I'm always up for an adventure, (as if my eye thing wasn't adventure enough) especially with any of my girls. Sure enough I said as she pulled into Treasure Village. Right from the get go I knew this place was going to be good. It had that musty smell. You know that smell when you walk into grandma's old house? Come to think of it, when I was young, and I first smelled that smell, I thought that it was grandma. But I soon found that It was old gold just waiting to be rediscovered. After poking around a bit I stumbled upon a real cool huge glass bottle. I've always wanted one of those. I said "hey Missy, check this out" I know, she replied as she was talking to a clerk. She spied it before I did. She was attempting to negotiate the price to a more favorable proposition. The clerk said that she'd have to call the gentleman who is selling it. So we went on with our treasure hunt. This store has a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs in it. Stuff is everywhere. Search closely to uncover a special find. We did and we found. I lost track of Missy somewhere in the labyrinth of rooms and aisles. When we met up again it was by the front counter. I asked if she heard from the seller of the big bottle. Missy said "I sure did daddy, happy father's day!" That girl made the deal and I am now the proud owner of a 13 gallon glass bottle. I love that girl! What am I going to do with it you ask? I'm going to fill it with coins of course. My 5 gallon bottle is full. Quick Tip: Be careful going up and down the stairs going up to the second floor. The steps are about half as wide as normal stairs are. I told my granddaughter that they were like this because back in the day women wore hoop skirts and had to go down the stairs sideways. Not only is there a ton of beautiful home decor and gifts (think Joanna Gaines/Fixer Upper style stuff) but also some clothing as well. Compared to similar boutiques in Franklin and Nashville, I found the prices to be very reasonable too. I will definitely be stopping by this store every time I'm in Columbia, because it just makes me happy. They tried very hard to walk opposite way of life like most people do in this world , they didn't use electricity ,tv, computer or vehicles , just ride a horse , that 's so simple .I stoped by the store infront of Hwy 43N name Amish Welcome Center 4001 Hwy 43N Etridge TN 38456 , which sale some Amish handmade like cookies and Amish handmade soap*** which is very nice to buy them because this is the best soap that I ever used in my life *** so help with skin so soft and smell so nice ( I bought gardenia and creamsicle which are really nice and I try to called this store again to buy more soap they sale $1.75 per 1 soap which is not expensive at all .I really hope that they will do ship to me as well ,due I live in GA and can't go that far to TN just to buy soap .I didn't have a chance to buy jelly jam from the Amish house because it is on Sunday and they not sale stuff on that day and they go to church and we saw their church as well but can't enter there because one of the teenager said that they didn't allow visitor to go in there church then we drove off that place to respect their living . I had to ask an Amish gentleman how do we shop, he said do you have a map? I said no, we're so lost. So I went in another welcome center and asked and got a map. The map shows who sells what and where. We picked up goat milk soap, grape jelly and banana nut bread, and grabbed pork skins at the Amish flea market..which only had the one Amish person. We ventured and Found stuff on our own.
