First of all let me say that this gentleman who does the floral arrangement does the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen! They are magnificent. Secondly, I called and ordered a beautiful arrangement for a Jewish funeral. I found out a few minutes later that it wasn't/isn't appropriate to give flowers for a Jewish funeral. I tried to cancel and they refused. They have allowed me to use a credit of over $200 at another time before the end of the year. I have no close friends here and no relatives so for me this wasn't a good resolution. I ended up paying a company to place 5 trees in Israel as a remembrance. It is my opinion that when I told the person who took the order it was a Jewish funeral, that they should have suggested I don't get flowers. LAST MINUTE EMERGENCY: I called on Tuesday afternoon at 4 pm for a Casket Spray needed for my 17 yr old bonus sons funeral which was at 8 am Friday in Temecula..... I really didn't think they would be able to do it but they said they could. I asked if we could pick it up at 6:30 am since we had to go an hour away, they said YES they would be there (even tho their hours are 8-5) Then on Wednesday morning we walked in to see if by any chance they could do a couple of standing sprays also to match and Michelle said "Of course". Thomas had already started creating the most BEAUTIFUL arrangement and said he would love to make the other sprays for us. Michelle said "do you want to come see it so far" It was amazing! Then on a Thursday Michelle called and said Thomas wanted to throw in the banners for each arrangement for FREE. I said "I hate to ask but is it possible to pick up any earlier because we need to be there earlier" Thomas said they would be there at 5:45 for us to pick up the flowers. we pulled up at 5:45 am on Friday morning and Thomas was outside waiting for us. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful arrangements and the thoughtfulness of Thomas to wake so early for us. My wife and I had a COVID-19 wedding about a month ago and Thomas and the rest of the Oak Valley Florist crew made it possible! We planned the entire thing in about 3 weeks and as those of you who are planning, or have planned a wedding know, life gets so crazy during that time. The last thing we wanted to worry about was all of the minor details of flowers, music and everything in between- especially because of the time crunch we were in. After shopping around for a florist, and several flower shops later, one of our friends recommended that we talk to Thomas at Oak Valley Florist. After meeting with Thomas, we had a conversation about our wish list, theme and price range. Thomas was pretty much able to map out exactly what we had envisioned. We could tell instantly, by Thomas' professionalism, knowledge and creativity, that this wasn't his first "rodeo" and that made us feel safe. We didn't have to wait to talk about whether or not we would go with OVF or a different florist, there was no deliberation- we knew instantly that we were going to be choosing Oak Valley Florist to do our flowers for our wedding. The day of the wedding, Thomas and the rest of the Oak Valley Florist crew showed up to the venue and started decorating. The attention to detail in every center piece and arrangement was incredible. They even sprinkled random flowers on the gift table, dessert tables, cake table, and other tables around the venue. That was an extra that we were not expecting but really tied everything together and put the elegance and charm over the top. Everyone kept on talking about how beautiful the flowers and roses were! Honestly guys, I could keep taking about how great a job they did but instead I've uploaded some of the pictures. My hubby and I celebrated a pretty big anniversary this year, since he was at work during the day and wasn't able to be with me he had flowers delivered. Plump buds that opened in beautiful flowers. They were perfectly arranged and a beautiful deep red that stood out against the greenery. They lasted for about a week, and even when they started to wilt they still looked pretty. Not shriveled and nasty like roses usually get.
