They post signs in large print that all items in a section are at discounted prices, but they put in very small print that you barely could see, that it's only certain specific items. When you go to pay not knowing, you get charged full price. They should post that not all the items are on sale. Was so disappointed!!!!! read more

Always check my receipt before I leave the store because I have been overcharged or not given the sale price. Saw that I had an item on the receipt for 19.99, and I did not purchase anything for 19.99. Had to take everything out and the cashier had to ring it up again, and as it turned out, I was overcharged $30. Cashier apologized, manager did not say a word. Spent an extra 20 minutes there trying to get it sorted out. They need to get a POS system to scan the barcode so your purchase is accurate. I have been overcharged in the past, but this is the last time. They have lost a customer. read more

So I came back to this hobby lobby because I needed wax seals. Unfortunately same experience with customer service as before except I witness it happening to the couple in front of me checking out- the cashier Nan(?) was incredibly rude about IDing them for spray paint, (clearly they were over 18) but I understand the job - she almost requested they BOTH present IDs lol. She then asked if they were purchasing an item that was clearly with the stuff they were purchasing? It was unusual to ask since it was literally in the pile of items on the counter. The male had to put some things back which is totally understandable and when he came back he mentioned to his wife they were "following him" which sounds ridiculous but I swear this store makes you feel like they think you're stealing! So I do not doubt that they were making these two feel that way as well. Then they paid with cash and Nancy checked every single bill even the $1's to see if they were counterfeit, I get that this is all probably part of her job but when you don't take a break and ask how someone is or make any effort at customer service it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. The woman manager was standing by the sliding doors the entire time, and someone actually asked why they stand there (you go person!) and the woman manager said "to make sure everyone gets lunch at the right time" in a jokey tone. I'm telling you- this place just comes across like they think you're a criminal and it's a freaking CRAFT store, cmon. Anyways- I had no issues with my interaction at the register but watching the people ahead of me be treated so poorly was sad. I really really wish they'd get their customer service skills in order because the prices and items are better (in my opinion) then other craft stores. read more

It was the most horrible experience ever. I was shopping had a handful of stuff. Did not have a cart, went to the ladies room Because I needed to take a glycerin pill for my heart. honestly didn't pay any mind to the merchandise in the bathroom policy but that really wasn't the main thing on my mind taking my pill was more important and really had to go to the bathroom. My bad. went in, dropped everything accidentally. A worker came in and yelled at me about no merchandise in the bathroom. I did apologize and explain that I needed to take my glycerin pill and she proceeded yelling that merchandise is not allowed in the bathroom. I picked up everything and I proceeded to leave the bathroom. Then I was followed throughout the entire store. one woman in the sewing department as I was looking around, rudely said to me can I help you with something And I said no and she said to me that I am wandering around the store. As far as I'm concerned, I was shopping not wondering. I explained to another woman that I needed to sort through my stuff and to see which items I was going to buy she took me up the front of the store so I could sort out what I needed as if I was a child being disciplined in the front of the classroom , I was followed throughout the store, no matter where I went. I was followed, felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. I was very upset crying having a panic attack due to this ordeal, needed to go to the bathroom and compose myself asked which direction the bathroom and she didn't even tell me she rudely said to me that I could not take merchandise into the bathroom. I told her I wasn't going to. She wanted me to leave it there with her. The bathroom was on the other side of the store and then expected me to go back to get my stuff and then go all the way back to the front and pay for it. They followed me to the bathroom even though I didn't have any merchandise on me. I handed my stuff to a very nice young lady to hold for me. Because of this whole ordeal, I had an anxiety attack and went into the bathroom to compose myself because I was very upset and they went inside followed me like I was a criminal. There were three women following me around the store. I asked them to stop following me and was very rude saying that they weren't I told one woman that she can check my purse. One of them rudely said oh we don't check purses so I told her to stop following me and she said that she was not. It's funny because everywhere I went in the store there they were. I've never felt so disrespected and treated like crap. I will never enter that store again and I did report this to corporate. Because of this whole ordeal, I had a anxiety attack which feels like a heart attack, I did go to the hospital to double check and make sure that my heart was OK and yes, it was. I understand they're doing their job but to be so rude like that was wrong I did apologize. I did pick all my stuff up off of the floor. It was the most horrific experience ever. I hope someday that they experience the ordeal that they put me through. I'm thinking on calling my lawyer and consulting with him to see if there is a case that's how bad this was This was the hobby lobby in Cape Coral, Florida. read more
