Hittles service is AWFUL! We asked them to come out prior to us having a new patio added to our home to make sure the irrigation system would not be harmed during the patio renovation. They refused, said they'd fix it afterwards (of course to charge us at least 750.00 to fix 1 head that wasnt capped off). After the patio was completed we had to wait 10 days before they would come out of check it- so we're 2 weeks without irrigation at this point. THEY DIDNT SHOW UP AND DIDNT BOTHER TO CALL. Now they say we have to agree to a "quote" before they come out. THEY HAVENT EVEN CHECKED TO SEE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!! WE HAVE ALSO BEEN WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT BUSH FOR A YEAR TO BE PUT IN. They cut our grass as part of the HOA and they do a horrible job, leave grass and mulch on our front porch and furniture, as well as our back patio and furniture. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. We moved into out new Del Webb community in late September 2025. The sod was laid in early September. Hittle did not meet industry standards, leaving large gaps, uneven grading, low spots and holes that could possibly twist or break an ankle. Not ideal for an over 55 community. On March 30, 2026, a Hittle representee named Eric attended a meeting of residents that have this and other issues with Hittle. Eric told the residents to contact Pulte Warranty as this was a warranty issue. Guess what? Pulte said, not their problem, residents signed a document at closing agreeing that landscaping was not covered by the warranty. Several residents have contacted Pulte only to be told it was not their problem. Since then nothing but crickets. Some residents are having their driveways widened which calls for Hittle to relocate some sprinkler heads. Eric waid the charge for that would be $100-$200. I had mine widened, a Hittle rep named Brian came out on April 20th and told me it would be between $500-$1500! Brian said he would send me a quote in a day or two. They are the WORST landscaping company I've ever seen used. I pay $255 a month for my HOA. They messed up laying sod twice when I first bought the house and it died. I had to do it myself and still pay HOA. They never cut the grass. The sprinkler system hasn't been used yet this year and its July. I've sent over 10 emails last summer and this summer to the HOA and nothing has changed. They don't or act like they don't speak English but they knew enough to tell my pregnant neighbor to F off when she asked why they weren't cutting our grass for the second week in a row last summer. I can't wait to put my house up for sale when the neighborhood is finished being built. By the way its Lancaster in Westfield. Pulte, Hittle, and All Access Management are ALL bad. I think I'd rather go through my divorce again that made me buy a brand new home here instead of continuing to deal with all 3 of these companies. read more

I am the president of an HOA in Westfield, and just want to give HUGE KUDOS to John Rice for the WONDERFUL job that he does! The recent "snow event" just sealed my appreciation for him, and his team. His communication with me was outstanding! I couldn't have asked for more! He contacted me before the event and several times during and AFTER the event, checking to see how our homeowners were doing, etc. Having been on several HOA Boards, and having had to deal with snow removal in the past, there are NONE who can hold a candle to John! Sod was laid with large gaps (2-3 inches in some spots), and was placed on top of debris and uneven ground despite grading requirements. This can be seen throughout our development (Pulte). Grading - pools forming in spots rather than running away from the house. Ground under hay mats was not cleared (including a foot long wooden landscaping stake). seed was applied sporadically. Have not responded to an inquiry to their "info" email address on their website, nor has our builder (Pulte). read more

I've never used this firm. This is a review based solely on observation. We just came upon a Hittle crew on 106th St, west of Cumberland Rd in Fishers. A limb had fallen out of the back of their truck and was blocking traffic. Okay, this shouldn't have happened in the first place but it did. I strongly suggest that you NEVER EVER use Hittle. Their work is horrible. They laid sod But didn't push the pieces together so my yard is full of holes. They planted trees crooked. They let sod die and then had to replace it because they didn't plan properly. They didn't coordinate with other workers even though they were supposed to. Instead of sweeping up the dirt from the street and the driveway and sidewalks in front of my house or hosing it down, they blew the filthy dirt all over my house and in my windows for over 45 min. It came in through the door cracks. And when I told them to get off my property they wouldn't leave. They're lazy, rude and filthy. Run!!! read more

Hittle did the landscaping on our new home. The day we moved in the front tree had lost most of its leaves. A few weeks later it had no leaves. When I called, they transferred me to Dustins voicemail. I left a message and never got a call back. There are 2 other neighbors that also have dead trees in their front yard and they wont replace them. read more

Our experience with Hittle Landscaping was deplorable. In the design phase of our new build landscaping and irrigation package, they were very accommodating. However, when the actual installation of the landscaping and irrigation took place, it couldn't have gone further south. Quality control for both irrigation and landscaping was absent. Mulch beds were not measured, nor equally sized, as per the drawings. Irrigation zones and heads per zone made ZERO sense. We're still puzzled as to why they put sprinkler heads in the places they did. We found heads by accident as they were buried under the sod. We had a Norway tree planted that died within 3 months. They begrudgingly replaced it, saying we didn't water it enough. The 2nd Norway, replaced by Hittle in the same spot, also died despite our having watered it regularly. We had a number of knock out roses among other plants that they put in place that also died. We finally went back to a landscaper (Stavros Lawncare) who we have worked with for years for help. They measured and cut the beds perfectly (like Hittle should have done from the start). They removed the 2nd dead Norway and discovered that Hittle had put a bad irrigation line in...Hittle had repaired it twice, then put a shem under the irrigation line to hold it up. Gravity got it and the line had sprung multiple leaks...so the Norway's were "marinating" in water. Hittle also planted a magnolia tree on our property which died, as they had failed to put in top soil. All of our plantings were put in on top of rock and clay...no topsoil was added, which explains why most of our landscaping was dying. Their customer service, post installation was horrific. I would NOT recommend this company. VERY disappointed. We had a fantastic builder with awesome subs. Hittle was the only glitch. read more

Very unhappy with a tree I received in a Hittle landscaping package! I built/moved into a new Pulte home towards the end of August 2016. The tree in my front yard was watered very well as it was also right in the middle of my new sod. So, fall/winter was right around the corner and now it is June and the tree is dead...it never bloomed this spring. I wasn't all that concerned because I thought surely this tree will be replaced. However, when I contacted Pulte, I was told 'sorry, can't help you, Hittle doesn't provide any warranty!' The Pulte Rep went on to also tell me that that I could obtain an estimate from Hittle for replacing at my own cost but let me know that there might be more inexpensive alternatives though. Really!?!!? So shame on both Hittle for planting an unhealthy tree and providing no warranty and also shame on Pulte for knowing they were wrapping an over-priced tree into my mortgage and not ensuring I had some type of warranty! read more
