Walked in with three items to frame & matte and was told "we cannot frame anything today." Of course, I didn't need them done today so I asked if they could be done in a month -- denied once again due to being "too busy with customers..." I've framed items at HL for years and never ran into any issues, but apparently quality service isn't a big deal for them. After reading other people's comments I wonder if I just have low expectations. I know things have changed within the store a bit the last couple of years, and the staff aren't quite what they used to be. There seems to be less staff, and they are all overworked. I buy a lot of fabric at this store--especially when it goes on sale. The prices are decent, the selection isn't quite as good as at JoAnn Etc, but they are very tolerant when I bring up 12 bolts and only need 1/2 a yard of each. There's lots of crafting choices for anything that interests you, but more importantly I don't feel like I'm being price gouged. The pricing is really, really good, and they have some really good sales. I agree with other posters regarding the cashier lines...those are really long, but what I have noticed is that its primarily during certain times of the day and for what season people have decided to decorate or craft. Everybody heads to the cashier at the same time it seems, and that's even when every register is staffed (almost as bad as going to Trader Joe's). I've never had any of the staff be rude, but I know that when the store closes these folks are still working after dealing with sometimes demanding and rude customers too. Overall, it's a great store and I always seem to get good value for my dollar. read more

Just had ANOTHER BAD experience at this store. The staff will tell you the general area for the item you're looking for, but they seem irritated to have been Interrupted. And the LONG line to check out... 5 ladies in blue vest up in front, one register open. When they finally open another, it's a race to get there. How hard is it to say, "next in line?" Other people ran to the front of the new line. I waited forever and then the cashier made sarcastic comments because I was frustrated... her final "have a blessed day," on my way out was just mean. I sincerely like Hobby Lobby. Does it help that I live across the street from this store? Yes. Does it also help that you can show your 40% weekly coupon on your iphone, rather than having to keep up with that tiny piece of newspaper? Yes. And does it help that they have a consistently good selection of scrapbooking supplies, paper goods for parties, silk flowers, seasonal decor, and other craft items? Of course it does. If you are a scrapbooker, they have one of the best selections of letters and 3-D embellishments anywhere. If you are searching for disposable party votives, this is your place. And there is a great assortment of cookie decorating accessories, floral supplies, and framing in case that's your bag. And unlike some other stores, I have never had to navigate around boxes awaiting stocking, abandoned shopping carts, or displays awaiting set up at Hobby Lobby. I appluad this chain for continuing to be closed on Sundays, so their employees can attend church, and I hope they do. And if you need another reason, and why in the world do you, this is a great place to spend the 15-20 minute wait you wil have on a Friday or Saturday night if you are opting for Garcia's for dinner - a scenario I find myself in often. read more

The Fabric department is rude. I was shopping here with my mom and we were talking about how many feet we would need and the fabric rep runs up and says "that's what the bell is for" so hateful. We wanted to buy the whole bolt and she refused to wrap it back on the bolt for easy management. Then the cashier didn't want to give us a bag for the fabric. What is going on here? Honestly shocked at the experience I just had. I shopped recently with my toddler and infant. After waiting in line to check out, I headed toward the exit. A line of shopping carts with items to be shelved blocked the path to the door, and an older female employee was working on organizing the items. I was pushing my infant in a stroller with one hand, and holding my toddler in the other. The employee looked at me trying to get through, and completely ignored me. I said, "Excuse me, I can't quite fit through here with the stroller... mind if I squeeze by?" She rolled her eyes at me and said, "No, you need to go around." I was surprised by the response (all she needed to do was slide one shopping cart to the side for us to pass), but wasn't going to argue with her. I turned around to try and go the other way, but a line of customers checking out blocked any path the other direction. I literally stood there for a minute or two trying to explain that I couldn't go the other way and that I was trapped, but she completely ignored me. At this point, my toddler was crying and I was standing there flustered, just trying to leave the store! I finally pleaded with a younger employee nearby who easily moved one shopping cart to the side so that I could get by and exit the store. I'm shocked at the way this employee handled the situation. I won't be returning to shop here anytime soon. Wow. read more

I was returning one of craft stuff I bought online and had to return them because I had hand injuries, so I could not do any crafts for a while and I was like I am going to get some fall decoration instead.It was at night around 6:30 the manager was younger lady said they only can give me the store credit but all my items were not even passed a moth so non of them was even within 30 days 18 to 23 days has 3 receipts, I got the store credit that night but the next day I decided to call Hobby Lobby customer service and they told me she should not made me to do that unless the purchase passed 3 months, so she kinda locked and tricked me to it, the manager kept saying they got this rule that day. I was buying other stuff anyway why she thought she needed to do that. It is ridicules the way she acted with me. why hobby lobby advertise their return policy that if we are not %100 happy they are willing to refund, this was not a refund, false advertising. won't go there nor online anymore. read more

Great store overall but the framing Dept is where all my complements go. I wish I knew the lady's name that assisted me .If I find out, I will update my post. She is not only knowledgeable, but patient and does great work . She assisted me with picking out the best frameS for my painted picture of my dogs. I wanted a thick frame and one that would make the painting pop. She suggested a thinner gold frame for the inside and thicker frame surround it . LOVE IT. She also assisted in getting several of my dad's photographs that he took over the years remattes . Taking special efforts to not cover the signatures and years. read more

We were happy to know hobby lobby was near us (well kinda) we went there last night around 7pm. Store was nice but the workers seem to dip behind the scene whenever went needed a question, luckily we could find what we needed. Went to the checkout and tried to laugh a lil but the cashiers attitude seemed dry like the look on her face. Except for a young lady my wife and I enjoyed talking to about stuffed toy animals! I am such a fan of Hobby Lobby. Incredible selection and great prices. Specifically, their jewelry making supplies is really awesome and the prices are better than JoAnn's and Michael's. Hobby Lobby does private label whenever they can and then they pass those savings on to the customer. So, that's how they can sell 15 yards of ribbon for a DOLLAR. I mean, seriously? A dollar?! Used to be an avid customer of Hobby Lobby until shopping at this location! Customer service is poor - Not helpful let alone friendly. Don't try to be generous and pay for your mother's order because you will quickly be told by a rude clerk that you can't use the same credit card twice unless someone else swipes it for you, "It's store policy, I don't make the rule". Some might say that is not right or legal! For a store who touts themselves on Christian values, kindness, helpfulness, and politeness should be the norm. Normally I love this place. I shop here at least once a week. I attempted to return a pack of cardstock that I had used one sheet of in a cricut and it was too thick. (fully prepared for them to say no mind you) The manager was later running her mouth about me in the paper aisle as I shopped. The customer service from the girls at the front is wonderful, they're very friendly very helpful girls. That manager/shift lead on duty on 5/6/2022 at 6:00pm needs to be a little more discreet with her opinions and her hatefulness. I wasn't being difficult, I wasn't being hateful, I just took my paper back and started shopping. I let her talk about me for a while before I even said anything. I said my piece, bought what I had and left. That woman is leading disgraceful example for those younger girls. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 15 years, there is a time place and volume you should vent about what frustrates you. I love Hobby Lobby and their inventory. I also love the owners and what they stand for. However, my experiences with this particular store have been terrible. The employees all (and I mean ALL that I've encountered) act like you are a bother to them. I wish they had a better attitude to represent the great business they work for. I have spoke to the manager before telling him about a particular employee who wouldn't help me carry 12 large vases up to the front and just stood there even though I asked for help. The manager didn't seem to care at all and actually gave me the feeling I was a bother to him...maybe that's where the employees get it from. Either way I hope the employees and manager realize they are there to serve their customers and start showing it by improving their customer service skills. read more

Hobby Lobby is less than 5 minutes from my home but I will come here only if I ABSOLUTELY have to because customer service does not exist in this store. On several occasions I nearly had to beg these people for assistance. Today I walked in first at 9am looking for a particular clay. There were only 2 other customers in the store with me therefore it was not busy at all. I asked the 3 cashiers who were standing around chit chatting with one another about the location of the clay. They all pointed at different directions. When I asked if someone can walk me to the area where it's located they all again persisted in pointing in different directions. After walking around for 15 minutes I just left. I seriously doubt they I'll bother with these unprofessionals ever again. read more

I love Hobby Lobby and go there often. There is a serious difference in the Franklin store and any other Hobby Lobby I have visited. The staff always acts like you are an annoyance if you have questions and yesterday I was treated with more disrespect than I have ever experienced in my entire life. There was a miscommunication between a worker and I when making a return. I was under the impression that I was receiving a store credit however the return was made to an AMEX gift card. I went back up to try and resolve the problem. Never did I want to cause any problems; however, the way I was spoken to was literally jaw dropping. She basically called me stupid for not informing her of how I wanted to make the return and then yelled continuously "WELL MOST PEOPLE TELL YOU SOMETHING LIKE THAT." The way that she acted made me feel as though I was under attack. I was just trying to resolve the problem, for no other reason than to assure I knew where my money was being returned to and when I would receive it. The biggest shock was when I stepped out of line to speak to management, the worker began talking about me and the problem to various other customers she was checking out. It was so very trashy and exactly the opposite of what Hobby Lobby stores are suppose to stand for. I have never had any type of issue with customer service at any other stores and quite frankly felt very much embarrassed about how I was being treated and made out to look. I think the difference between the Franklin store and other Hobby Lobbys must be in the management because I have never seen anything like it at other locations. The sheer size of the store is breathtaking, and it's well organized with good selection on most things. This has been my first and last experience shopping at this particular Hobby Lobby. I was looking for a wall clock and the one I wanted was the last one like it on the shelf. I realized when checking out that the plastic casing around the battery compartment on the back was broken. I purchased the clock as "damaged" at a 66% discount, with hopes of repairing it. I took it home and nothing would make it work, so I returned it three days later. No problems with the return. HOWEVER, after shopping around for about five minutes I went back to the clock section to see about purchasing another clock, and they had put my broken, just-returned clock BACK ON THE SHELF to sell to someone else. They must have put the clock back the shelf immediately upon my returning it. They knew it was irreversibly broken, but were attempting to sell it to some unsuspecting person. I am astounded at their dishonesty, and will never shop there again. read more

I have been a loyal shopper but not anymore. I went to your store in November and purchased a model for $39.99 for my brother for Christmas. Dukes of Hazzard General Lee 1969 Dodge Charger the 1/16 scale is what I purchased. My brother didn't like it and I took it back to return it. I had lost the receipt so I expected store credit. When I went to return it they first refused to return it stating it was put on clearance 6 months ago which was a lie because I saw it on your website in November and bought it at the store over the Thanksgiving weekend. They tried searching my purchases through my cards but it had been purchased on a card that had expired and I threw out. I asked to speak with the manager and they sent the assistant manager to handle it and she was rude and then decided that she would take 40% off the $39.99 and make it a clearance item. There was no apology or anything. For a company that is supposed to be owned on religious values should be ashamed of themselves. read more
