A good florist knows their business and this florist does! I couldn't find a graduation flower lei because 1. I didn't allow enough time and 2. Nobody told me where to find one last minute and 3. I lack skills to make one, so you hope someone you call can give you any ideas to make your college student's vision come true. I have gone to Hockridge for anniversaries, funerals, Easter you name it. A handful of times, I have gone in 30 minutes till closing (I know this sucks, I've had it happen to me) while they are getting ready the next days deliveries and they are able to put together what I needed right away. I have been here 3 times total, 2 of which I had great experiences. However, my experience this morning, Valentine's Day, was TERRIBLE and I don't think I'll ever purchase flowers from this place again. First off, it's Valentine's Day, they're stressed, I understand that 100% I arrived at about 10:30 this morning to pickup a flower arrangement for my girlfriend. There were 2 people ahead of me that had already been helped and were waiting for their flowers and it took quite some time for even 1 of the 3 girls behind the counter to acknowledge me. Even after the other customers left, I was standing at the cash register awkwardly while they talked to each other and insisted on answering phones over helping an in store customer. I was eventually greeted, not even by the girl on the register, and said that I would like half a dozen roses like the display on the table near the entrance. The woman walked over and grabbed the actual display set that weren't in very good condition. I asked nicely if she could arrange a fresh one from the back (like they have happily offered both other times I've been in there) and she said 'no we don't have any more available'. So, its 10am on V-day and you don't have anymore roses available? Sorry, but I'm not buying that. Sounds like someone is just too lazy to put in some legwork. I was in a hurry as I needed to drop these off before work so I said id just take them. 'Ok. Fine' she replied. $54 for the worst set of roses I've ever received from any flower shop. I felt cheated on the walk back to my car. IN SHORT: The woman in front of me received a giant, beautiful, custom arrangement from the back and was charged $70. I was charged $54 for 6 mediocre, blandly arranged roses that looked like they had been sitting since yesterday morning and were honestly on par with a set you'd get from Trader Joe's and received horrid, HORRID service. read more

I can't even express how amazed I am with Hockridge Florist! I utilized them for the flowers, rentals, and coordination for my wedding on June 6, 2015. Flowers: The flowers were absolutely exquisite, simply put. From the flowers in my hair to the matching flowers in the flower girl's basket, Hockridge did a superb job. I had expressed that I wanted the wild flower look, and the florists at Hockridge were able to take my little suggestions and make a beautiful wonderland that SO many of my guests were amazed by. My bouquet was everything I'd imagined, corsages were adorable, and the flowers for the sweetheart table were breathtaking. Truly, I have a hard time expressing how gorgeous of a job they did. Laura and Ann Marie both did an amazing job and worked with me a ton to achieve the wedding of my dreams. Rentals: Hockridge offers all of the rentals you need: chairs, tables, linens, vases, china, etc. I utilized all of these services and for a small fee they set everything up as well. It was hassle free and they use very high quality products. The only thing I would "warn" is that you are responsible for making sure there are no food products on the china when you're done, so be sure to delegate someone (or your caterer) to do a quick rinse of any china you use. Coordination: This is how my wedding, one in which was fairly low budget and at a home, became so polished that I've had a myriad of guests tell me it was the most beautiful wedding and smoothest they've ever attended. I hired Ann Marie as my coordinator around August of 2014 and she helped me every step of the way, but she went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. I literally never had to deal with any problems the day of the wedding because she handled it. My bustle became undone and she instantly had a safety pin for it. The cake looked a bit plain, so she decked it out with flowers, some extra props we had bought beforehand, and made it one of the most beautiful portions of the wedding (it literally had its own spotlight!) I had the wedding at a beautiful private Victorian home in Redlands and the owner has had multiple weddings. Afterwards, the owner told me that Ann Marie was the best coordinator she'd ever encountered. To top it all off, when we didn't know what to do with the excess food, Ann Marie asked if we'd like for her to donate it to a local homeless shelter. How amazing is that?! In conclusion: Just hire them! Seriously, I can't express how amazing of a job they did. They are worth every single penny and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more
