They have plenty of meats, cheeses, beers, coffees, and teas to accommodate this kind of occupation. In the evenings the menu changes entirely, and the cafe converts into a rather nice restaurant. The interior design evokes the Old World but also incorporates some modernism, like those increasingly ubiquitous suspended tree branches. Someday we will look back on them as the synthetic potted plant of yesteryear. I remain unversed in traditional Dutch cuisine, but here the bland meat and potatoes appear in haute cuisine form. Dishes run around 20 euro at any rate. As the crowds begin to dwindle it's a nice place to sample Dutch beers and shoot the breeze.

The staff has always been fantastic, but there appears to be a bit more pep in their step from the shared pride in the new environment. We did the seafood tasting menu with recommended wine pairings and were pleasantly surprised at how tasty and well done every course and side was. It was more traditional than some of the gastronomy courses we have seen on their Instagram, but it was midweek and the clientele most likely come for something more classic. This would be a fantastic restaurant in Amsterdam, Antwerp, or Rotterdam, but for BOZ it is breathtaking. On top of that, the value for the quality and attention to detail are second to none in the area.
