I'm not sure why there's only a 3 star rating - so I'm here to boost up what I think is a great place to purchase RV parts. I've stopped in there numerous times, the shop keep has always been helpful and offered good insight, both with treating septic tanks, replacing vents, water proofing advise, batteries that will hold up in aggressive cold weather winter camping. I recently upgraded my truck camper and the fridge didn't work, they sold me a part that I could return that they used in house for their own troubleshooting - I appreciate that and the guidance as it helped me diagnose my issue. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my RV in to them for service if I needed to. In the meantime, Hobo is my goto place for everything RV as the pieces/parts I needed have always been in stock, and I've been happy to get my items ordered and pick them up later. Use to be a great place but not any more. # times ive taken in to fix leak in roof, 1500 later and still leaks, never go the extra mile

Brutal service. Went in for step repair and switch replacement. They wrecked the alternator, blew all the fuses and still charged me $650. Owner hides in back and holds rvs hostage. Would not recommend for anything. read more

I am giving 1 star for not doing the work they said they were going to do remove 3 bottom panel and paint also repair all rotten wood in the area remove lights and small door and all trim 4 x7 for $1025.00 plus GST They only repaired 2.5 by 7 ft. of panel and charges me the same price $1050.00 they wore going. I left my motorhome in mid to late September and told Brent the OWNER he had all the time he need as long as I have my Motorhome ready by May long weekend . I ask him to do some other work but he did not even try and look at it He keep say he was really busy. My son pick up my motorhome and paid for it. I have been in and out of hospital because I have cancer if I was not in the Hospital at the time I would of notice the work that was not done. it is todays experience that got HCC (Hobo Camper Country) this review. I needed a side vent cover for a tent trailer. They did not have it in stock, and would need to order it, so in good faith I pre-paid for the order on my Mastercard. On my way to the doctor I stopped in at ArrKann RV who had the same part for 50% less. I called HCC to inform them and cancel the order since they have to place it with their supplier anyways. (sale transaction @9:59am, called @11:00am, refund transaction@11:31am) For my courtesy that they didn't have excess stock on hand they charged me 10% restocking fee (very generous of them since it's 20%). the explanation was MasterCard charges them for the sale and refund. Any competent retailer knows a credit card sale isn't final until the terminal is closed out at the end of the day, and the transaction could have been easily voided with no fees involved. I'm sure HCC may have provided good sales and service to someone (not me). It would be nice if owners/operators knew their own sales systems instead of blaming Mastercard to scam a few dollars. read more

Why is it that only disgruntled customers submit reviews? People are all different, what will please one person will piss off another. You can't please everyone all of the time. My family has been dealing with HCC for over 30 years. My parents took their RV there and my own family takes their RV's there. HCC has always provided timely, quality service on our RV's/Trailers in the past. They are not a storage facility for your RV, space is limited so they cannot always keep everything in stock, they try to get your RV serviced and back to you as quickly as possible without compromising the service. Customers too need to be patient and respect the people who serve them. One day when I was in picking up my RV, another customer came into the store spouting a bunch of jiberish, pounding his fist on the front desk demanding service. The girl was busy taking care of me so she told him he had to wait until she was finished with me. He got more irate and started shouting at her demanding to be served, the girl was so scared she was shaking. The owner heard this commotion and immediately told the guy to get out of his store, which he had a right to do because he was concerned about the safety of his other customers and staff. I will continue to deal with HCC because they are a small family business with family values who really care, not the big operations with big fancy facilities who can afford to cut their prices because they can buy large inventories. People, if you are happy with your service, leave a review for HCC. read more

Meh, needed parts got attitude. went somewhere else got looked after.

My father took his motorhome in to get the Antenna and Brake Controller repaired. He was told it would be about $350.00. When the motorhome was picked up 2 weeks later he was given a bill for over $900.00. They didn't contact him to let him know what they were going to charge him before the work. I have had to fix the connection on the back bumper as they didn't even have it sealed, the wires would have been exposed to the weather. This is incredibly poor workmanship. With this business it is defiantly BUYER BEWARE. read more
