The food is great! Albeit greasy, but maybe you should know that before coming in to dine. It's deep fried, all of it, so it's well... going to be greasy! The chips are friend to perfection, crispy and fluffy all in one. And the fish was in a nice light batter that carried the fish just so. So where else would I suggest other than Ches's. I didn't catch the name of our server, but boy was she ever friendly. A very approachable individual with an excellent attitude. Even the lady who offered us a mini cupcake was very nice; making jokes and teasing us with cheerful banter. My colleague enjoyed speaking with the ladies so much that he opted to purchase a desert. We both ordered a two (2) piece fish and chips with dressing and gravy on the side; plus a can of Pepsi and an Orange Crush to drink. We took our meal to go and it was about twenty minutes or so before we actually got to eat, but neither of us were disappointed. Although I have tried to stay away from deep fried foods recently due to high cholesterol, my meal was a pure joy to eat. It was as good as I remembered from the last time I ate at Ches's; even if I did feel a little guilty about eating greasy food late in the evening (it was a little past 9:30 pm before we got to eat. If I were to complain about anything it would be nothing about the food or the service we received. I enjoyed my meal, but I don't remember the price being as much as it is now compared to the last time I ate at Ches's. Personally I think $20.00 plus change was a little steep for what we ate.
