Great pool & spa area. The main part of the hotel is starting to look really dated at this point. They have a new floor to ceiling glass wall bedroom wing that's supposed to be gorgeous but I didn't stay in that part so can't comment.
The food in the bar is dreadful & the fine dining area was too expensive for a family to use. Unfortunately when we were there a sharp piece of plastic ended up in my daughter's ice cream & they had a fire drill for staff without telling any guests on the third floor which meant a relative in her late sixties with a very bad hip & back had to defend three stories by stairs with everyone else only to be told when she got there that there was no need to. Frightened the kids too.
A request for a pitcher of water to be sent to a room at 10.45 arrived at 12.15 after two calls down to reception. Slight touch of fawlty towers going on.
Free wifi that sometimes works in the rooms.
Not the best of experiences. I'd love to rate it higher, unfortunately can't. read more
