I think there's another location in Saratoga, and the owner also owns the furniture store up the road....along with a local restaurant. They have a frequent shopper points situation for discounts at one of the multiple locations. They're located in the same section as the Merrell outlet.

Delivery was exactly when he told us it would be and his men got 4 beds and a kitchen unit carried in (second floor for all!) and set up in a half and hour. When I am ready to buy more furniture I am definitely going to Livingston's! Thanks for such a great experience.

Even though Home Depot is across the street, St Andrews is my go to for whatever I'm looking for. Their depth and breadth of hardware makes finding the hard-to-find hardware a sure thing. As a bonus, their collection of gifts and local décor is fun to browse and their Christmas display is not to be missed. Love this store!

A friend told me about their books. She made sure to let me know that it's a hodgepodge of items, with prices for new books on par with garage sale pricing or less. That was spot on, and I just happened to time it when they had gotten a large shipment of books in, with some mainstream authors like Katee Roberts and Tessa Bailey in there. I ended up with a stack of 5 hardcovers and 1 paperback for under $30. But I recognize the luck of that, so I didn't test it any further by browsing any other sections, so I also really can't attest to the rest of the store. However the woman working the register was very nice, and she let me know shipments come in on Fridays, so weekends and Mondays are your best days to shop after everything has been refreshed.

As a Canadian who experienced the Target disappointment a few years ago (they came in, bombed hard…read moreand closed within a year), I HAD to make my way into a Target US. Now this was more of an experience I was hoping for. For many of my American friends, they tend to rate this specific store "standard fare" well it may be standard for them but for me the selection and pricing was fab! Lots of things to find, if you have the mind to search for it all. Shelves were often bare which made you think if they actively worked to make sure they replenished stock quickly enough. Spending time here allowed us to find quite a few neat things, for sure! There was a staffer working with a leg cast, to which I had to shake my head at. Good ol' American health care system. No express lane, which is dumb given it's 2019 and sometimes folks just need 1-2 things and should have to wait behind folks with full carts.

So when I stopped to check out one, of course I had to also stop to check out the other. The Wood Carte is so large it's like a rustic Amish furniture museum. To upgrade from my current kitchen table and four chairs, I'd have to spend over $2,000 at The Wood Carte. It's on my wishlist. There's also plywood furniture at The Wood Carte 2 located nextdoor. The staff is very nice. Even though they realize that you're just looking they try to be helpful because you never know. That's a great approach when you're in retail. When I'm ready to upgrade, I'll know where to go.
