Dr. Tuesday listened to my symptoms, and she believed me. She recommended pelvic floor physical therapy, and eventually performed my surgery to remove the endometriosis legions. About six months after surgery, I became pregnant. The Joya team was amazing. It's a small office, so appointments are relaxed and private. Dr. Tuesday is informed, articulate, caring, and skilled. Jordan at the front, the nursing staff, and Dr. Tuesday are all supportive, warm, and incredibly caring. The Joya team listened to my wishes regarding all aspects of pregnancy and answered whatever questions I had. Incredibly, Dr. Tuesday has delivered almost all of her patient's babies. I'm not sure if a lot of first time moms realize this, but there are a lot of horror stories about gynecologists "scheduled" or "sped up" their births due holidays or personal interests, wasn't at their birth at all, or performed procedures that the birthing person did not consent to. Care from the Joya team is not like that. Dr. Tuesday is consistently prioritizing patient care, even when it is an inconvenience to her private life. Before giving birth, I had decided that I wanted to delay the epidural as long as possible so I could be up and moving. I wasn't against having one if it was what I needed to do to have a positive experience, but I wanted to be mobile and upright for as long as I could be. I ended up spending the majority of time in the hospital's jacuzzi. Dr Tuesday actually came into that room to see me and assess me at one point. The nursing staff at Legacy Meridan was overall amazing. I ended up giving birth without an epidural and rather quickly. At around 8:30 pm, after being at the hospital for (I believe) a couple of hours, Dr. Tuesday stepped out for dinner. Of course that is when my labor really progressed- it was super quick. It's my understanding that Dr. Tuesday left dinner to make it back to the hospital, where she successfully delivered my baby. (It's my understanding that in some larger practices, another Dr. from the same group would deliver the baby if your Dr. was not on shift) Like so many of us, I was woman with a complex and unsolved issue. I am so grateful for the Joya team and highly recommend them.

I found Dr. Pearson shortly after having a miscarriage. I was pregnant soon after the miscarriage and I came in uneasy due to the trauma I endured from the miscarriage. From the beginning, she was extremely comforting as well as took the time to really sit down with me, provide education, and showed up with sincerity and good eye contact when listening to my questions and providing answers. I actually had a scare during this pregnancy, and I had to contact her one weekend evening. Her presence on that call was just so grounding, she didn't rush me, she didn't make me feel like there was anything wrong with being worried. She just reassuringly let me know what to do and then saw me immediately for a follow up appointment just one day after that scare to confirm that everything looked OK. Thankful for her and her staff!

I hestitated for many reasons but my body eventually decided for me. I had everything removed: cervix, ovaries and Fallopian tubes. I had a large fibroid and Stage 4 endometriosis. I figured out that I was in pain for 10+ years. I thought this was my fate. I was having a particularly rough time in October and my iron was way below normal. It was determined that I had to make this decision for my health. The whole process to get me in was rushed but totally organized, thought out and I was handled with the best of care. Dr. Pendergrass is phenomenally talented. I did not have any pain as I recovered. I was out having breakfast three days after surgery! Legacy Hospital was top notch, Dr Pendergrass so skilled and kind, informative and truly wants her patients to live their best lives. Katerina, Dr Pendergrass assistant is fantastic and makes sure you have all the information you need. I highly highly recommend Dr Pendergrass if you're considering a hysterectomy. My regret is not doing this sooner. I suffered for too long. Best decision ever!

If you are looking for a physician who will listen to you, advocate for you, and take your pain seriously, I strongly recommend Dr. Pendergrass. I felt respected and heard throughout all my interactions with her. I had been living with bad period pain and was diagnosed with fibroids by a different doctor who referred me to her, but I figured that excruciating monthly pain was just the price of having a uterus and I should just live with it. During our first consultation Dr. Pendergrass encouraged me to not downplay the pain I was in and gave me facts and information that helped me decide to go forward with the hysterectomy, which was an option I hadn't even considered before talking to her. When I had concerns up until the morning of surgery, she took the time to discuss and answer my questions fully. The surgery went extremely smoothly, and the post-op pain at its worst was less than half of what I had previously experienced every month. Dr. Pendergrass responded very quickly to all of my questions through the patient app both before and after surgery. She is honest, funny, she listened to me, and and she introduced me to treatment options I didn't know were available to me. My life is so much better and wish I would have seen her years ago!

I couldn't have made it through my pregnancy without her level headed and comforting manner. Since I was relatively new to the area, I didn't have a good primary doctor or specialist needed for two issues that came up during the pregnancy and she managed to refer me to two great providers one of whose practice was closed. Delivery wasn't the easiest either and the compassion that Dr. Suzuki displayed was amazing and wish she had been my ob/gyn for my older daughter's birth as well. I had originally decided to start seeing Dr. Suzuki based on recommendation on the Urbanmamas website. It was only after I switched to her did I learn that one of our good family friends who is a nurse had her as her doctor as well since Dr. Suzuki was highly recommended with fellow nurses. Even though we have since moved from the area I quite miss having Dr. Suzuki as my ob/gyn. If we did consider having more little people I would consider moving back to Portland...

After that night, she became my doctor and always, always talked straight while putting me at ease. I would see her again in a heartbeat if my insurance allowed or if I lived closer. Dr Fox is a special woman who happens to be a great doctor, too.

When I saw Dr. Fox during our first consult, she was incredibly compassionate and listened to every concern that I had. From a practical standpoint, she did help with my third pregnancy sticking and I had healthy baby. Dr. Fox is a low intervention physician and trusts that you are your own best advocate. However, she is not shy about giving you medical guidance but she is very much into allowing you be empowered through your pregnancy and birth. While she did not deliver my baby, she was on rotation while I was at the hospital postpartum where we thoroughly discussed how the birth was and recovery plans. She has performed many circumcisions on newborns and rumor has it, she is the best at it at the Family Birth Center. She is one of those doctors that I have the utmost respect for in terms of how she practices medicine, yet she is cool enough to go have a drink with. If you're looking for an awesome OB, look no further.

Was very happy with our birthing experience here. We came in hot and heavy and fully dilated at 3am in full contractions and in a panic and as soon as we walked through the door all the nurses were on top of things! They all kept calm and hurried me into a room and helped me deliver a very quick baby. I appreciated everyone keeping their cool and help me through things as it was too late for pain meds. After care was great too! Baby needed lots of monitoring and even though they came in ever 2 hours, they were super respectful and quiet. I look forward to coming back next time!

And I still don't know why... she was almost crying she was so uncomfortable talking to me. And I do not know her. After these visits I really feel uncomfortable going to the ER wich should be atleast ocomidating enough to let me find out if the docter is good enough. I'm scared to even walk thru the front door let alone get my blood drawn by a dirty needle. I hope this place steps up there game because the first step to a dying state is people in health care like you.
