The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and never feels overcrowded. There's a great variety of equipment, so whether you're lifting, doing cardio, or taking classes, you're covered. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming--they make you feel comfortable no matter your fitness level. The trainers are especially great at offering help without being pushy, which I really appreciate. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It's motivating without being intimidating, and you can tell people here are focused on improving themselves. Definitely worth the membership and highly recommended if you're looking for a solid, all-around athletic club.

Again. Last November it was out for nearly a month. Same laminated sign. Same vague timeline. Same "maintenance" fog where accountability should be. Let's be clear: this is the only steam room in Washington County. If there were another option, I'd already be gone. The only reason I maintain this membership is access to that amenity -- the one advertised, promoted, and built into the monthly fee. A membership is a transaction. I pay. You provide what you advertise. Since this location can't seem to keep a core amenity operational, maybe it's time the people at the top hear about it directly. VASA is backed by private equity firm Silver Oak Services Partners, and led by CEO Rich Nelsen. When a company scales across multiple states and markets premium amenities, operational consistency isn't optional -- it's the business model. If the steam room is going to be chronically unreliable, say that plainly. Don't market it as a feature if it's a recurring casualty of "maintenance." Members shouldn't have to escalate basic facility upkeep beyond the front desk. But when a pattern repeats, escalation becomes reasonable. Fix it. Maintain it. Or adjust the membership pricing and advertising to reflect reality. Right now, it feels like we're paying for a promise that keeps evaporating. And steam, at the very least, should show up. The building is nice and cold with lots of fans to keep it cooler. There's lots of parking and just the right amount of equipment. Sometimes the place can be packed, but that's just how any gym is. The only down side is that some of the equipment is a bit old. Overall is a clean affordable facility. I highly recommend it!

I also asked him to check if this was the gym my minor daughter uses, since my wife couldn't remember the name. He said she didn't have a membership there, so I told him I would check the other gym as well because I wanted to sign up where my daughter goes so we could go together. What turned me off was that he started talking negatively about the other gym and their equipment. I told him it wasn't fair to talk down about other gyms like that, and that people will choose what works best for them. I went to the other gym, and it is nicer, cleaner, and $10 per month less. When I got home, I confirmed that the membership we're currently paying for, for our daughter is at Performance Fitness. I'll be moving her membership to the new gym, and I'm sure her friends will follow. One recommendation for the owners: hire someone at the front desk who is more mature and respectful.

As I entered, a man held the door open for me for the exit way so I assumed it was the front). I even asked one guy where the front was and he just straight up ignored me. I just was upset how this whole thing was handled and how the front desk person threw atttitude in my face stating that he seen me on camera sneaking in? I even told him if he looked back at the cameras he can see me walking around looking for a worker... after all that I still offered to pay for a guest pass as I kept apologizing but he said that I was not welcomed and kicked me out. Im from out of state and was excited to try a new gym, lady stated on phone they have classes that…read moreyou can just drop in, I was thrilled told her I was 30 min drive and made a drive, I was first of all not greeted when I walked in, when you go to a new gym and walk in you expect the experience to be wonderful but she also recommend- the hiking trails or a nice gym down the road, crazy thing is I was telling my aunt and her son and his wife they should really do classes, I felt turned away not offering any advice for later classes this day or anything.

This has a different feel than any other gym I've been to. I love the atmosphere - everyone encourages and cheers each other on. There are no mirrors, no strutting, and no sense of competition. I've tried lots of gyms and this is the only one I've been able to stick with. Give it a try!!
