I recently relocated to this area and this was my first visit to Main Street Merc. I was approached by Rachel to offer information about DIY paints. She was very informative on her selling speech but the lighting was very dark. I took paint samples painted on wood disks to the better lighted shop next door. Still unsure, I took recommendations from Rachel, and purchased $140 in a quart of paint, stain, 2 brushes, and wax. When I got home, I looked up the paint color on the DIY website and the color was more an electric teal than the color that it appeared to be in Stella Rose boutique. I contacted Rachel and asked to exchange the unopened quart for a neutral color and she refused. So buyer beware that this high end craft and DIY paint boutique does not exchange any product. For 2021, this is a very poor business practice. There are DIY vendors online that ship. This is an unfortunate lesson for me a newcomer, and future loss of sales for an antiquated business practice of Stella Rose Boutique.
