It's not the store's fault... I ordered a bookcase from Ashley In Jeff City. Being the tail end of…read moreall the shenanigans from the last couple of years, I was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. After a long wait, I was informed that my bookcase was finally in. I went to pick it up and brought it home, only to find hidden damage to three of the main pieces. I contacted the store manager, Doug, and let him know of my dilemma, and another bookcase was ordered. A couple of weeks later my new bookcase came in, and this time, when I went to pick it up, I had Matt, the shipping manager open it up to inspect the pieces and SURPRISE the exact same pieces were damaged. So Doug promised, ON HIS VACATION to drive up to the warehouse in KY and pick up another. True to his word, a week later he did, dropped it off at the store while he was still on vacation, and I got the call to come pick up the third bookcase. Once again, Matt helped me take that one out of the box and SURPRISE SURPRISE this one was damaged as well. What are the chances? 3 outta 3 broken in the boxes! Quite dismayed, Matt assured me that when Doug got back from his vacation we would come up with a solution. Doug called me, apologizing and promised to personally deliver my bookcase, fully assembled, the next week. And sure enough, I now have a lovely bookcase added to my living room. While they have issues with their transporting of this product, the STORE, Ashley Homestore of Jefferson City went out of their way to do everything possible to make me a happy customer.

It took weeks and several calls to get someone here. He took the chair apart and said he would try to order new parts. The repair company - Furniture Pros - is not local. We heard nothing for weeks, weren't even sure parts WERE ordered. Several calls to Lovin's and emails/calls to Furniture Pros and finally parts were shipped to us. Then we had to schedule a time for repairman to come. They just tell you what day, no time frame. He replaced ALL the mechanics in the "new" chair. So much for product quality control! Every time I called Lovin's they said all they could do was email someone, they didn't have a phone number. Will never go back here again, and neither will our relatives!

Since it's new the store is very clean and all the shelves/racks are full. Some items were reasonably priced while others seemed high; know what's a good price and what isn't if you go. Decent sized parking lot and wasn't overly crowded when I went. Definitely a good spot if you're in need of sporting goods, and better than Dick's in my opinion.

There were several people in front of me at the cash register. Another cash register woman opened her cash register so I went to that register. I was getting my colas out of the cart and the black woman at the newly opened register said I would have to wait because she said another person at the previous register was ahead of me. It was more than obvious that absolutely no one was ahead of me. Yes, there were several people ahead of me at the first register but they had not made any attempt to go to the just opened register that I was in. The black woman motioned for one of the ladies that was ahead of me at the first register, that I had been in, to come to her register. I said to the black lady that this was the first time that I had been asked to wait for someone that was not in my line to be waited on before me. Such offensive and petty behavior of the cash register woman should not be tolerated by the management of Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree Employees at the Jefferson City Store need to get their ducks in a row, so to speak, and not be rude by showing partiality to one customer over another customer. It is my guess that if an employee will be rude to one customer that employee will be rude to other customers as well.
