It's not the store's fault... I ordered a bookcase from Ashley In Jeff City. Being the tail end of all the shenanigans from the last couple of years, I was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. After a long wait, I was informed that my bookcase was finally in. I went to pick it up and brought it home, only to find hidden damage to three of the main pieces. I contacted the store manager, Doug, and let him know of my dilemma, and another bookcase was ordered. A couple of weeks later my new bookcase came in, and this time, when I went to pick it up, I had Matt, the shipping manager open it up to inspect the pieces and SURPRISE the exact same pieces were damaged. So Doug promised, ON HIS VACATION to drive up to the warehouse in KY and pick up another. True to his word, a week later he did, dropped it off at the store while he was still on vacation, and I got the call to come pick up the third bookcase. Once again, Matt helped me take that one out of the box and SURPRISE SURPRISE this one was damaged as well. What are the chances? 3 outta 3 broken in the boxes! Quite dismayed, Matt assured me that when Doug got back from his vacation we would come up with a solution. Doug called me, apologizing and promised to personally deliver my bookcase, fully assembled, the next week. And sure enough, I now have a lovely bookcase added to my living room. While they have issues with their transporting of this product, the STORE, Ashley Homestore of Jefferson City went out of their way to do everything possible to make me a happy customer. read more
