Ok, first of all, I love Hobby Lobby! However, I had an unpleasant experience today. Long story short, I had to return an item, so I went to the return line, meeting this female worker "Julia M, (but workers called her Julie)." Julia was a middle aged woman. As I was waiting in line, the customer (stranger to Julie) in front of us and Julie were having a long, extremely detailed personal, conversation about her recent marriage and how her new husband had an 8 year old kid. As it was my turn to check out, Julie's tone completely changed. She immediately told me how she was so tired and frustrated from working, as she HAD to tell me about how her shift started at 11 (and it was only 3pm). I go to Hobby Lobby all the time, and in fact, I even went last week. However, this was the first time I experienced such bad service from an employee. She took her frustrations out on a complete stranger and wouldn't let me return (with a receipt) and buy another item on sale at the same time. Luckily, I went back to the store where my new item was and found an employee who let me complete my transaction, forcing Julia to check us out! Julia was very passive aggressive, sighing really loud, pushing my item very harshly, and speaking rudely to me. Hobby Lobby is a great store, but sometimes you encounter a very terrible, yet interesting, visit. read more
