Phenomenal is an understatement. - Last month I determined that I wanted to have landscaping done at my house in College Park. Shortly after contacting Hogan Landscapes, Bryan reached out, walked my yard with me and provided a quote. The price was unbeatable and the job was outstanding. Bryan and his team did more than an excellent job. They made my yard look amazing and even went above and beyond, removed excess debris and fixed some minor exterior commodities. The overall quality of work and level of service was outstanding. I would highly recommend Bryan and his crew with Hogan Landscapes to anyone. Hogan's installed sod in our front yard on July 23, 2026 while we were returning from vacation in spite of us specifically requesting that it not be installed until July 24th or later. We wanted to be home to make certain that the ground underneath was tilled or scraped and then top soil spread prior to installation of the sod. We paid for upgraded Scott ProVista St. Augustine sod from Duda & Sons. A few weeks later, after noticing that the grass was turning brown in spite of proper watering, someone from Hogan came and lifted the sod in a few locations and told us that the sod was not taking root and was brown on the underside. We have called repeatedly and asked that someone come and explain what they can do to fix the issue. They've promised that a manager would come out (never happened). Technically they have completed all of the tasks listed in their contract, sod follow-up inspection (this is when the inspector told us the sod had not rooted), irrigation management, follow-up visit by spray tech to apply preventive insecticide and nutrients to develop roots but the grass is still yellow/brown/dead after 5 weeks. We have had ample rain and watered repeatedly Additionally, the sod was installed in such a way that we are unable to open our gate and have asked that they fix that as well. Now they are refusing to take and/or return our calls. read more

If I could rate them a zero I would! They won the contract in our community in the Tampa area and have been the worst yet! They skip over yards, don't do any trimming or edging. Its awful! read more

We've used Hogan for over ten years for our lawn mowing. As the years have gone by I would say they do less and less true landscaping work unprompted, but they are consistent about mowing the lawn, and will do other trimming tasks if asked. Hogan landscapes is by far the most professional lawn company I've come across. They are very quick to respond and provide exceptional landscaping for my home . I would definitely recommend them to everyone in need of lawn care . They do custom landscaping and their customer service was superb with prices you can't beat in central Florida . read more

Had to change companies when they were charging for work not being done. Paid to have a tree removed and they said they needed me to help with the removal because they didnt have a full team when they got there. Also had their irrigation guy come to close off and cap my irrigation that I paid for and it was not done properly which cost me an additional $1000 in water bill, plumber, etc. to fix. Have emailed and called numerous times with no response. They do not stand behind their work and what work they do is not done properly. read more

I can't say enough about Hogan's! I called for a quote on clearing old bushes and white rock out of our front yard. Jeffrey came out to look it over, offered his advice, gave us a price and at 6:30 AM the very next morning, the crew showed and began the job. The front garden area is huge and they had to cut down huge overgrown diseased bushes (three were as a tall as the roof!). Yards of white rock had to go as well - tedious and backbreaking in the oppressive 97 degree heat!! They were courteous and friendly - a super team! They worked so hard to get a massive triple robellini planted just right. They came early the next morning and put all the other plants in, added soil and mulch. They even went beyond and trimmed a few trees in the yard that weren't in the project before leaving! They were gone before noon. A day and a half and the whole job was done! The guys in the crew were awesome! Special thanks to Dustin, Brian, Ray and Will. They were remarkable, very loyal to Hogan's and took a great deal of pride in their work. I love those guys! Never heard them complaining and worked so well together. They wanted to be sure it was just the way we wanted it, and they cut no corners. I was nervous about the outcome, but I couldn't be happier. They were great to talk to, and Jeffrey and the crew transformed my tired old garden into a colorful and beautiful front yard. Now I can take pride in how our house looks. We will always call on Hogan's for landscaping. I would recommend for any job, large or small. If you want experienced guys who want to please their customers, and do beautiful work, call Hogan's. You won't be disappointed! read more

Called them for an estimate. The guy was extremely unresponsive. Almost felt like they don't even care for the new customers. When I finally got estimate, I've tried to call them twice and left voicemails. Never got responce from them!! Very poor customer service. We planned to register both of our properties to be serviced with them. I guess not anymore! Theydon't care for people's business read more

Hogan Landscapes revamped my front landscaping last week. The job included digging up the existing plants and mulch and replacing with new fresh plants and mulch. They also trimmed some trees for me, filled a large planter with soil, and added sod to a small section of my yard I dug up. They did a great job, even working through the rain. Jeffrey really worked with me to find plants that would do well in that area and look great too. I had a couple of small issues at the end of the job, but they came back the next morning and fixed everything to my liking. They really do care about their work and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the finished product. I would recommend for sure. read more

Hogan Landscapes did a fantastic job giving our yard some much needed TLC! We worked directly with Jeff who came the same day we called him for our original inquiry and estimate and then scheduled us within 2 weeks to get the work done. We loved the design they came up with and the plants they selected to work in conjunction with some previous plants and trees already in the beds. They made sure we approved of everything during the install and took their time to make sure it was done correctly! We also had our irrigation worked on by Hogan and a bubbler system put in for the new tree they planted in our yard! All in all we had an extremely pleasant experience with Hogan Landscapes and would highly recommend them! read more

In July 2020 I hired Bret Hogan to install sod in my yard, repair and adjust my sprinkler system and keep up with the chemicals for a year. From the moment he got his money he became very slow to respond. It took about a month for him to install the sod. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as it had truly been very rainy. I will admit the install looked nice and of good quality. However, his lack of responsiveness just got worse and worse. When it was looking mushy and not taking root it took multiple contacts to get him to come out (3 emails and 2 voicemails). That was in September. This is not a case of me constantly contacting him. At this point there are a lot of weeds in the lawn and the sprinkler system is coming on at 10am instead of overnight and as I had paid up front for him to keep up with the chemicals for a year I would expect he would do this. I emailed him in late October, he replied that he would be out. He never came out. I followed up 3 times in November with absolutely no response. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Brett has no integrity and will take money for services and then not complete the task. I am going to now have to pay someone else. BEWARE. read more

This review is not for any actual work done. I have lived in my current home for 19 years, and I have 3 palm trees that are typical of the type you would find on most Florida properties. I have always paid $25-$50 per tree to have them trimmed. This year, I thought I would give Hogan a try. When I was quoted $500.00 to trim my 3 trees, I was more than a bit shocked. That is the minimum price for any landscaping work. They may do excellent work, but not for me.. read more

I recently purchased a house that is 15 years old. According to the neighbors, the underground sprinkler system was never used. I met Bobb from Hogan Landscaping who was checking the underground sprinkler system on another house and explained my circumstance. I was expecting the worse. Bobb ran some tests and determined the problem. He explained the necessary equipment replacement/repair to put the system back in working order. And he did so in language even an old lady can understand. I highly recommend Hogan Landscapes for all lawn care needs. read more

Just moved into a home that I purchased in College Park that did not have much of anything for landscaping. We called Hogan to see what improvements could be made and Brian came out with his crew within 48 hours. Brian provided a lot of great suggestions and ideas, which we implemented. From trimming back overgrown trees, to installing a new flower bed and adding mulch, to a well groomed lawn, my house's curb appeal has significantly improved! Within days, I received many compliments on the new landscaping and was asked who performed the work. We now have one of the most beautiful and noticeable properties on the street, thanks to Hogan! Brian also tested and set up our irrigation system customized to the new yard's needs. Brett and Brian clearly have great experience and pride in what they do and their customer care is fantastic! I would highly recommend Hogan to anyone who is looking for landscaping services! read more

Absolutely worst service ever! Owner, Brett, aka Hogan, NEVER NEVER answers or returns calls. Even after 5-7 calls and messages per day, you get nothing. His team turns over every month and you have new people with extreme language barriers. They would spend 30 minutes on a job that should take 2 hours. No edging, little weed whacking, (just enough to whack my plants). Don't even think about these guys, RUN!!! The salesman that comes is nice and persuasive....don't be fooled!!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. From start to finish this was an awesome experience. He went above and beyond in making sure everything was done perfectly and we are 100% satisfied. Price was very affordable and customer service was extremely friendly and personable. Had a quote to have my yard replaced with new sod. It came in higher than I expected and with the fact that I just moved in and all the expenses I postponed replacing my lawn at a cost of $8K. Six months later and summer time I'm ready to have it replaced and because they were detailed I wrote them back to please quote. I had just replaced the front so I expected them to come out and provide me with an updated quote. I received the same quote from "Joe" at a cost of $9.6K this time. Sorry I realized I need to price this out to other landscapers. read more

Not from the area and was unsure of who to contact. Called Hogan after reading positive reviews and spoke with Brett. He arranged for Brian to visit the job the same day. Quote, landscape vision, and nursery recommendation were offered within a short period, an hour later, after giving Brian my expectations. The work was scheduled 2 days later. They showed up full steam and completed the job within the day. They were able to cut, trim, clean up, cart away, replant and mulch. Even removed a fence! They were lovely to work with. Respectful and efficient. We were totally thrilled with the outcome. Nicest cottage garden on the street! Would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I recently purchased my very first home after spending the last 10+ years in various apartments/rentals where I didn't have to worry about taking care of any maintenance myself. Well, after Hogan Landscapes came hiiiiighly recommended by one of my co-workers, I still feel like I don't have to worry about taking care of anything myself, lol. Not only has he and his crew taken great care of my lawn (which needed a lot of work upon move-in), but soon thereafter I found out he also takes care of pest control! #winning Perhaps if I had discovered Hogan sooner I wouldn't have waited so long to take on the idea of being a homeowner. Hogan Landscapes just completed the landscaping of my front yard. They really listened to me regarding the look I was going for and my desire to have a low maintenance, sod free front yard. Our experience with Hogan was great from the beginning to the end! I reached out to them to get a quote to spruce up our yard. Hogan answered the first time I called and directed me to Jeffrey Lee to schedule a time to come out. They did a beautiful job on our yard and were very reasonable. Jeffrey had a lot of good ideas that we went with. That was really important because we didn't know what exactly we wanted. They were on time, and very professional. I hired Hogan Landscaping after being referred by a friend. I was getting my house ready to put on the market for sale. I had extensive work to prepare my home to compete against other homes already up for sale. I had Hogan put down sod and arrange the shrubs and plants to maximize the curb appeal. In addition, the plants that were already around the yard needed to be pruned. I am pleased to say, all the work done by Hogan was great. After, the landscaping was completed, my house looked like new construction. It was amazing to see how the landscaping affected such positive change, I admit painting also had a lot to do with the appearance, but the landscaping work was the icing on the cake. I had a contract within one week and my house sold from that contract soon thereafter. Thanks Hogan Landscaping, job well done. read more

I called Hogan Landscape to provide me a quote for a large renovation in Celebration. They were on time, very dependable , and completed the job sooner than estimated. Irrigation was installed for the both the front and back yard with great coverage for all of my new plants and grass. New rock was installed on the pool deck with plants for the pots in front. The grass looked good and is still doing great. Overall I was very happy with there service , plant material , prices and will continue using Hogan Landscaping for any upcoming projects. read more

I called around for a quote for sod replacement (which had to be done very quickly to avoid fines from my HOA). Not only did Hogan have the highest Yelp review in my area, they also quoted me the lowest price for what I wanted. To be sure I was getting what I needed, he did a site visit and while there pointed out a tree that was pushing up shingles on my roof. They also trimmed this tree which was really high. The additional cost was reasonable (and much lower than the deductible on my health insurance that I would have needed if I tried this myself). After instillation, which went into the night, they came back the following day to set my sprinklers to insure proper watering of the new sod. I am unaccustomed to this level of service from other landscapers, and would (and have) recommend Hogan Landscaping. read more

I would definitely not recommend. States one thing and as time goes on it is suddenly not included. Has left my gate open more than once and I have dogs. I had to call, text and email for 3 days and until I threatened to cancel service then I get a response back. Also have rental property and they got real lazy with basics of just weed wacking and when they did they were going to the root ruining my st Augustine grass. You get better service from your local 16 yr old yard boy. read more

I contacted Hogan for a quote and hired them a few days later. A week went by and no one came back. I called again and they sent someone that same day. Then three more weeks went by and no one came. I should have canceled then. Their service was very inconsistent. Sometimes they would show up with 4 people and do a great job. Other times just 2 people would blow through in about 20 minutes and weeds would build up. I saw one of them throw a cigarette butt down in my driveway. They broke the bracket that holds my pool cleaning equipment and would constantly blow debris into the pool. The last straw was when they set the blade too low and butchered the St. Augustine lawn and on top of that left the clippings clumped up all over the yard. I called but no one answered. I took pics and sent emails. Someone apologized and said another crew would come and rake up the clippings but no one ever came. read more
