Unfortunately for us, the same day we took it out we got a small dint on the windshield from a pebble so I called them immediately to inform them of what happened and they were great about it! We went back to return a few days later and they decided not to charge us for it and took care of it themselves. Highly recommend if you're looking for a car rental in the area!

He was more than generous and did more to ensure that the vehicle was in excellent condition than anyone ever would given it being a used car. I would highly recommend working with Aaron and anyone on his team.

Outstanding Service and Reliability at Doctor Monte's…read more I've been a loyal customer of Doctor Monte's since I moved into the Cambridge area in 2011, and I can't recommend them enough. Over the years they've handled a wide range of issues for me, and their expertise and commitment to quality are unmatched. One example that stands out to me is my Son brought his car in for electrical work. After eight months the same issue resurfaced. Without hesitation, Doctor Monte's took care of it again, completely covered under their warranty. More recently, I had a timing chain broke that they had installed. It caused further damage to the engine. Despite their busy schedule they got a new timing chain, and fixed the damage to the engine the broken timing chain caused. By the end of the week through their warranty it was all finished. Doctor Monte's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is truly exceptional. On another occasion, I brought my vehicle in for a simple repair, and they charged me less than they originally quoted because they had an extra part on hand. It's these little things that show their dedication to honest, customer-first service. I am always happy to bring my vehicles to Doctor Monte's, and I couldn't ask for a better team. A special thanks to Brandon, Buck, Monte and everyone else who has helped me over the years! Regards, Kyle

They were having issues communicating with the car, probably because it has been sitting in storage for a while, but they said it looks like an issue with the mass airflow sensor. They fixed the diagnostic communication issue, found that it was indeed the mass airflow sensor, ordered a rebuilt original part and installed it for me. They even delivered the car to the location that I am storing it at (in Cambridge) to save me from having to drive an hour to pick it up. When it was all said and done, the bill was only $275 (including the diagnostic and tracking down an original part). I am extremely pleased with the service and honesty from Doctor Monte. They did a great job and were not out to rack up a higher bill. I am always concerned when taking vehicles to shops that I am not familiar with. Thank you for your excellent service!

To my surprise, my phone call was answered immediately and not by some answering service. It was the tow truck driver himself who answered my call and I must say; he (Dave) was very nice and helpful. He said he would arrive within 30 minutes and he in-fact did just that. When he arrived, he was very nice and pleasant to talk to even while hooking up my car to load on his truck. He was equally nice and pleasant to talk to while driving to my mechanic's shop where I wanted my car to be dropped off for repair. Overall I would say this entire experience was the best customer service I had ever experienced. This company has to be one of the best in the entire country in my opinion. One was about a year ago after someone ran into it with a forklift at work and I just returned from picking it up after the deer hit. I could go on and on about craftsmanship but I don't have a clue what it takes. All I can tell you (and all I really care about) is that after they are done everything looks as new. Unless you know the car before you wouldn't be able to tell where any work was done. Sheet metal, paint, etc. looks flawless. The service is as good as the work and very friendly as well. Free loaner on both occasions, work was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, they inform you of any possible savings to be had and they pass them on to you. My non damaged headlight was faded and burned out prior to hitting the deer. They polished it to match the new one and did what they could to get it working (ended up being a module). I had painted the grill to match the vehicle, again they replicated that as well after calling to see what I used. The car was cleaned and vacuumed as well even though all work was exterior.... everything at no charge. It's my body shop of choice and will recommend them to anyone needing work done.

Whereas Hy-Tech stands by their work (I've bought tires from them, one with a leak, which they replaced for free.), Chapman's trumps up charges, even when they provided no fruitful results. In Feb 2025, I called Hy-Tech with a P2647 code and faltering power on my Honda CRV 2009. Hy-Tech was busy, but gave some helpful suggestions to look into (VVT solenoid). When I brought the vehicle to Chapman's, they called after a few hours claiming that my issues were related to a recurring P0420 code (a recurring code on this vehicle) and tried to sell me the very expensive and relatively useless job of new catalytic converters. Tried to impress me with the diligence and extensive scanning with their diagnostics scanner, but failed to give any better suggestion than new cats, while even admitting that that was probably not the true problem and the small amount of oil burnt might likely foul the new cats anyway, rendering the whole fix useless. And they "were not able to replicate the faltering". Stupidly, I paid the $250 fee for failed diagnostics over the phone without asking for a price breakdown. When I picked up the vehicle after hours, the receipt showed $120 for Diagnostics, and $130 for the complete list of codes found (Air bag sensors, abnormal door lock voltages, etc.) MAYBE I would have wanted that information if I was driving a 2025 brand new vehicle, but not a 16 year old beater at 300,000 miles with an obvious and very specific issue.
