Papaver (Klaproos)!!! The menu is FANTASTIC, not too big but big enough to satisfy all palates. Excellent meat and fish dishes, pasta ,veggie options even ... the one better than the other, depending on your preferences and taste. My preferred dish here is "Dorade on thick salt".... mmmhhh, ... it makes me wanna book a table again tonight! Fee & Nadia welcome you in relaxed atmosphere, friendly, inviting, elegant and cozy... the #Max! I go out to eat on a frequent basis. Few times a week. When I don't visit Papaver after 1 day I week I feel .. haha! So I come back again. There's something in their food that it's almost addictive ... personally it makes me crave for more... The best "pimped tomato juice" is made here. Try it if you like ... I don't have a sweet tooth but their "Sorbet Colonel" is yammie! All of their dishes have that special "touch" you'll find nowhere else. Trust me! In the spring/ summer they open this relaxing and reserved terrace surrounded by climbing leaves.amazing to even take the laptop and do some work outside .. I recommend you to book upfront. This place is always packed and theres a good reason for that: food revolution with a twist! You won't regret a visit! Enjoy!!

    I'd seen the Veranda crew present at Omnivore Paris. Luckily, they also attended Omnivore San…read moreFrancisco. Not only did they present, they also cooked one of the special dinners. It's hard to see someone cook something and not be able to taste it in the demos. Well I finally got to try the cooking. The dinner went as follows: -Squid. Black Sesame, Soy, Lime -"Grains and Seeds" -Celery Root, Lemon, Wood Sorrel -Scallop, Potato, Sweet and Sour Mustard -"Ocean and Land" -Milk Mousse, Mandarin, Endive -"Olive" Food was fantastic all around. Their cooking is reminiscent of a wave of chefs like Christian Puglisi of Relae and Inazki Aizpitarte of Chateaubriand. Very few, simple ingredients but very complex flavor profile combinations. Just beautiful amazing cooking. After chatting extensively with Daan the Front Of the House representative during the dinner and then getting to hang with him, Koen and Davy during the Omnivore conference, Im convinced that I need a revisit to their cuisine and experience at Veranda. The service is A+. Besides a great wine selection, Veranda also offers some great beers to accompany your meal. Ask for their suggestions! They have one tasting menu: 55 euros for 5 courses, and it's worth every cent. Enjoy
