The business has been through several re-brands over the years so I must say I don't know the current owner but the staff are long serving. Kim, Shirley and Debbie are the ones to go to. Great service, skills and chat - even when you're hungover and getting a cut! All 3 are popular so you need to book in advance. As long as they stay whenever the next re-brand happens I'll be happy. Stack load of women's magazines to choose from if that's what you like. Comfortable waiting area.

Hair Rehab has replaced a badly lit salon that I never went to for this reason and has been transformed into a lux palace that will sort out any hair dilemma or style overhaul. I took my boob length blonde (ish) locks there and hoped for a new lease of hair life...I hadn't had my roots done for a year, yes a year...I was not laughed at but treated kindly by the lovely salon owner and senior most stylist/colourist...she gave me wine. Actual wine, in a glass and listened and showed me lots of colour options and helped my hair come back to its Californian girl look. She curled my looks as well at the end too. Loved. Good selection of mags, a waiting room that screams boutique and fabness and lots of lovely add ons, like massive TV, cool tunes, a nail bar, candles, sweets....basically heaven. My hair is long and thick and took ages to foil up and I never once heard a moan. Before Ive had right bitchy hairdressers who have made me feel like crap. So Defo gonna be more girlie/organised and try and go more often, I have promised to get a half head next time to mix it up a bit. and I can pop this on my loyalty card. Prices here are good also. Urban Roots may have given me the best cut I've EVER received. Skilled, thoughtful, friendly. I rarely find a stylist I love but yesterday I did. Overall everyone at the salon was friendly and it had a cool vibe. I can't believe I waited so long to give this place a try. I can't wait for my next visit. Vas has got to be London's best stylist...

Initially I was told 'it will lighten up as the toner washes out', but numerous washes later it still looks.... Exactly the same. The ends look maybe a hint lighter, but I've seen bigger changes in my hair colour just from spending more time in the sun. It doesn't feel great when you tell your friends you've had your colour done and the reaction is '...really, what did you change?' I understand that I was starting with coloured hair, but I have had it lightened before, starting with a much darker colour and a different salon was able to get it to platinum blonde in one session. Don't get me wrong, the team were really lovely and hospitable when I was getting the haircut done, and if all you need is a cut this place will do great. However, I don't think it is great customer service if I come back to explain the result still isn't as expected, and the solution offered is to just pay for another session. I will. Just not here. And for the record, if you are using foils, it's not a balayage. See the second sentence of the definition if you just google 'balayage'

The Italian colorist (Fabio) had worked there 3 weeks and did a decent job on the colour but really wasn't of confidence & the blow drying experience was horrific. I had picked this saloon because I wanted something new but left with the same colour Hair I came in with because he was very unispired with suggestions.... On a positive note, a lady with magic hands massaged my head during the toner stage.
