Just moved to town this weekend and ordered food for house warming with family. Horrible experience. Part of our order was missing and burnt bread sticks. Had to wait for them to fix the issues. Other food was cold by the time we got the correct order. Asked for some money to be reimbursed or credit next visit and the manager rudely snapped no. refused to listen or make things right. We recently moved into town and wanted to find a local pizza spot. Hitchin Post is our closest option. We stopped in and decided to start simple ordering a pepperoni pizza and cheese bread. Both items were very good. If you want fancy, modern, pizza this probably isn't your place but if you want traditional, greasy, good pizza this is the place. Be prepared for some greasy goodness that you can top with parm cheese and enjoy the thick cheese and crunchy crust. The restaurant is a basic old school pizza parlor. Place your order that the counter and take a seat at a table to wait for your food to arrive. There's are lots of options on the menu. They have sandwiches, pastas, and a variety of other options as well. We'll be back to try some more topping loaded options soon. read more

We ordered a large half and half pizza. My wife ordered her half with beef on it, they put sausage on it. I tasted multiple bits and it was indeed sausage throughout her side. I then notice that they put no sausage on my half. Not a big deal mistakes happen, they did apologize and offered to make a medium for her half. But then they brought out the pizza with sausage again... and to top it all off as we were leaving there was an employee complaining about us bringing the mistakes to their attention. The place could really use a remodeling also, or at the very least a deep deep cleaning. Needless to say, it will be a long time before we go back... if we go back! read more

I parked in the hitching post parking lot briefly during non business hours. I got out of my car and the lady in the picture began to yell at me. She asked me if I was stupid and if I could read. She told me there was a sign that I couldn't park in her parking lot. After much more yelling I moved my car. When I took a picture of her for the review she marched over again and started yelling that if I posted any review about her that she would sue me for defamation of character. I have been to the hitching post before and it has great pizza but I will never support such terrible behavior from the owner. read more

My favorite pizza place my whole life. My family has been ordering pizza here for as long as I remember & I have always loved their pizzas more than everyone else's. I even worked at one of the other restaurants in town which I shall not name yet still Hitching Post can't be beat. We moved away a few months ago so we haven't made the drive out recently but decided to tonight since we missed it so much & it's still better than all the other pizza places in the new city we live in. 100/10 always recommend. read more

I can't believe that it took us so long to try this place out. I had never heard anything good about them when I worked in town so would usually get Sparkys, which is ok but no dine in or beer there. The restaurant we were going to had closed early so when looking for another place my hubby saw their salad bar sign. We love salad bars. Unfortunately covid has shut that down but we decided to stay and I'm so glad we did! It's perfect pizza for us. Thin, crispy with the right amount of gooey, excellent toppings and the crust is garlicky. Yummy! The employees were very nice and when the bartender brought us the beer it was Tony! One of our favorite people!! The next time we went we sat in the cozy bar and Tony wasn't there but the young man bartender was super nice and attentive. It's our new go to pizza place. I remember when this place first opened up! The pizza here is just so delicious and smells so garlicky and AMAZING. I don't remember the names of the pizza that my parents would get, but we would order the one that had alllll the toppings. We would always, always, always get our pizza from Figaro's. But when Hitchin Post opened up, this was our #1 go-to. The crust on the pizza is like garlic stick bread? If that makes sense. Like, the crust was just so delicious and had garlic and herbs on it. I could probably just eat the crust and be 100% happy with it. It's just THAT good! The quality of the pizza is amazing and the ingredients are always fresh. Service was always friendly! Went to dinner here this week and I would NOT recommend. The food was not good at all. The service was HORRIBLE. They don't even give you real dishes they give you paper plates. The cups were clearly not washed they had lips marks already on them. They were dirty.. don't waste your time and money here. read more

So let me start by saying that "hole in the wall" places are awesome, another example is this place in the middle of nowhere in Estacada, but the bar tender Jay is the nicest guy in the world and the pizza and the Gyro is the best in Oregon, thanks to Jay we had a great time and came back 6 more times and will keep coming back! Have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. Arrived with a group of about 15 at about 12:30 pm and we were told there was a big reservation coming in at 2pm. We needed to be back to the baseball field by 2:15-2:30 anyway and it never takes longer to eat than 1.5 hours with kids. A little context: there are two longer tables and a handful of small booths, so not a big place. The problem was two-fold: the food was taking an extraordinarily long time to come out and then the group with the reservation decided to come in early. At 1:15, the woman in charge began rudely telling us we had to leave now because we knew the other group was coming. Half our group had not received their food yet. We asked for to-go boxes and were told there was foil by the soda machine. Then she nearly ran me over with the cart she used to bus the tables and told me to get out of the way. My father had to leave his drink behind because they wouldn't give us a to-go cup and he hadn't had enough time to drink it before getting kicked out. She made multiple mistakes on getting people their drinks in particular and it was difficult to get attention after placing an order. The younger man working there took pity and did bring out a box or two for the people who could catch his attention. Everyone else had to make do with small foil sheets for their orders. Would advise anyone in town for an event or tournament to steer clear. Or anyone who values customer service. read more

We decided to go here based solely on Amanda L.'s review - thank god for yelp! The bartender was helpful and welcoming and we felt super comfortable. We took over the juke box, ordered a chanterelle mushroom pizza and a pitcher of ipa, took a trip to the salad bar, and proceeded to have a grand old time. It was Halloween weekend and they were having a hilarious and awesome party full of obvious Estacada locals dressed up and pounding jello shots. We happened to win the raffle and scored a sweet Captain Morgan's t-shirt and a bottle opener. Our check was cheap as fuck and the pizza totally hit the spot, especially after the pitcher of beer and a few jello shots. Good job Estacada! read more

i have only been here a handful of times and have not yet explored the whole menu... but they have the best chicken garlic pizza! there have been a few times where it seems like there has been a delay in getting our food but it tastes awesome so ended up being well worth the wait. definitely recommend checking them out if you have a pizza craving! read more

So we're in town for some tubing in the Clackamas River and afterwards we all needed some grub. We head over to the Hitching Post for pizza. The pizza is affordable and pretty darn good. So, if nothing else, you'll get hit food at a good price. hence the three stars. But this is a weird place. You walk in and order at the counter, then find a place to sit. You bring your own plates and cups to the table. You fill your own drinks and get your own silverware. But you don't get your own salad... the person who takes your order at the counter makes your salad at the salad bar and brings it to you. They'll also bring you cups of Ranch for $.50 a piece. If you ask for a to go box, they'll direct you to the spindle of tin foil by the silverware... But how do you carry a large pizza sized floppy tin foil thingy full of pizza home? So you go ask again, for a real box, and you look like the weirdo. I just couldn't figure out if we had a waitress or not... Like are we being served or is this self serve? Either way I'm fine, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out which one it was. I felt like I'd never been to a restaurant before.
