitively responsive to them. I always felt at ease when giving him feedback or making a request for my preferences. My massage left me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed, and my body felt comfortable again. OMG.!. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Austin from start to finish. His space is peaceful and comfortable, his energy is exceptionally positive and beautiful, and his approach extends to well being beyond just the physical body in the mindfulness and care he delivers through his massage. To date, I continue to enjoy massage sessions with Austin on a frequent basis. read more

Austin's massage envelops you in nourishment in so many ways. During our 90 minute session, I felt so nurtured, as he released the tensions in me with his unique modality of pressure points (checking in at the right moments to gauge), and integration of movement and breathing. I felt genuinely cared for, and held - hence the name "Holding Company!" At the end, I was blissfully serene, and walked on air for days after. A massage with Austin is a deluxe treat - I can't recommend him enough. read more

I can't say enough good things about the skill and care Austin provides in his massage work. My body is often beat up from working out or running, or frankly just getting older. Austin is so attuned to what is going in inside my body, he knows what I need to get me through whatever pain or soreness I am feeling. Beyond that physical aspect, Austin is so necessary for my spiritual well being. His light and energy come through his work and I leave relaxed and calm, both physically and mentally. read more

Austin is a talented massage therapist! I have seen him for 4 sessions, and it gets better and better every time. I have an office job that requires a lot of drafting with the mouse, so my shoulders, upper back, and especially my right arm get stiff and sore often. Austin seems to know exactly which muscles to target, and I would feel instantly relaxed and loose by the end of each session. He is very easy to work with, and he makes you feel at ease as soon as you step inside his studio. You can carry a long conversation with him or you can just enjoy the entire session in silence. On top of that, his studio is cozy, spacious, and convenient to get to. I highly recommend giving Austin a try. read more

Recently, I went on a challenging multi-day hike that beat up my body pretty good. To speed up my recovery, I scheduled an appointment with Austin. He took the time to ask about the condition of my mind and body prior to the massage. I appreciate that he checked in from time to time during the massage, in an unobtrusive way, to ensure my comfort. Austin is a genuinely talented practitioner. I left feeling amazing. I will definitely see him again and recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new therapist. read more

Had a great massage with Austin. He's super-intuitive with his hands and responds well to the rhythm of your breath, complimenting his pressure. I thought his technical skill was great and he made me feel super comfortable. He spends a good amount of time on each area assessing what areas need the most work. I definitely felt like he relieved all the stress and tension I had built up from working too much overtime. Funny story: I was so relaxed afterwards that I tripped and fell on the sidewalk on my way home (just a warning!) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him again for his professional and caring touch. read more

Austin in awesome!! As a CMT myself, I've been looking for a therapist I can go to on a regular basis and have been trying out a lot of guys, and Austin is my man. He has an amazing sense of touch that combines intuition, skilled technique and lots of "damn that feels great!" work. It's hard to find somebody with just the right balance between a session that both feels fantastic while receiving AND feels beneficial to the body in the days following, and Austin delivers both.
