They had some folks "attempting" to direct traffic, not sure where they found them or if anyone had instructed them on how to do this job because it was chaos from the minute we pulled into the area. The prices were not impressive at any of the stores we visited. Disney was typically priced for any of their stores, Old Navy had better sales at our local store than the outlet, Toys R Us was a joke, Janie and Jack had a few good buys, shoe stores didn't impress us either. We had 2 younger children with us that were getting hot and very bored. I wish there had been a few more spots to sit and chill for them. Nike and Abercrombie had some decent buys. Overall, not worth the hassle trying to find a place to park, the stores were overly crowded, merchandise on the floors and not enough people working to keep the check outs moving at a decent pace. I love shopping here every other time I have been here so it must have been the time of the year that made it so underwhelming and yet overwhelming at the same time.

The mall is laid out in small strip mall segments so you have to cross a lot of traffic to work your way from store to store. It's difficult to move the car around because the lots are full. I was glad I had my "driver". The mall is clean with a Southern vibe. I saw one restaurant. I did not see mall maps to help me locate stores. Prices were pretty good in the stores that I entered. I bought a few things that I wasn't expecting to purchase.

I get there at 5:10pm and let them know I am there for an interview, they tell me to sit and wait. I wait for 40 minutes, 20 minutes past my scheduled interview, and no one is in sight and employees are on their phones not bothering to pay attention to the man waiting for damn near an hour. All I needed was an answer to items not marked. Employee later identified as "Deon," was helping everyone in line. Giving them advice on store sales etc. Couldn't have been nicer. I was ready to leave because of the lines and not many workers, how many do leave Belk? After being tended to by Mr Deon I realized I was supposed to be here this day. This was the first place I had stopped in my attempt to buy some luggage. Success, I got a great price and even better I met a truly awesome worker who cared.
