Hockridge Florist has been in business for years, and their expertise really shines through. I booked Hockridge for my May 2024 wedding in Claremont. Ann and her team created my bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, table bud vase decor, and aisle flowers. I was blown away by how beautiful everything was! I only had a vague idea of what I wanted for my wedding florals, so I let Ann take the reins. I just told her I wanted to keep things simple. She sat down with me months before the wedding to learn more about what I wanted, and I could tell she would do an excellent job from the start. She really knows her stuff. I was not disappointed! Plus, Hockridge's pricing is extremely reasonable. I definitely had sticker shock when I began shopping around for a wedding florist, so when I found Hockridge, I was so relieved. The pricing doesn't feel like you're being gouged just because you're having a wedding, and the high quality is definitely there. Thanks, Hockridge! read more

I ordered a red rose corsage and boutonniere for my son's prom. I told them I wanted 3 roses on the corsage and a single rose on the boutonniere. I was shocked when I picked it up and all I received was 3 mini roses! They were so tiny, this corsage is a joke! Never again. read more

I called them one day in advance of my parents 50th wedding anniversary. After being turned away for the last minute business by several other florists. They were able to squeeze me in. They did a fantastic job and delivered on three corsages and five boutonnieres at such a last minute. Not only were the flowers, beautiful and exactly what I wanted, but the service was impeccable. They had them ready for me before the time they had promised. I highly recommend to anyone please support this business. They are wonderful. read more

I ordered a $65 bouquet, $82 after taxes and delivery fee. They were supposed to be a big bouquet but not what my sister received. Flowers were in a small vase and looked like they threw in left over flowers along side a half dozen roses. I was not very pleased, actually very disappointed. The same $ would have gotten me a much nicer bouquet from FTD but I try to order local. I trusted the ladies judgement as to a 'very nice ' bouquet! read more

Before my son passed away he had ordered flowers for me for Mother's Day. I wanted to preserve them. I called Hockridge Florist and they said they could put them in resin for me. I called every month for 7 months to follow up. Each time the owner told me not to worry that they are taking care of it. It's been 14 months and no word from them. Terrible Shameful read more

A good florist knows their business and this florist does! I couldn't find a graduation flower lei because 1. I didn't allow enough time and 2. Nobody told me where to find one last minute and 3. I lack skills to make one, so you hope someone you call can give you any ideas to make your college student's vision come true. They gave me a referral of theirs willing to sell to the public and I called and they had ONE flower lei left. It's when you tell the customers where to go if you can't fulfill their needs yourself that you really know a good company! Thank you, Hockridge. The lei may come from the other place, but I'll always tell people you got it for us. read more

Had an amazing experience with this place. My grandfather when he was alive would order flowers for my grandma for Valentine's Day and their anniversary when he was alive. I had almost forgotten that an important anniversary was coming up this weekend and I had forgotten to get flowers. One call to Hockridge and 30 minutes later and I had an amazing bouquet. I am beyond impressed. I thought last minute to go and get a flower arrangement for a funeral I was going to for a Navy veteran. I walked in, told her my vision, told her I was in a rush, and in less than 15 minutes, Ann Marie walked out with this amazing creation, to resemble the American Flag, just like I wanted it to. She made the vision I had in my mind even more amazing in person. I will 100% for sure be going back here for any future flower needs, and will recommend her to everyone I know.. read more

This is more than just a florist they are they are experts at what they do. Our family and extended family and any friends we tell about them have just been using their services for decades. The owner really cares about her customers and she is prideful of the work she does. From ordering a simple boutiques to having Hockridge Handel an entire funeral and reception from flowers to tables and chairs beverages and the most tasty food and deserts. I could go on and on but some people will not read a review that is too long. If you need a boutique or and entire event superbly handled, pick up the phone and call Hockridge Florist. As for the the gentlemen who was disappointed with his 6 roses, just a thought, plan ahead and call first on Valentines day. Thank you, the entire Thornberry Family. read more

Hockridge has saved my ass so many times with the perfect bouquet / arrangement. Their employees can make whatever you need in your necessary price range and quick. I have gone to Hockridge for anniversaries, funerals, Easter you name it. A handful of times, I have gone in 30 minutes till closing (I know this sucks, I've had it happen to me) while they are getting ready the next days deliveries and they are able to put together what I needed right away. When you use them ask for a little bit of spray glitter on our flowers, it draws light to the bouquet and makes it shine! *If you need a special color / variety of flowers go in a minimum of a week before so Hockridge can order it from their supplier in enough time for your event. read more

I am so glad I went here for my grandmother's memorial. I really procrastinated on getting flowers for the vespers/potluck after the service, and frantically looked everywhere for a decent deal. We had event planners, so we didn't need the flowers arranged (plus I was on a short budget), but everywhere else nearby I went was way over priced and it really discouraged me. Finally I found Hockridge, and I told them exactly what I told everyone else, and they were literally $50-$100 cheaper than anywhere else! Plus, the ladies were so nice and helpful, quick to order (due to my procrastination), flexible and the flowers were gorgeous. Thank you hockridge for being so great! I have been here 3 times total, 2 of which I had great experiences. However, my experience this morning, Valentine's Day, was TERRIBLE and I don't think I'll ever purchase flowers from this place again. First off, it's Valentine's Day, they're stressed, I understand that 100% I arrived at about 10:30 this morning to pickup a flower arrangement for my girlfriend. There were 2 people ahead of me that had already been helped and were waiting for their flowers and it took quite some time for even 1 of the 3 girls behind the counter to acknowledge me. Even after the other customers left, I was standing at the cash register awkwardly while they talked to each other and insisted on answering phones over helping an in store customer. I was eventually greeted, not even by the girl on the register, and said that I would like half a dozen roses like the display on the table near the entrance. The woman walked over and grabbed the actual display set that weren't in very good condition. I asked nicely if she could arrange a fresh one from the back (like they have happily offered both other times I've been in there) and she said 'no we don't have any more available'. So, its 10am on V-day and you don't have anymore roses available? Sorry, but I'm not buying that. Sounds like someone is just too lazy to put in some legwork. I was in a hurry as I needed to drop these off before work so I said id just take them. 'Ok. Fine' she replied. $54 for the worst set of roses I've ever received from any flower shop. I felt cheated on the walk back to my car. IN SHORT: The woman in front of me received a giant, beautiful, custom arrangement from the back and was charged $70. I was charged $54 for 6 mediocre, blandly arranged roses that looked like they had been sitting since yesterday morning and were honestly on par with a set you'd get from Trader Joe's and received horrid, HORRID service. read more

I can't even express how amazed I am with Hockridge Florist! I utilized them for the flowers, rentals, and coordination for my wedding on June 6, 2015. Flowers: The flowers were absolutely exquisite, simply put. From the flowers in my hair to the matching flowers in the flower girl's basket, Hockridge did a superb job. I had expressed that I wanted the wild flower look, and the florists at Hockridge were able to take my little suggestions and make a beautiful wonderland that SO many of my guests were amazed by. My bouquet was everything I'd imagined, corsages were adorable, and the flowers for the sweetheart table were breathtaking. Truly, I have a hard time expressing how gorgeous of a job they did. Laura and Ann Marie both did an amazing job and worked with me a ton to achieve the wedding of my dreams. Rentals: Hockridge offers all of the rentals you need: chairs, tables, linens, vases, china, etc. I utilized all of these services and for a small fee they set everything up as well. It was hassle free and they use very high quality products. The only thing I would "warn" is that you are responsible for making sure there are no food products on the china when you're done, so be sure to delegate someone (or your caterer) to do a quick rinse of any china you use. Coordination: This is how my wedding, one in which was fairly low budget and at a home, became so polished that I've had a myriad of guests tell me it was the most beautiful wedding and smoothest they've ever attended. I hired Ann Marie as my coordinator around August of 2014 and she helped me every step of the way, but she went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. I literally never had to deal with any problems the day of the wedding because she handled it. My bustle became undone and she instantly had a safety pin for it. The cake looked a bit plain, so she decked it out with flowers, some extra props we had bought beforehand, and made it one of the most beautiful portions of the wedding (it literally had its own spotlight!) I had the wedding at a beautiful private Victorian home in Redlands and the owner has had multiple weddings. Afterwards, the owner told me that Ann Marie was the best coordinator she'd ever encountered. To top it all off, when we didn't know what to do with the excess food, Ann Marie asked if we'd like for her to donate it to a local homeless shelter. How amazing is that?! In conclusion: Just hire them! Seriously, I can't express how amazing of a job they did. They are worth every single penny and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

They are truly amazing. My daughter's low-budget backyard wedding was absolutely magical. That was the word used by multiple guests. "Magical." Ann Marie, Laura and Stephen were there from the beginning to help with suggestions since we went into this with very few ideas in mind. It was definitely money well spent to hire Ann Marie as the wedding coordinator. She took care of everything, which was a blessing for me since I live in another state. Everytime I talked to my daughter I was amazed at how calm she was. She knew Ann, Laura and crew had everything handled and was not worried about a thing. I have been singing their praises to all who will listen. And, I have two more daughters. Believe me, I will definitely be using this very professional crew again and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in enjoying the day. read more
