France isn't the only country doing crepes right, because this little truck produces the kind of…read morecrepes that go above and beyond what you thought crepes were possible of, jolting every single taste bud in your mouth. Seriously, they're that divine. The savory are traditionally Ble Noir or buckwheat flour sans which are conveniently GLUTEN FREE for any intolerance & the Sweet are Froment or the traditional white flour batter although the duo who run the roving joint are as sweet as their crepes and more than accommodating. I have a gluten troubles, so I asked for a Chocolate banana crepe to be made with Ble Noir adding almonds. I lived in France, and this was by far the best crepe I'd ever had. Not too eggy, or chewy, a buttery combination of both sweet and salty, a perfect crisp, smothered with real dark chocolate and crispy toasted almonds. My boy opted for the home-made caramel au beurre sale crepe with traditional froment batter. I had to admit his was even better than mine, and mine was already exceptional. The froment batter if you can handle it, really is the way to go for the sweet. They're on wheels so check their facebook or website to see where their parked for the day. Their crepes and the owners = BIG smiles and all your crepe dreams come true.

I love it!! Definitely worth a try if you like crêpes. Worth the trip to the flagey market ( less…read morepeople on Tuesday when they are square meus). And the couple who owns the truck is super friendly!!!

Beware of the name. It sounds Japanese, but it is not. At Kawa you can have some ice cream and…read morecrepes, as well as some dishes at lunch time. I came here with a friend on a very sunny and warm day to have some crepes. We decided to sit outside given the great weather, although you're only looking at cars driving by, as you're sitting next to the very busy boulevard and there's really nothing to watch in the area. But we still wanted to enjoy the sun. So, we ordered our lunch crepes (salty ones) with some cider, served in the traditional bowl of cider. The crepes were good, but nothing to wow about. As for the cider, it was nice to be sipping it under the sun. Then came the time for us to order our dessert crepes. When the waiter (and looked like the owner as well) came to take our order, he wanted to take our bowls of cider away, although we hadn't finished them yet. When we told him, he just snapped at us saying that we should drink it faster, because it's bad to let the cider become warmer. Excuse us??? That just destroyed our whole lunch. We still had our dessert crepes, but we didn't enjoy them anymore. Even though, the lunch wasn't that bad, this kind of attitude just throws me off. And therefore, for me, it just deserves a 1-star, and only because you have to give at least 1 star.

We came in on a Saturday, at noon to get some ice cream cones for the kids. The waitress was kind…read moreof offended to serve us, and took her sweet time arranging labels before even speaking to us. Finally we got the overpriced ice cream the didn't look like home-made at all, and sat down outside. The owner then came and told us to leave, saying that we paid to go, it would have been more expensive is we wanted to stay. (Nobody asked if we wanted to stay or go when we ordered the cones.) The place was empty, we were the only customers, so it cannot be said that people were queuing and waiting for a place to sit. The service is very rude here, the ice cream is overpriced, considering it might not be even home made. This was not the first time we came here, but it was definitely the last. Not recommended at all.

The latest figures on new build housing data have just been released by the ONS showing the number…read moreof new build homes to be started and completed across England. The latest data shows that between April and June 2019 there were 38,020 dwellings started and during the same time frame, there were 46,960 dwellings completed. The number of homes being started is down 1.7% quarterly and 10.5% annually while completions are up 16.8% quarterly and 10.8% annually, their second-highest rate since the last quarter of 2007. Founder and CEO of Stone Real Estate, Michael Stone, commented: "The latest figures are certainly cause for some short term celebration and demonstrate we are finally starting to build more homes. Not only is this the highest level of new homes since 2007, but we haven't seen a quarterly performance during this time of year since Enya and Kylie were topping the charts in the late 80s. However, the devil, as always, is in the detail, and when you dig into the data there are reasons to be concerned. While completions are up notably, the number of new homes being started has declined to its weakest level since 2013. This well may be symptomatic of a diminishing pipeline of appetite by developers given the political climate and falling house prices in the capital in particular. However, regardless of our political position, the appetite for homeownership remains, and so we have no time to rest on our laurels where current performance is concerned and must act now to reverse the negative trends developing in terms of new homes being started."
