My case was very hard and had been long and drawn-out, but she was able to bring things to a long-awaited close. She, and her staff, were available for my questions, and to make sure I always knew where I was in the process; as I had been with another attorney prior to her that left me in the dark, this was a gift to me. Any court proceedings or dealings with the judicial system are emotional and confusing for someone like me, and she made the process something I could deal with. We were able to get thru the event without going to court, which saved me money and a lot of heartache, and for that I'm grateful. Mediation was the route we took, but, Melissa was ready to go to court if necessary. I feel she fought on my behalf and ultimately that was what I needed in my lawyer. I felt I had lost in the marriage but I did not walk away feeling like a loser thanks to this firm and the whole staff. Nobody wins in a divorce, in my opinion... But, a good lawyer can help you end things as fairly as possible.
