My sister chose this venue for one of the most important days of her life, and unfortunately, it turned into one disappointment after another. The bridal suite was completely unacceptable. It was tiny, there were spiders on the ceiling, water was actively leaking from the ceiling into a bucket, and there wasn't even a private restroom for the bride and bridal party. From the beginning, we were told that everything would be run on "military time" and there would be no flexibility whatsoever. We were given virtually no opportunity to make adjustments or personalize the schedule to fit the bride and groom's wishes. The event coordinator's approach was cold, controlling, and unnecessarily confrontational, making everyone feel uncomfortable rather than supported. The event coordinator was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the entire planning process and on the wedding day. Instead of helping to make the day special, she seemed determined to make everything more difficult. The food was poor quality and disappointing. Guests were not served drinks at their tables and instead had to get them from the bar themselves. There wasn't even water or soft drinks available on the tables, which is a basic expectation at a wedding reception. We specifically asked in advance whether a projector was available and were assured that it was. Upon arrival, we were first told there wasn't one. After we discovered that a projector actually existed, we were informed that it would cost an additional $200 just to use it for a four-minute slideshow. This felt misleading and completely unreasonable. To make matters even worse, a staff member scolded my two-year-old daughter because she wasn't standing in line to get fruit. Speaking to a toddler that way was completely unacceptable. Later in the evening, we wanted to take a quick photo with sparklers. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the event coordinator yelled directly at a 65-year-old guest in front of everyone. There was absolutely no reason to speak to anyone that way, especially at a wedding celebration. The final incident was beyond belief. We had purchased and brought our own alcohol to the wedding. At the end of the night, the venue refused to let us take home the unopened bottles that we had paid for ourselves. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, they called the police and accused us of trespassing. Thankfully, the responding officers quickly recognized how unreasonable the situation was and made sure our property was returned to us. No family should have to deal with this level of disrespect, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior on a wedding day. A wedding venue should help create lasting memories for the right reasons--not become the source of stress, embarrassment, and conflict. Based on our experience, I strongly advise anyone considering The Garden Ballroom to think twice before booking this venue. We would never recommend it. There was only 3 iced coffees for 75 people

It is overall a very, very cute little place to have a small or casual wedding/elopement. My bestie gave me 8 days to plan her elopement and I found this little gem after we realized how gross the courthouse would be for the ceremony. It most definitely wasn't a venue for a larger wedding, but it was perfect for an elopement. We had 4 in our party and the day was not without stress or small hiccups, but overall it was perfect and affordable on short notice. Teresa provided great service and was accommodating on short notice. We did it on a Friday and we were luckily the only wedding party that day. My suggestion to the future bride is to be ready BEFORE you get there. The dressing room is small and getting ready there eats up your time for photos which made us feel a bit rushed. However, we didn't have a choice since we came from an hour away in Orlando and we didn't want the bride to be wrinkling her dress in an Uber for an hour. We made the best of it, the photos turned out great, and the couple got hitched. The couple really liked the minister provided as well.

She was extremely organized and covered details that I didn't even think of. I went into my wedding fully confident that Lisa would not miss a thing. Lisa is also just an incredible person. She's kind and hard-working. Not only do I consider her to be an amazing coordinator, but I now consider her my friend. It's rare to find someone as good-hearted as Lisa. On the day of my wedding, everything went perfectly. Lisa met me in my suite while I was getting ready and gave me the cutest bag filled with little goodies. She was a calming and happy presence that morning. The reception decor turned out BEAUTIFULLY because of Lisa. She has a strong eye for decor, and she set everything up in a way that exceeded my expectations. Lisa kept the night running smoothly, and everything fell into place perfectly. My only job was enjoy myself because Lisa handled everything. She even decorated our honeymoon suite with rose petals and candles. In all, Lisa is an incredible wedding coordinator and and an even more amazing human being. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with her. She'll be the coordinator for all my future events in Tampa. I highly, highly recommend her.
