This place is amazing their service and knowledge is very valuable when it comes to German cars they know the ins and out of just about every car which is why I will always come to them when needed. The quality and time they put into working on my car is phenomenal. The parts they used is top grade OEM quality, don't expect cheap or after market parts because I highly doubt they will touch those stuff. Wow, hidden gem next to my workplace! Prices are great, they took me in the same day I called them, nice customer service. You can't really ask for much more. I never asked for a damn thing to be done w my spark plug wires. They were not laying on anything hot i never said "spark plug wires." Topic never came up about "msking any necessary adjustment, except for valve clearances. I wanted my valves adjusted thats it, and alao for someone to double check my vaccum lines as i had just properly installed them to make it pass smog..they were moved into the wrong positions by your 40 year expert. My car STILL isnt right because now the choke never comes on either. Your expert has the same classic car albeit not as nice. Hope he got his car running better w parts off my car. I got it running decent again much better than when it was returned. Amicable? You already knew i drove 70 miles to your shop. Your remedy was for me to drive back down again and let the same idiot who jacked my car up have at it again. Not an option. Hey people, i went to this shop because of the good reviews. I own a 1995 E36 M3 and from my very first experience speaking with Josh over the phone, I knew that this was a place I could trust. Owning an older BMW can be troublesome at times, but Josh at HMB Motorwerks has made my ownership experience worthwhile. My plan was to have major maintenance items taken care of while also focusing on a track inspired street build. You would be hard pressed to find a shop like HMB that is willing to take the time and discuss plans for your car. I have spoken to other mechanic shops over the phone, was a long time customer at an independent BMW shop, but none of them had the enthusiasm, knowledge, and the honesty that HMB possesses. I have had everything from an oil pan/ valve cover gasket to a full on suspension rebuild involving bushings, subframe reinforcements, and coilovers installed at HMB. All of these jobs were completed successfully and I couldn't have been happier with the results. I've taken my E92 M3 in for: rod bearings, oil pan replacement, engine mounts, rear subfram bushings, upgraded sway bars, dif. Bushings, final drive upgrade, front LCA bushings, and a specific 4 wheel alignment (which he does old school ). He is highly knowledgable when it comes to upgrades in terms of how they will affect/ benefit your BMW. During the installation, he let me know that one of the parts was manufactured incorrectly. He could have just installed the supplied parts and be done with it. I have the last naturally aspirated generation m3 (E90, ZCP and 6MT!) a very hard find nowadays. I am no 'baller', I bought this car used and it is my baby lol. I did a lot of research prior to buying this car and knew I wanted to keep it forever. With that said I wanted to make sure that any jobs that were out of my hand I wanted a solid shop to work on it. I searched around Yelp and am also part of an Norcal M group to see my options and this shop was referenced. I needed to get my brake fluid changed and although I could have done it myself, il be honest I am not well versed or have enough expertise to take on this job. I am a more visual person and I did what I could research on YouTube but didn't find a detailed enough source. Not ALL guys HAVE to be good at cars. Remember that lol. I dropped by on a Monday and was scheduled for this service the following Friday for a great price. This service was a 'test' for me to see how the shop operates and communicates with the customer. I met the owner Josh and hes a pleasure to talk to and deal with. Hes very courteous and honest. VERY knowledgeable and he knows what hes doing. He has a 1st gen m3 (e30) and its beautiful!
