Very large footprint TJ Maxx. Large aisles. Clean store. Easy parking. This store has plenty going for it. See above. What it's missing is lots of merchandise. It felt thin to me. Shelves not all full. But it was ok. Some aisles blocked with boxes and the like. Perhaps a function of early morning shopping I'm not sure.

    Big, neat organized aisles

Robert the manager was completely rude. I asked him questions while I was at register seven. He was loud and very rude!

There's a new place in the food court (Salty Dogs) and a second looks about to open up. Dick's, Healthy Living, JC Penney and Homework seem to be doing good business. And--important--the mall is clean and well maintained. There are even live plants in the public spaces. Still, the glory days of the mall (and malls in general) seem to be over. Bon Ton, the movie theater and Sears are gone for good. But Wilton Mall seems to be holding on. Maybe it's not a bad idea to turn the former Bon Ton area into an apartment complex, a controversial proposal. We could be like underground Montreal, living our lives out in the harsh winter without ever venturing outside. I come here to get my steps in when the weather keeps me from walking outside. Two circuits will do you nicely, and just one will give you some healthful exercise. Just watch out for the ubiquitous skinny guy on the posters who reminds us that mall going used to be a madcap social experience. Update: Yelp seems not to want to show my picture of the skinny on posters. Not sure why this is controversial. Walk the mall and see for yourself.

This was one of the most frustrating retail experiences I've had in a long time, and it felt like a…read moreclassic bait-and-switch situation. We placed an online order for bedsheets for in-store pickup at the JCPenney location in Wilton, NY, at a confirmed price of $52.42. We received no communication about the order all day and were only notified that it had been cancelled ten minutes before the store closed. The next day, we went to the store to understand what happened. The associate at the pickup counter told us the item was sold out. That statement was inaccurate. I walked about fifty feet from the counter and found the exact same bedsheet set on the sales floor, along with four additional identical sets still available. When we brought the item to the counter, the explanation changed. We were told the order may have been cancelled because it was considered a "doorbuster" and that the store would not honor the online price. When scanned, it rang up at over $75, more than $20 higher than the original online price. Another customer waiting in line immediately commented that the same thing had happened to her before and predicted they would refuse to honor the online price. We asked to speak with a manager to resolve what should have been a simple issue. We waited, and no manager came. When we followed up, we were told it would be another ten to fifteen minutes. The store was nearly empty on a Sunday afternoon, which made the lack of engagement even more frustrating. Based on both our experience and the confirmation from another customer in line, this location appears to have a pattern of cancelling online orders and refusing to honor advertised pricing, and it needs to be called out. This could have been easily resolved with basic customer service and management involvement. Instead, we were left feeling misled and dismissed. We will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to be cautious when placing online orders at this location.
