I did really like how quick the meal was - all over and done with in essentially 90 minutes. Also appreciated the no-fuss casual setting, and the chefs all had humor. Now getting to the food - the courses were very small and most were just okay. We left not full which to me is an issue for a Michelin rated restaurant. The skill sets were also not entirely there for a supposed top notch sushi restaurant. Several of our sushi pieces had rice falling apart from the mold, which is a huge no no. If you are very versed in sushi would not recommend this. However, if you are new to a mikae, this could be a good experience.

The reviews on this place seem all over the place. But for me, I thought it was very good. As of…read morethe time of this review, Sushi Sho still holds its Michelin star. Coming from NYC, I have access to superb sushi, so when when my friends wanted to come here I have to admit I was not overly eager using a meal in Sweden that I thought I could get back home. However, I am totally glad I came! The omakase was excellent. Appreciated that Chef Ishizaki is still the main person behind the bar and assembling most of the nigiri and dishes. There are plates/dishes mixed in, so not just sushi pieces. The cured egg yolk was fabulous. Wonderful sake list, and you can opt for a pairing if you like. At the end you can add on extras (notably otoro, which is not part of the regular omakase) - it was great, as they prepared it three different ways. A very decadent way to end the meal. Majority of seats are at the bar, but they have one elevated table along the window with a view of the restaurant (kind of like stadium seating). We actually sat here, and loved it. There's more room, next to the window, but still relatively close to the sushi counter. We had a dedicated server who was absolutely fabulous. Reservations are needed.

Absolutely loved this place!…read more It's super cozy inside with a front and back room, we ate in the back room where there's a few medium tables and a couple small tables. We made a same day reservation for two for 7pm and were able to walk right in when we arrived. We ordered the fried chicken tacos to start and they were so delicious! A perfect small bite. We ordered two rolls and the 8 piece to share between the two of us which was more than enough. The eight piece was light and delicious, the tempura spicy roll was the absolute favorite, I would come back just for that. The roll with pineapple was good but a bit too much pineapple, but still really good. The service was so friendly and gave us great recommendations - definitely recommend this for any night for either low key food and drinks or a cozy date.

I went to devil sushi on a Thursday for dinner. Inside the atmosphere is intimate and cosy…read more I ordered the 10pieces of sashimi and had to choose between "standard" or "lyxig". I was told the different has to do with the quality of the fish and I obviously then chose the lyxigt version, which was around 50kr more. My friend ordered the 14 piece of sushi with 10 nigiri and 4 maki. We waited around 45 minutes for the food with a half full restaurant. When I asked about the food I was told that the sushi and sashimi takes time to cut properly, and the waiter did not look minimally worried or apologetic. The quality of the fish was good although I wonder if the standards would be the same if I had ordered the standard and cheaper sashimi plate. Moreover, the food took way too long to come and overall I wasn't all that impressed.

It is a scientific fact that I can eat my body weight in burgers.**…read more (** not real science) So when I found out the spot that Yelp boasted had "the best" burgers in Stockholm was just a five minute walk from my airbnb? Glee. Pure glee. My visit was a short one and on this occasion, I didn't have time to sit in for dinner, but the call to burgerdom was strong and so I headed in this direction hoping they did takeaway. First relevant fact: they do takeaway. Walking in the door, I was greeted by a very nice woman and told that yes, I could order the burger to devour at home. Woohoo!! However, having seen the space, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to stay to eat. This room is right up my alley! Second relevant fact: this place is decorated like if a hipster and a lumberjack had a baby and that baby grew up to be rather posh and decided to open a restaurant. It's a nice blend of comfort and polish. I would have happily stayed to eat there, especially because i'm sure they had some interesting craft beer in the mix (I can't confirm this as I didn't see the drinks menu). But alas, I was on a schedule so after ten minutes, I grabbed my takeaway, paid the lovaly gal at the counter and skipped back to my place. Third relevant fact: for a city that is SO expensive to drink alcohol in, Stockholm is doing it right with food portions. This meal was a great size! With two sides and a sizable burger it was well worth the price. Also, I tip the hat to whoever found these takeaway boxes, because it keeps the food hot and separate - no messy sauce disasters here! But the million dollar question: how was the burger? Fourth relevant fact: Stockholm you boast a darn fine burger... but it's not taking the "best" trophy quite yet. Ok, so don't get me wrong - this is a GREAT burger! The pattie is sizable, well seasoned and well cooked (god bless you people who understand medium rare burgers!) and I very happily devoured the whole thing but I found the bun a little lacking on this. For burger with so much oophm, I would have liked a heartier bun. So it doesn't take my top burger honours but if I lived in the city, I would definitely make the trip for it and if I'm staying in the area again, i'd be back here with bells on!

I usually give 4 stars to places with super staff. I love the staff here!…read more But the food was mediocre and the place noisy. One hamburger and two beer = 350 sek. Pretty normal but nonetheless a hefty amount. So 3 stars. Gold star for having rubharb pie.
