Connie & her staff handled my wedding this past summer & they did an AMAZING job! I would highly…read morerecommend her. They were there on time to set up. Everything looked just the way I had envisioned it & how Connie & I had talked about. She was really able to take my vision & make it reality. She had done many weddings at the location of my wedding before but many of my guests who had attended there said they had never seen the hall look so stunning as it did that night. She also did the outside for the actual ceremony, which was just as stunning. The communication with Connie was very comforting to know that on such a big day she was taking care of some of the most important details. She was always quick to return my calls or email. She had the BEST pricing around & she would be the exception on the old phrase, " You get what you pay for" with A Special Occasion you get a WHOLE LOT MORE. Her staff even helped break down things later in the evening that they didn't have to clean up so we could focus more time with our guests. She has great working relationships with many of the hall rentals, she worked VERY well with our caterer in coordinating times so that I didn't have to. She is an A+ class professional but she makes it seem like you're just an old friend that she is there to help. You won't go wrong choosing her & her team.

Lisa's communication was top-notch. She answered every one of my questions promptly and thoroughly, and she was always available when I needed help. Lisa even stepped in when there was an issue with one of my vendors. Through Lisa's guidance and assistance, we were able to work everything out perfectly. Lisa also has an incredible eye for detail. She was extremely organized and covered details that I didn't even think of. I went into my wedding fully confident that Lisa would not miss a thing. Lisa is also just an incredible person. She's kind and hard-working. Not only do I consider her to be an amazing coordinator, but I now consider her my friend. It's rare to find someone as good-hearted as Lisa. On the day of my wedding, everything went perfectly. Lisa met me in my suite while I was getting ready and gave me the cutest bag filled with little goodies. She was a calming and happy presence that morning. The reception decor turned out BEAUTIFULLY because of Lisa. She has a strong eye for decor, and she set everything up in a way that exceeded my expectations. Lisa kept the night running smoothly, and everything fell into place perfectly. My only job was enjoy myself because Lisa handled everything. She even decorated our honeymoon suite with rose petals and candles. Lisa is extremely professional and very responsive to any and all concerns I had. She made me feel like there was nothing I needed to worry about on the day, and even handled some last minute issues that popped up without me worrying one bit. We had a non-religious ceremony and Lisa made me feel comfortable and planned everything exactly how I wanted it, even though it we left out many of the typical wedding traditions. If I had it to do over again, the only thing I would change is reaching out to Event Sisters sooner to have them help in the entire planning process. Lisa and her team at Event Sisters were invaluable in every and I HIGHLY recommend her wedding planning services to everyone whether you need just a little bit of coordination or want to sit back and relax as your day comes together for you.

My fiancé and I signed a contract with The Garden Ballroom, 353 3rd St NW, Winter Haven, FL…read more(operated by Once Upon A Dream Events by Lorraine, LLC) in January 2025 for our wedding reception to be held in February 2026. Recently, Lorraine informed us that she had lost the lease to the contracted venue due to issues with other building tenants. At first, she suggested an alternative location, which we agreed to. Weeks later, she would not confirm the arrangements at that location and then attempted to force us to hold our reception at another venue in a different city, several miles farther away from the original location, without our approval. We rightfully declined and requested a refund of our deposit. She refused, claiming in email, it is within her rights to move or transfer the venue to any place legally based on her DBA. After consulting an attorney, we have been advised she is in breach of contract, as the original location was a material and central part of the contract. She should not be able to move the location without consent from her clients - namely us. In our opinion, this business practice is unethical, unprofessional, and deeply unfair to anyone who trusts her with their special events. We caution anyone considering this company to think twice and protect yourself by consulting an attorney before signing anything to avoid being faced with a similar situation. We are sharing our experience so that others are fully informed before making such an important decision. We all deserve better than to be strung along, displaced, and denied refunds when a vendor cannot deliver the contracted service.

They yelled and yelled, showing complete lack of respect for their client as the doors were open. After being advised that she was the aggressor, the owner, Lorraine, threatened to get aggressive with the mother. She thought it was okay to snatch a $15 candle from a mother, which could be considered as assault. Then follow the mother into the lobby to continue scolding her. If you want your event to go smoothly without any hiccups keep looking. Their conduct was completely unacceptable and they felt okay behaving like high school bullies because, "They are the owners."

I found JMEP on Instagram and reached out to see how it works. From that day forward Jennifer was there for me 24/7! She knows EVERYTHING there is to know about planning a perfect wedding. The most important and impressive part to me is her constant communication and responsiveness. She literally made it impossible for me to feel stressed! I would text or call her and immediately she was on it. When it comes to her design skills, they're unmatched! I would give as much creative freedom to her because she puts together a stunning wedding! She puts in endless hours of communicating, planning, meeting us last minute when we were in town and listening to our every concern. I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect to help us during this special year. (Also it was 2020 so the whole covid thing .. won't even get into it but she helped us navigate it all!) To top it off, the day of she's there and she is WORKING IT!!! Kept me confident, on schedule, and had every detail of the event running perfectly. There truly is nobody better than JMEP! we attended a wedding at the beautiful Jubilee Estates but…read more venues event planner - Jennifer was very unprofessional, intrusive and thinks she is the hostess drinking and dancing on the job - wearing flashy clothing to attract attention, and rude to guests she made a conscious effort to be visible to wedding owners blocking the view of guests and monitoring continuously by being in the middle of a everything like gestapo at rehearsal and wedding day She was inviting guests to dance floor I have never seen a wedding planner like her oblivious to problems happening - sound system problems , one table that wasn't cleared up until waiters realized for about 30 minutes as she was too busy having fun herself - Best wedding planners are invisible and monitor and manage behind the scenes they make a conscious effort not to standout but yet here she was on bright red clothes on rehearsal day and flashy outfit with a hat dancing around during wedding - the wedding was shutdown at 10 pm due to noise ordinance ( law enforcement came) - planner should have known and dısclosed this as website stated 11 .she was not meticulous which is what wedding planning is about ! Despite being asked questions on timeline during rehearsal dinner wedding planner was not able to answer what time guest should arrive and was dismissive to all questions stating her assistant was there not herself When asked about potential tree nut allergy she responded ( so they probably should not eat it - rather than coming up with alternate plan) planner was blatantly rude to younger members of the family as well sometimes trying to physically snatch an object from their hands. I would not recommend her to anyone maybe his team members are better at doing wedding planning .
