I have to say that this was my best doctor visit ever…read more Dr. Marcus showed compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to help. He spent a great deal of time listening to my concerns in order to understand my condition. He also asked me a lot of follow up questions to pinpoint the root causes of my condition. He then explained to me, clearly, a therapeutic approach that includes lifestyle modifications and alternative options of treatments. He very well acknowledged my preferences of treatment options and tailored my treatment towards that. He finally advised me to see him again after a week to evaluate my initial response to the medicine. I really appreciate the whole-person approach that Dr. Marcus has used with me. I, therefore, highly recommend Dr. Marcus for anyone who struggles with a mental or psychological issue. You will thank me later. Day of visit: August 8, 2023 Sincerely, K. A.

He genuinely listened to my story and clearly explained what Ketamine therapy could do for me. Prior to that conversation I knew nothing about it but afterwards I felt comfortable enough to begin the course of treatment he recommended, and he and his office staff helped me to get an infusion appointment scheduled within a week. That included a meeting with third-party mental-health professional, as part of a screening process. I was in crisis; it is no exaggeration to say that Dr. Yee saved my life. I have continued receiving treatment from him ever since. Ketamine infusion therapy is not easy, and it's not for everyone, but it has been, by far, the most effective treatment for my major depression that I have ever had. Dr. Yee takes his commitment to my health and safety seriously, and I recommend him at the highest level of confidence, without reservation.

Also, Dr. Yee is one of those rare physicians who actually takes time to answer patient's questions and does not rush or make you feel like you're inconveniencing him (compared to two doctors I have tried in LA who literally won't give more than 3-5 minutes of their time). I am eternally grateful to Dr. Yee, Stephanie, Nancy, and the entire team for guiding me on my journey towards a happy, healthier life. She will take time to listen to you, give you a good advise and send you to a specialist when needed. She will never try to force you into treatment or procedure even she feels it is desirable. Could it be better? Sure. You can feel the meter clicking. But that is not Dr. Tandetniks fault, but system problem. But so far it is the best PCP I have met.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tandetnik for almost three years and I'm extremely displeased…read more First of all, the office is extremely disorganized and the people who work at the front desk as well as the people who work the desk where payment is made are unhelpful, distant and at times, very rude. When making a call, I expect to be put on hold for at least 5 minutes and the receptionists never fail to sound hurried, hassled and the tone of voice that says "why the hell are you bothering me". As far as Dr. Tandetnik is concerned, I am unhappy because of her inability to listen to me and realize that I know my own body very well. Approximately 18 months ago, I had blood tests that showed differentials between my numbers and the acceptable numbers. These dealt with the thyroid and kidneys. I was told not to worry and that it really did not mean anything and that in order for me to understand I would have to know something about each of the other tests within the blood work. Dr. T put me on meds (generic) and I stayed on those meds for approximately 15 months. During that time my levels remained the same and so it was obvious that the medication was not working. I requested that she give me the brand name medication and also asked to be referred to an endocronologist for either a cat scan or MRI of the thyroid. She told me that it wasn't necessary. Meanwhile, my thyroid levels were to out of whack that I was told that for all intent and purpose, my thyroid was basically not working. I finally told her that if she did not give me the referral then I would find another doctor. I was referred to an endocronologist who put me on the brand name medication and sent me for a CT scan of the Thyroid. As it turned out, I had a node on my thyroid. I then had a biopsy and thankfully it was negative. My thyroid is now normal due to the correct medication and my new doc has scheduled me for another biopsy in six months. As if that was not enough, at the time that I had the blood tests I just spoke of, there was a differential in the kidney analysis. She said it was nothing. I insisted on seeing a nephrologist and bottom line...I have IGA Nephropathy. Had I listened to Dr. T and not acted as my own advocate, who knows what might have happened. She has been good and efficient about refilling prescriptions and follows up with phone calls when she receives a message. Where I have experienced a problem is in receiving the results of tests in an efficient manner. I most often have to call and even then it can take another week or so. In short, I would not recommend Dr. T nor would I necessarily recommend the practice though I have not seen any of the other docs.

Their offices in Arlington are a bit of a trek for those using public transportation, but the quality of care is excellent. Some clinicians even offer nighttime appointments which help for those trying to come after work. The only con is that the offices are a bit dated and I hate calling in to an automated telephone system. They take care of all billing and are very responsive. I originally became a patient as my PCP had difficulty understanding the drug interactions of some medications. I wanted to coordinate my care so that one doc could manage my medications and therapy in one visit. Unfortunately, therapy and med management are separate visits. However, it was nice to finally have both docs under the same roof! Plus, the docs I saw weren't not only knowledgeable, but they were also kind and accommodating. Dr. Orleck (psychotherapy) is has a peaceful demeanor, and is caring and compassionate. She offers real-world advice that helps inspire and reassure you at the same time. Dr. Onofrei provides ADHD assessments via questionnaire and office visits. There were a total of 3 visits, lasting about 1hr each. Without his assessment their doctors cannot prescribe ADDHD meds. Dr. O is another kind soul who you instantly feel comfortable with. He offers 8pm appointments for those who work late. Dr. Simkowitz is very knowledgeable about drug interactions, has flexible scheduling (i.e. Early AM), and responds instantly to any email questions you may have. I felt reassured having him manage all my medications. If you're in Cambridge/Arlington area, then I'd def recommend checking out PCA.

If we can't get scheduling under control I'm not super confident in the output of putting my mental health in the hands of Psychological Care Associates. I filled out the form at the suggestion of my OBGYN, who recommended I talk with someone about a few post-partum issues that I had been having. The form was comprehensive and I was thrilled to get a call later that day! ...to my dismay, the admin who called me (who was very polite and who I enjoyed speaking with) was apologetic about not being able to work around my schedule. The rub is that they could not commit to a consistent time/day of the week for my appointments! I told them I could be flexible and available any time on Fridays or Tuesdays. When she called me back (after confirming with the director), she confirmed that they would not be able to give me consistent days/times, and couldn't even be sure they'd be able to give me enough advanced notice to make sure I could clear my work schedule! (And for what it's worth, I have a flexible work schedule with generous work from home time, and even then that was not enough.) For a practice that touts its' ability to help new mothers or working parents, this practice has shown shockingly little interest in being scheduling-friendly. On my second call, the admin was asked to refer me to their sister practice in *Lexington* - as Lexington had more availability - even though I live in Stoneham and work in Kendall Square in Cambridge and am already struggling with scheduling this appointment with any sort of week-to-week consistency, let alone tacking a 30-m drive on top of it. At the end of the call they were so unable to help me that I left with more anxiety than I started with, and I decided to look elsewhere for assistance.
