Do not shop at this store. If I could give negative stars, I would. From the moment you walk in, it's obvious the employees are being treated terribly. You can see it on their faces. It's disturbing. I attempted to speak with an employee about it, but they looked genuinely afraid and refused to say anything. I've heard for years about Hobby Lobby being an unethical corporation that exploits its workers, but I never fully understood until I finally got someone to talk. Employees are reportedly not allowed to have water at their stations, and their scheduled breaks are frequently denied or delayed by over an hour. This is a blatant disregard for employee health and should be illegal. On top of that, employees are often not allowed to leave when their shift is supposed to end. For example, if a cashier's shift ends at 4:00, there is often no relief cashier in the building until that exact time, meaning they cannot step away from their register. Even then, supervisors reportedly require them to stay and recover or restock parts of the store before being allowed to leave. It is not uncommon for someone scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. -- already an extremely long shift, especially without proper breaks -- to be forced to stay until nearly 9:00 p.m. People deserve lives outside of work. How do you plan time with your spouse when you never know when you'll be allowed to leave? How do you explain to your child that you missed their school recital because your boss forced you to stay under threat of losing your job? This is not a Christian company. This is not a family-friendly company. This is an unethical corporation that should be held accountable for how it treats its employees. Shame on you, Hobby Lobby. read more

I didn't begin roaming the aisles of Hobby Lobby until I moved from the west coast and saw a lot more in closer proximity. Any one who has been here, knows that is an amazing store full of wonderful. This particular location was huge, clean and super gorgeous as others I've seen. Go Owasso! I love the fact that it is Christian company. I saw many devotionals, books, bibles, calendars, and knick knacks expressing the love of God...and I LOVE THAT! So awesome to not have to separate even while shopping, and know that my purchases are sowing into a cause that I am with! Team Hobby Lobby anywhere honey...and Owasso is no different. read more

Wow, Owassa doesn't have many reviews, or maybe this area is new. Anyway....I needed a needle and black thread, bad, and Hobby Lobby was there. It's a nice Hobby Lobby. I was surprised by the amount of cashiers and open lines, instead of one cashier, and a line of 20. It's a well stocked Hobby Lobby, with lot's of knitting items, needlework (I didn't dare go down the aisle much, cause Tulsa has a destination store for needlework enthusiasts. ) I didn't dare go down the cake decorating supplies, it'd make me miss home and baking. But there is a nice fabric department. Oh and, you should see the bridal department, the bows and, okay, cake decorations, are so shiny. Nice amount of magazines of every type of craft. I was impressed. I still don't care for the closed on Sunday thing, cause it's normally Sundays when I get stuck on something, and need Hobby Lobby open. 4 stars. Lot's of cashiers, clean aisles. Got what I needed, and left without a line. Edit: I need to change this to 5 stars. They have absolutely every Wilton's product, even the impossible to find large couplers, and nonslitted couplers. read more

However, I've never been able to find anyone to help me find something. Employees tend to be closer to the entrance and not in the back aisles. If you've been to one Hobby Lobby, you've basically seen all they have to offer. Each store sells the exact same items, which is great because I hate when I go into a chain retailer (Target, Walmart, etc) looking for an item I bought at another location and they don't carry it. On that same note, they've had the same style/selection of picture frames and decor lining the middle of the store my entire life. A few changes here and there, but basically the same themes. This location was clean and tidy. I checked out the holiday section (tiny Halloween section, b/c they don't believe in it), a row of fall/Thanksgiving decorations, and several rows of Christmas tree decorations with a small selection of fake trees. They have Christmas stuff out in the store at least 7 months out of the year (hubby used to work at Hobby Lobby - he says they get Christmas shipments in March!) so don't freak out if you see a Christmas tree in July. Good fabric selection, and tons of art supplies! Large frame area, which is good because even their most expensive ready to go frame is probably cheaper than their custom framing. You can spend a pretty penny if you go custom. I saw several employees near the front of the store, but not really anyone was walking around in case someone needed help. They need help buttons set up around the store, or something on their app. :) Speaking of the app, make sure to download it for their 40% off coupons - on regular prices items only. Most of the store is covered in "sale" signs, but sometimes you get lucky and get to use it. read more

I have always loved Hobby Lobby stores no matter where I go. This Hobby Lobby has my business forever after today for sure. I was in the store 10 minutes before closing trying to find legal pads (which I had already been unable to find at two previous stores) and the manager(Donnie) brought me three of his own because they don't sell them! I mean, legal pads aren't super critical to have, but I was so glad to have them bc I really didn't want to go to a fourth store to find them. Love this place and the people working there. read more

I'm in this store anywhere from 3-8 times every week. I'm familiar with the entire crew that works at this store. It's hard to find a lineup of more helpful folks that care about your particular needs.. I buy everything from model rocket supplies, jewelry making stuff, and kids crafts, to having expensive custom framing for my photography works. I'm going to address the framing dept. since this is a big part of Hobby Lobby and it is where I spend many hours. First, I have a suggestion. ALWAYS check the stores specials on framing online. Although their custom framing is always 50% off (which I can't stand). It's just silly not marking their custom prices down 50% so every now and then they can have a real sale. Now, on their "ready made frames": Very often they are marked 50% off, but about half the time, they are full price. Obviously this is a huge difference you must look for. Since I sale my work, it means night and day differences in profit. Know that you will almost always be in good hands when handing your objects needed framed over to good hands. Unfortunately, I must address the exception. The lady who actually manages the dept. (luckily is not usually the first face you see) is the one person I will not let near my work. Not only will she recklessly handle and get her paw prints on your work, she is NEVER delighted to see anyone. I do not know her personally, merely enough to know she does not like customer service and has botched the two pictures she framed for me, which had to be done over by her wonderful Staff. Trent, Miles, and Dylan are three young guys that are so eager to help me get a frame and matting that compliments my work, discuss different options (custom framing, or possibly saving money with a ready made frame). Another HUGE problem I have is the fact they only do dry mounting once a week. They have the machinery to do the work at the store, but if you want a photo or poster dry mounted you are put in a que and it will be two weeks until you get your stuff back. They should have someone doing this (dry mounting is an absurdly easy process that should be done on sight daily. One employee working daily is all it would take. So, I refuse to have anything dry mounted there. It's too bad that I'm now mostly using this process with my work, thus taking business elsewhere. Still Hobby Lobby in Owasso is a great place to be. read more
