They seemed to be caring for plants most of the time we were there. We were not standing around long when approached by a nice lady willing to assist us in whatever we needed. We explained that we were discussing how/where we could plant some plants that we liked. They couldn't help us with that. Shortly after we figured out what to settle on when we were also approached by a nice, friendly man also. We really liked the quality and selection here. The people were very helpful. We also walked over so they held our purchase until we came back with the car. They bagged them up in plastic bags to protect my car carpet. I wish they weren't 4 hours from where we live.

I've had U.S. Cellular service for years. I cringe when my cell phone starts "dying" as I know the…read moreforthcoming pain of long lines and learning about new plans as my current plan is always "no longer available". I postpone the frustration as long as possible. Two years ago I was pleasantly surprised to experience the customer service of Whannel's U.S. Cellular (Traer, IA) during a phone replacement. Though it was a bit out of my way, it was definitely worth it. Pleasant, knowledgeable service. I didn't feel rushed so they could get to the next customer. I felt our account was set up in the best way to maximize savings. At some point during the last two years we acquired a U.S. Cellular hotspot for home internet service. The transaction took place in a Cedar Falls, IA, store and once again, it was a frustrating process. A few weeks ago one of our phones started its death rattle. To start the education process we headed into a (different) U.S. Cellular store in Cedar Falls. I felt I had to pull information out of the salesperson. Details would surface only if we asked a question that specifically addressed an issue. I felt he was "lying by omission". I was less than happy. Then I remembered my previous experience with Whannel's U.S. Cellular. I knew where we needed to go. I called Whannel's U.S. Cellular to ask if they had the phones/colors we wanted and for the best time (empty of customers) to come in to the store. (Note: Whannel's is also the town's hardware store.) From the background-customer noise, I could tell I'd called at a busy time. He took my phone number and called me back. Yes, he had the phones we wanted. He suggested the most convenient time for us to come to the store. And, though I'd not asked, he'd researched our account before he called back and said he could save us at least $65 a month as our hotspot was on a "separate account" instead of being incorporated with our cell phone account and would also benefit by utilizing a shared-data plan. THAT'S what customer service is all about! I highly recommend Whannel's U.S. Cellular store...and they have a pretty cool hardware store too!!! Thank you! Michelle.
